Laurie Hernandez Breaks Down on DWTS: Watch! Be Inspired!

Laurie Hernandez is only 16 years old. We just had to write that out in order to believe it. Because you would not be blamed, after watching this gymnast perform on Dancing with the Stars, for thinking she's about four decades older than that. Such is the sort of maturity on display each Monday night this fall, as Hernandez achieved a pair of perfect scores during Week 10 of the dancing competition. But what everyone is talking about today is less Laurie's dancing ability and more the tears she shed after completing a Foxtrot last night. Joined by partner Val Chmerkovskiy, Hernandez said ahead of time that she dedicated the routine to her grandmother, who recently passed away after a battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Nearly as soon as she stopped moving and shaking and processed the moment, standing in front of the judges on Monday, Hernandez simply broke down. No one could blame her. “I just went out there and just gave it my all, I kind of look at dance as a way to express my emotions and my feelings,” Laurie told E! News after the show. “Instead of having to say anything I was able to dance my way through it. It was kind of like a way for me to let it go. I feel like a totally different person. I feel like I've grown up a couple of years. It's been amazing. I've met some amazing people including big bro over here. “This journey has been incredible. I'm never going to forget it.” WATCH HER INSPIRING PERFORMANCE NOW:

Tim Samaras and Carl Young, Storm Chasers Stars, Killed in Latest Oklahoma Tornado

The Discovery Channel series Storm Chasers is mourning the loss of its own this weekend. On Friday, Tim Samaras, his son Paul and co-worker Carl Young were among nine who died when a tornado made its way through El Reno, Oklahoma. Samaras founded TWISTEX, the Tactical Weather Instrumented Sampling in Tornadoes Experiment, and that company released a statement on its Facebook page in light of the tragic news: “This is a devastating loss to the meteorological, research, and storm chasing communities. I ask that you keep the families in your thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. There is some comfort in knowing these men passed on doing what they loved.” Discovery also sent along its “thoughts and prayers” to the families of Samaras and Young, while tonight’s documentary – Mile Wide Tornado: Oklahoma Disaster – will be dedicated to their memories. Friday’s storm, of course, was the second natural catastrophe to hit the region this month. The town of Moore, Oklahoma was devastated two weeks ago when a tornado killed over 20 residents.

Amanda Bynes: One Nose Job Down, One to Go!

At least one good thing has come from the Amanda Bynes arrest . For Amanda Bynes, anyway. The actress confirmed to TMZ today that she has undergone a nose job, something she Tweeted her desire for nearly as soon as her mug shot went viral. “I have no bandage on,” Bynes told the site the day after the procedure, which took place Saturday in Manhattan. It’s healing on it’s own like my doctor asked.” But the total nut bar isn’t done with plastic surgery she says. “I’m getting one more in 3 weeks, they are short amazing surgeries done while I’m awake but under general anesthesia. It’s almost perfect.” So… the total opposite of Bynes in that case, huh? BURN! The actress concludes that once her nose “doesn’t look so awful in photos,” she’ll stop hiding it from the paparazzi.
