Nia’s coming back to the big screen as one of Tyler Perry’s leads in his new film, Single Moms Club . Wendi McLendon-Covey (think Reno 911! and Bridesmaids ) and Colombian actress Zulay Henao are also starring in the film, but the fourth lead hasn’t been picked yet. According to MovieWeb , the film is still in pre-production and is set to release in 2014: The story centers on four very different single mothers, who are forced to come together after an incident at their children’s school. They create a support group where they discuss the obstacles of motherhood, and try to overcome their own challenges. Nia Long will play one of the mothers, Lydia, alongside Wendi McLendon-Covey as Jan and Zulay Henao as Esperanza. Tyler Perry will direct from his own screenplay, and he will also star in an unspecified role. Tyler Perry is also producing with Ozzie Areu and Matt Moore. Production is scheduled to begin at the end of November in Atlanta. We reported last month that Lionsgate will distribute. Single Mom’s Club comes to theaters May 9th, 2014 and stars Tyler Perry, William Levy, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Zulay Henao, Nia Long. The film is directed by Tyler Perry.
