Special Screening red carpet of Netflix’s new film, Nappily Ever After. Executive producer Marc Platt, director Haifaa Al-Mansour and producer Tracey Bing, along with the cast Sanaa Lathan, Lynn Whitfield, Ernie Hudson, Camille Guaty, Brittany S. Hall were in attendance. SplashNews.com Attendees of the special screening also included a variety of influencers, celebrities and friends & family, including Gabrielle Union, Nia Long, Antoinette Robertson, Karen Civil, John Salley, and Mila J, among others. The premiere was followed by an after party at Teddy’s inside the Roosevelt Hotel. We singled out Sanaa, Nia Long and Gabrielle Union, but there were a lot of beautiful women at the big event. Why does it seem so certain that the rapper and the professional Instagram model have split for good this time around? Because they are no longer living together, an insider tells Us Weekly. “Tyga moved out,” a source tells the tabloid in its latest issue, although this same anonymous mole is quick to somehow add: “They’re not broken up. They’re just not spending as much time together.” LOL. And may we also add: LOLOLOLOL! It is true that couples who share a residence sometimes think the relationship has grown too suffocating and try to live apart while remaining committed to each other. But it’s also true that this romance ends up lasting exactly zero percent of the time. So, assuming Kylie and Tyga have split… or are about to split… or are simply having major issues these days, what is at the root of their discord? Surprisingly to some, the Us Weekly source cites Keeping Up with the Kardashians as the basis for tension between Kylie and her older man. “Tyga feels he’s been belittled on the show,” the magazine writes. Interesting, right? Maybe the twosome are just waiting for Keeping Up with the Kardashians to get canceled in the near future before they resume their full courtship. Ratings have been plunging for Season 13, despite the series having a major topic to focus on in Kim Kardashian’s Paris robbery. Might the public finally be sick and tired of this family in general? It’s taken long enough, right? Still, you never know when it comes to Jenner and Tyga. “Tyga does really make Kylie happy, and when they break up it makes Kylie super sad,” the insider tells Us Weekly. “He’s her first big love and they still speak every day.” In a separate interview earlier this month, a different friend acknowledged that trouble exists in this famous paradise. But he or she didn’t think it meant much in the big picture for these stars. “They tend to take little breaks all the time and then get back together,” the pal explained. Tyga told TMZ at the time: “We’re both just focused on our lives, our individual lives, right now. Sometimes things don’t work out, but I love her.” The celebrities reunited the following month (after Tyga stuck it to Demi Rose Mawby ) and the “Rack City” rapper went on to present Jenner with a $200,000 Maybach for her August birthday last year. For the time being, however, Tyga is living at his Hollywood Hills home, 24 miles east of his girlfriend’s place, where he shacked up for the past several months. “She will keep an eye on him,” says the Jenner insider. “She doesn’t trust him, but can’t let go.” Sounds like a recipe for happily ever after, doesn’t it?
Hakeem Lyon is not the luckiest member of the Lyon clan. That was addressed on Empire Season 3 Episode 12 when his birthday celebrations became a cause for concern for the people closest to him. Meanwhile, Jamal continued to get closer to Philip, but did that mean hurting D-Major in the process? When the episode got underway, Hakeem was partying the night away in celebration for his birthday. He floated the idea of a live stream of the events, but Andre was very much against it. However, it was quickly revealed he and Lucious were just trying to make Hakeem think they could not make the birthday party. Lucious also revealed he was not getting his son an expensive car he wanted. We then switched gears to Jamal waking up after the night before with Philip. On his cell phone, D-Major came out in a live stream, but things took a crazy turn when Jamal’s ex arrived at his apartment. This presented Jamal with some decisions as he wondered which man was best for him. After some wise words from Cookie, Jamal had D-Major kicked out of Empire. This also paved the way for Philip to punch Major, but Jamal was less than impressed and said Major was going through tough time. Surprisingly, Philip did not run off and ditch Jamal for his blatant favoritism over his ex-boyfriend. At Hakeem’s birthday party, the venue was not impressed when they learned none of the family members would be attending and refused to pay Hakeem a fee. The youngest Lyon then took the party to the Empire bar. That’s when two thugs appeared and helped Hakeem. He got his fee and gave the men watches. Things turned dangerous when Tiana appeared with some friends. The thugs started fighting with everyone, and the party was shut down. Tiana’s friend was injured, and she was upset that Hakeem did not ask about her. Andre then gave Hakeem a verbal beat down and shut the live stream down, telling his brother he was done at Empire. Lucious was shocked by his son appearing in the dead of night and chatted with him about fatherhood. They bonded, and Hakeem left with Bella. While all of this was going down, Giuliana continued to pursue Andre to get closer to Lucious. At the conclusion of the episode, she got close to Andre before revealing her master plan to a thug. She wanted to get closer to Lucious to take everything from him. Yes, we have another money grabber, you guys! In addition, Anika returned to town, and Leah offered to murder her.
