Tabloid Alleges Affair Between Whitney Houston and Jermaine Jackson

The National Enquirer is not the only tabloid that won’t let Whitney Houston rest in peace . According to The London Sun , the late singer carried on an affair with Jermaine Jackson – while the latter was married – in the early 1980s. The newspaper, which does not cite a single source, even claims Whitney’s hit single “Saving All My Love for You” was based on her secret romance with MJ’s brother. A few stolen moments is all that we share/You’ve got your family and they need you there. Though I’ve tried to resist being last on your list/But no other man’s gonna do/So I’m saving all my love for you , Houston croons on that track. The tabloid goes on to say that Michael Jackson was aware of the relationship and did not approve. It also says Jermaine was so broken up over Houston’s death that he could not attend her funeral. Late last month, Jermaine offered a few words of wisdom to Whitney’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina. [Photos: WENN.com]

Katy Perry: "Part of Me" Not a Slap at Russell Brand

Despite some lyrics that make clear reference to a relationship falling apart and love gone wrong, Katy Perry insists “Part of Me” isn’t about Russell Brand. “I wrote it two years ago, which is funny because everybody is like ‘God, it sounds so current,'” the pop star, 27, told MTV News about her latest single. The song is full of jabs – “You can keep the diamond ring/It don’t mean nothing anyway” etc. – leading many to conclude that it was a dig at Russell . Not the case, says Perry, whose split with Brand remains amicable. Katy and Russell wed in October 2010 and split in December 2011 . “Some people that I work with were like, ‘Just say you wrote it a couple of weeks ago,'” she says. “I’m like, ‘I’m not a d—, I’m going to tell the truth.'” “I wrote it two years ago when I was writing and recording Teenage Dream , [but] it didn’t feel right on the record. It’s not about [Russell Brand].” Still, Perry admits that the timing is eerie in a sense. “Sometimes I’m like, ‘Am I living in The Truman Show?’ It just feels like sometimes I’m caught in this movie where my life is paralleling my music!” “It seems very serendipitous, but, as un-fun as it sounds, I prepare everything. I’m overly prepared and kind of a control freak in the best of ways.” [Photo: WENN.com]
