In newly-released police interviews, Ronald Poppo can be heard talking about the suffering Miami face-eating attacker Rudy Eugene caused him. Poppo details the bizarre attack that left the homeless man missing 75 percent of his face and was seen by some as a sign of the zombie apocalypse . The 65-year-old Poppo described Rudy Eugene as initally “a good guy” who suddenly went “beserk” and threatened to kill him, CBS Miami reports. “He attacked me. He ripped me to ribbons. He chewed up my face. He plucked out my eyes. Basically that’s all there is to say about it,” Poppo said. Poppo’s statements were recorded during a July 19 interview with Miami homicide detectives. He said Eugene, 31, at first seemed friendly enough. Until he started to become irate about not being able “to score” at Miami Beach, where thousands of people were partying on Memorial Day weekend. “He apparently didn’t have a good day at the beach … And I guess he took it out on me or something,” a stunned Poppo recalled. “I don’t know.” “He just started to scream, and was talking kind of funny talk for a while too,” the victim added. “He must have been souped up on something.” Contrary to rumors that surfaced following the attack, Eugene was NOT on bath salts , only a small amount of weed … which is even scarier.

Lebron James Invites Olympic Swimmer To Dinner At The Dining Hall SMH. Your boy Bron Bron was trying to sneak in a swirl date while in London for the Olympics! Lauren Perdue is one of the United States’ top swimmers, and on Wednesday she swam the first leg of the 4×200 women’s freestyle relay. That’s nice and all, and she’ll likely take home some hardware, but her primary notoriety is coming from a couple of tweets she sent out last week. Just before the Games began, she tweeted, “Lebron James just invited me to dinner…Um wuuuutttt?!?” Around that time, the photo at right showed up on Perdue’s Instagram account. That is most definitely LeBron, trendy dork glasses and all. On Wednesday, just after her relay, she gave the full scoop to the Charlotte Observer. Before the Games began, the “Dream Team” hung with the swimmers in a kind of Avengers-meets-Justice-League American hero summit. In the course of that, LeBron did indeed invite Perdue to dinner. “He was kind of joking,” Perdue said. “But he was basically like, ‘Would you like to come eat with me at the dining hall?’ And I said, ‘Um, I’m sorry, I have a curfew.’” Hey, to be fair, LeBron never went to college, so perhaps to him the “dining hall” is this mystical, exotic locale not a vast, noisy world of free cereal where your head rings from last night’s overindulgence. Olympian Lauren Perdue is one of America’s top swimmers, but she’s making even more based on some Tweets she sent out – about LeBron James. Just before the Olympics, Perdue, who competes today in the 4×200-meter freestyle relay, wrote, “Lebron James just invited me to dinner… Um wuuuutttt?!?” Around that time, this photo showed up on Perdue’s Instagram account. That is most definitely LeBron James, NBA champion and Team USA member: Lauren told the Charlotte Observer today that before the Games began, the “Dream Team” hung out with the swimmers at a USA Olympic function. At that point, LeBron did indeed invite Perdue to dinner. “He was kind of joking,” she said. “But he was basically like, ‘Would you like to eat with me at the dining hall?’ And I said, ‘Um, I’m sorry, I have a curfew.'” “So I turned [LeBron] down, yeah.” While unexpected, the request seems harmless enough, and it’s unfair to assume any sleazy intent by LeBron, who is engaged to Savannah Brinson . It’s just the dining hall, a very public place. Don’t expect him in Kobe’s doghouse anytime soon … unless Savannah is taking cues from Vanessa Bryant .
