The actor anchors an ad for Siberian Crown beer that was released online Friday and which has led to a considerable amount of backlash, considering the conflict in eastern Ukraine and allegations surrounding the downing of Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 . In a statement to TMZ, Duchovny explains why he chose to star in the spot and why he’s not expressing support for any nation as a result of it.
