After all the recent controversy surrounding Rihanna’s ‘Man Down’ video, today it seems she does have a kind heart after all. The New York Daily News reported that Rihanna and 50 Cent and “Gossip Girl” actress Leighton Meester have lent their mouths to a campaign to find a donor for baby Ayelet, an upper West Side infant in desperate need of a bone-marrow transplant. [VIDEO] The celebrity do-gooders recently had their cheeks swabbed to see if they’re a match for 1-year-old Ayelet Galena, who suffers from dyskeratosis congenita, a rare life-threatening disease. The hope is that their fans will follow suit and get tested. The now red-headed pop star Rihanna tweeted “Can you help me find a lifesaver for baby Ayelet and other patients? Get swabbed (tested) because maybe You can save a life!”. The infant’s father, Seth Galena, an account supervisor at VLM Advertising, got rapper Pharrell and rock band Linkin Park involved in mid-May.But without a bone-marrow donor, Ayelet won’t survive. It’s not the first time Rihanna has led a campaign to save a sick girl’s life – she offered her support to leukaemia sufferer Jasmina Anema throughout 2009.
