Gary Winick had fought cancer for some time, and it metastasized throughout his body, his manager Rosalie Swedlin told the Hollywood Reporter. After his first surgery, he went on to direct Amanda Seyfried in “Letters to Juliet,” which was released last May. Gary Winick, an independent filmmaker who crossed over into the mainstream with romances such as “Letters to Juliet” and “13 Going on 30,” died on Sunday after a battle with brain cancer. He was 49. Sarah Palin Responds to Gabrielle Giffords Tragedy; Decries "Mindless Finger Pointing"

In a new video, Sarah Palin has decried the shooting of Gabrielle Giffords , along with the finger-pointing she believes has made her a scapegoat of sorts. Slamming critics who say she bears blame, she says “We must reject the idea that [when] a law is broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker.” Check out her full video response here and comment below: Sarah Palin Speaks on Gabrielle Giffords Shooting Sarah drew criticism after it was discovered that Rep. Giffords was targeted in Palin’s crosshairs map of GOP takeover opportunities released last fall. Palin says media figures “manufacture a blood libel that serves only to incite the very hatred and violence they purport to condemn. That is reprehensible.” Pointing fingers at finger-pointing, the former Governor adds: “We are better than the mindless finger pointing we endured in the wake of the tragedy.” What do you think? If He Keeps Making Them, Sam Will Keep Starring In Them

Avatar actor Sam Worthington says he is ready for as many sequels as director James Cameron decides on. Worthington, 33, played the lead role of Jake Sully in the movie, which was released last year, and says he is definitely up for a sequel. He told Hollyscoop: “When the boss decides that he is up for the challenge, when he writes it and tells me to jump, I’ll jump.” Worthington added that he hopes his character, who turned into a member of the Na’vi at the end of the first film, changes in the movie sequel.

State: Pamela Anderson’s Tax Issues

The former “Baywatch” star Pamela Anderson is currently having an issue with regards to paying taxes. California officials say that she failed to pay $493,000 in personal income tax. Subsequently, she is on the annual list of aberrant taxpayers released last Monday by the California Franchise Tax Board. The 42-year-old actress is currently competing on the television show called “Dancing with the Stars.” Anderson is one of the 250 individual and business taxpayers that owe more than $100,000 in back taxes. State records show a tax lien for $493,144 was filed against Anderson in April 2009. Atty. Robert T. Kelly Osbourne is set to release a new updated version of her autobiography Fierce . The reality star, 25, recently revealed in her column for UK magazine, Closer, that she is re-releasing her memoirs, which will include her most recent experiences. “Last week, I started a rewrite of my autobiography Fierce , which was released last year. The publishers and I have decided it could do with updating after everything that’s gone on during the past six months, like talking part in Dancing With The Stars, and the cover photo needs changing too – I had black hair back then.” And don’t forget about her dramatic weightloss and her work helping kids with their self-esteem !
