Will ‘Breaking Dawn’ R-Rated Sex Scene Make The DVD?

Director Bill Condon ‘went for it’ on too-hot-for-PG-13 version of the honeymoon, screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg tells MTV News. By Terri Schwartz, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in “Breaking Dawn” Photo: Summit “Twilight” fans should know by now that the original sex scene filmed for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” was a lot steamier than the version that made the final cut. The MPAA said the film would need an R rating if director Bill Condon didn’t cut out some of the “thrusting.” Needless to say, he did, and “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” currently reigns atop the box office with a PG-13 rating. But screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg admitted to MTV News that she wished the raunchier cut had made it to the big screen. “Bill, he went for it,” Rosenberg said with a laugh when she recently spoke to MTV News. “I wanted to keep [the footage].” Though all the bumping and grinding didn’t make it to the final cut of the film, Rosenberg is crossing her fingers that a lot of the footage will make it to the DVD. So everyone out there hoping that some of the more explicit parts of that sex scene will one day be released for public consumption, you just might be in luck. That’s not the only scene that got chopped from the final cut of the movie, though. Rosenberg said there was a sequence before Bella and Edward’s wedding that also got the ax because it was slowing down the rest of the movie. “There was a whole section before the wedding with Charlie, Renee and Carlisle and Edward, kind of a back-and-forth, but it just slowed everything down. But there are some nice things in there,” she said. To calm fans who might be upset about missing that interaction, Rosenberg added, “But again, these are things that will show up someday.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com . ‘Breaking Dawn’ Screenwriter Invited Herself To Wedding

‘I was [Bella’s mom] Renee’s friend from California,’ Melissa Rosenberg says of scripting backstory for her ‘Part 1’ cameo. By Terri Schwartz, with reporting by Josh Horowitz The wedding scene from “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” Photo: Summit The first “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” teaser trailer , released back in June, gave fans a look at the wedding of Bella Swan and Edward Cullens. But equally interesting were the guests of honor featured in the wedding sequence, which introduced new characters like the Denali clan of vampires. But with the movie in theaters on Friday (November 18), one attendee in particular will likely have Twilighters geeking out. “The Twilight Saga” author Stephenie Meyer made her first cameo in the series back in 2008’s “Twilight,” playing a restaurant patron. But the author-turned-executive producer on parts 1 and 2 of “Breaking Dawn” couldn’t resist returning to the big screen so she could attend the wedding ceremony she inspired. In a blink-and-you-miss it moment, Meyer can be spotted sitting in the pews on Bella and Edward’s big day. But she’s not the only behind-the-scenes figure who makes a sneak appearance. “I’m right next to her!” “Breaking Dawn” screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg recently told MTV News. Rosenberg understands, however, if fans don’t recognize her on the first viewing, because even she couldn’t find her cameo at first. She admitted to jokingly telling director Bill Condon that “there’s one guest at the wedding who’s not seen enough,” until Condon added a few more frames in the movie. But when Rosenberg still couldn’t spot herself among the guests, Condon took matters into his own hands. “Finally, during one screening, he stopped and said, ‘See! There you are!’ ” she said with a laugh. “It was Stephenie and then [producer] Wyck Godfrey and then myself and then [producer] Bill Bannerman, we were all in the same row at the wedding.” And as Meyer and Rosenberg are behind the “Twilight Saga” screenplays, it only makes sense that they took the time to come up with a backstory for their respective characters at the wedding. “Stephenie was married to Wyck, and I was [Bella’s mom] Renee’s friend from California,” Rosenberg explained. It sounds like there’s a fan-fiction to be written about the time between Meyer’s diner dinner and when she got invited to the Cullen wedding!” Did you spot the screenwriters in “Breaking Dawn – Part”? Woman Sues Google for Bad Directions

One day I was using my cell phone's GPS service to find the nearest Target. I was driving down the road when suddenly my cell phone piped up, “Turn right here.” I looked to the right. There was no road, just a tree and some grass. I chalked it up to a GPS glitch and turned right at the next corner. If I had been Lauren Rosenberg, however, I would have turned right at that very moment, hit the tree, suffered some cuts and minor brain damage, and then turned around and sued Verizon for the glitch in its GPS service. Seriously. Rosenberg, a Los Angeles California native, is suing Google because Google Maps issued directions that told her to walk down a rural highway. She started walking down the highway–which had no sidewalk or pedestrian paths–and was struck by a car. She is suing Google for her medical expenses ($100,000), as well as punitive damages. She is also suing the driver who struck her, Patrick Harwood of Park City, Utah. On January 19, 2010, Rosenberg was apparently trying to get from 96 Daly Street, Park City, Utah, to 1710 Prospector Avenue, Park City, Utah. She looked up the walking directions using Google Maps on her Blackberry. Google Maps suggested a route that included a half-mile walk down “Deer Valley Drive,” which is also known as “Utah State Route 224.” There's not much more to say–she started walking down the middle of a highway, and a car hit her. Who wouldn't have seen that one coming? According to Rosenberg's complaint filing: “As a direct and proximate cause of Defendant Google’s careless, reckless and negligent providing of unsafe directions, Plaintiff Lauren Rosenberg was led onto a dangerous highway, and was thereby stricken by a motor vehicle, causing her to suffer sever permanent physical, emotional, and mental injuries, including pain and suffering.” Google actually does offer up a warning about its walking directions–if you view Google Maps on a computer, it gives you the following message: “Walking directions are in beta. Use caution–This route may be missing sidewalks or pedestrian paths.” added by: 02

Eminem Collaboration ‘Was A Gift,’ B.o.B Says

‘He wanted to get in the studio with me,’ B.o.B says of Em’s work on his ‘Airplanes (Part II)’ track. By Steven Roberts B.o.B. Photo: MTV News Eminem is a busy guy — he isn’t exactly the most accessible artist to work with, which is part of the reason why his guest spots on songs like Lil Wayne’s “Drop the World” and Drake’s “Forever” are such big deals. He doesn’t just do it for anybody, because not just anybody can keep up with him. So when the track list for B.o.B ‘s debut album The Adventures of Bobby Ray was released, it was a surprise to see Em’s name included. B.o.B scored a guest spot from an enthusiastic Eminem on “Airplanes (Part II),” also featuring Hayley Williams of Paramore . Marshall Mathers said Paul Rosenberg introduced him to B.o.B’s work, starting with his first mixtape Cloud 9, and he liked what he heard. “Paul Rosenberg played him the Cloud 9 mixtape and it kind of gave him an idea of what my music,” B.o.B explained. “Eventually he started playing Em more of my stuff and was keeping him updated on my progress and eventually he wanted to get in the studio with me, so that was a gift.” According to B.o.B, working in the studio with Em was like being in a laboratory with a mad scientist, watching and observing how everything works. But he was happy to find that while each artist has different methods, they’re all trying to find that zone. “It’s really reassuring to know that every artist has a way of working but it’s all … the essence of it all to get in that vibe and to get in that zone, and everybody has a different way to get in that zone,” B.o.B offered. “It’s good to see a different way, because you know, ‘OK, I can do this or I can do that.’ It kind of showed me where I was thinking inside of a box and where I can open up even more.” What do you think of the collaboration between Eminem and B.o.B?
