This film earned $14.5 million in box office sales and could possibly top that if fans get the opportunity to see it on Broadway. Hopefully I can get Laurence Fishburne to play Dap… he’ll be the president now of the school. It would deal with issues in HSBCUs today… some of the same stuff from the last film… like the pledging process… but also lots of new stuff… like homophobia… it’s a big subject in it… class issues, color, hair texture… but it’s stuff happening today.” The best part about that is Tisha Campbell , Larry Fishburne and others were probably going to join the cast again. Pale Politics: This Week’s Best Clapbacks To Ignant White People

Read the original:

Source: Splash / Splash News The oppressive, cruel, and occasionally demonic attributes of Whiteness came out in full-force this week thanks to well…White people. The most viral moment involved an indigenous elder, Nathan Phillips , who had to stand inches away from the moist MAGA breath of a bratty teen. According to Today , Phillips was on the grounds of the Lincoln Memorial for the Indigenous People’s March. Meanwhile, the March For Life anti-abortion rally was going on around the same time, and it was full of MAGA hat teens from the Covington Catholic High School in Kentucky. Nick Sandmann was the teen who confronted Phillips face-to-face in the now viral video. According to him, some Black Hebrew Israelites were taunting him and his classmates before the confrontation with Phillips took place. The high school students tried to drown out the Hebrew Israelites with school chants, but naturally that didn’t ease tensions. So according to CNN , Phillips stood between the students and the Hebrew Israelites, banging his drum and singing a Native American protest song. According to Phillips, this is when Sandmann stepped in his face and wouldn’t let him move. Phillips says Sandmann’s classmates proceeded to mock his song, and he even said he heard teens yelling “build that wall.” You can watch the video for yourself below.   The incident was, once again, another symbol of White oppression. It wasn’t just Phillips against Sandmann, it was a small indigenous group against a crowd of young White MAGA supporters. White teens seized the opportunity to take up space on land that was acquired with the onslaught of indigenous people. The Make America Great Again hats were the cherry on top for how White people can flaunt their dominance even if they’re not consciously doing so. Thus, Phillip’s only form of defense and integrity in the moment was to continue banging his drum and singing his protest song. A subtle clapback, yet powerful one. Hit the next pages to peep some more noteworthy (and hilarious) clapbacks to the ignant White folks.

GTFOHWTBS: Covington Catholic High School’s Nick Sandmann Denies He Racist

Source: Bill Clark / Getty Covington Catholic High School Student Refutes Reports Of Racist Behavior Nick Sandmann thinks we’re all stupid as hell. That’s the only way we can explain his obscenely disingenuous denouncement of the “outright lies” that he helped fuel a racist confrontation between his Covington Catholic High School classmates and Omaha tribal elder Nathan Phillips. According to NBCNews , Sandmann contends that not only was he attempting to “diffuse the situation”, but that but he and his friends were targeted by “four African American protestors” yelling “derogatory” things at them. “They also taunted an African American student from my school by telling him that we would ‘harvest his organs,’” Sandmann said. “I have no idea what that insult means, but it was startling to hear.” Nothing “derogatory” about telling a Black person that white people wearing MAGA hats might harvest their organs. Anyone who’s seen Get Out knows this to be an empirical fact of life. Peep game though, Sandmann then tries to paint himself and his teachers as peacemakers… Sandmann said that, with the permission of a teacher who was serving as a chaperone, he began leading the group of students in school spirit chants “to counter the hateful things that were being shouted at our group.” Apparently, the best way to “counter all the hateful things” was to stand 2 feet from Nathan Phillips face smirking like the douchebag his parents raised him to be. “I never interacted with this protestor. I did not speak to him. I did not make any hand gestures or other aggressive moves. To be honest, I was startled and confused as to why he had approached me. We had already been yelled at by another group of protestors, and when the second group approached I was worried that a situation was getting out of control where adults were attempting to provoke teenagers. This next part is proof positive that the devil is lie. “I believed that by remaining motionless and calm, I was helping to diffuse the situation,” he said. “I realized everyone had cameras and that perhaps a group of adults was trying to provoke a group of teenagers into a larger conflict. I said a silent prayer that the situation would not get out of hand.” Silent prayer, huh? Yeah. Ok. Latest Covington Catholic video from the Lincoln Memorial incident on Friday has surfaced where one of the students yells, “It's not rape if you enjoy it!” Good luck spinning this one… pic.twitter.com/4yJXHrLP0Z — Amee Vanderpool (@girlsreallyrule) January 22, 2019 Nick Sandmann and all these kids can choke.
