The pregnant Jessica Simpson is moving from reality to scripted TV, signing on to star in a new sitcom pilot for NBC , according to a new report. The show is said to be based on her life … which is apparently funny. Nick Bakay ( Paul Blart: Mall Cop, Zookeeper and ‘Til Death ) will pen the script and executive produce alongside Electus’ Ben Silverman and Jess’ dad, Joe Simpson. “I am so excited to work with Ben and NBC again,” Jessica said. “I often find myself thinking that no one could ever make up the things that actually happen in my life.” “Between the real-life elements and a great team of writers, I think we’ll have people laughing!” Electus founder and chairman Ben Silverman added: “We are thrilled to team up with the multitalented Jessica Simpson to bring this new sitcom to life on NBC as she is truly a modern-day Lucy with incredible comedic chops.” “From running a fashion empire to her public image as a new mom, Jessica’s character [will] approach a variety of ‘everyday’ circumstances that will get audiences laughing out loud.” Simpson’s life has largely been spent in the public eye, from her early pop music success to MTV reality show Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica and beyond. Recently, the now 32-year-old has starred in to other reality shows, Jessica Simpson’s The Price of Beauty on VH1 NBC/Electus’ Fashion Star . We’re still waiting with bated breath for Sarah Silverman ‘s full-frontal nude debut in Take This Waltz here at Skin Central, but a lucky crowd at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York got an eyeful of Sarah and co-star Michelle Williams this weekend at a special advance screening. Afterwards Sarah and other members of the cast sat down for a Q&A, and as is only snatch ural (sorry, couldn’t help it) the Q’s quickly turned to Sarah’s nude scene, about which she was more than happy to A: ” The thing, and I want to be able to say this because [director] Sarah Polley isn’t here, but she always says she wrote that scene because women are naked together all the time, ” she said, causing all the male reporters in the audience to suddenly snap to attention. ” You’re in the shower at the Y or one of you is in the tub and one of you is reading a magazine, you’re hanging out and trying on clothes…it’s such a common, every day thing for women that’s never reflected in movies .” Sarah went on to describe in detail her snatch-shaving procedure for the film: ” The actual day wasn’t bad. It was very supportive and you forget it once you do it, but the morning leading up to it, I overgroomed, ” said the famously brash comedienne. ” You know when you even and even and even until nothing’s left? Known for her dirty mouth and extreme views, has Sarah Silverman finally gone too far? Some may believe so. The comedian sent out a Tweet over the weekend that included two photos and a caption. In the first image, she’s joined by boyfriend Alec Sulkin and a puffed out belly. In the second, her stomach has returned to its regular size and it’s accompanied by the words: “Got a quickie aborsh in cas R v W gets overturned.” Silverman posted the Tweet in response to Mitt Romney becoming the presumptive Republican nominee for President. He referred to Roe vs. Wade last January as “one of the darkest moments in Supreme Court history.” What do you think of Silverman’s actions? Funny and harmless? Or totally wrong and inappropriate?
