So for some reason, InTouch invited Teen Mom /porn star Farrah Abraham to their sixth annual “Icons & Idols” event. And I have to assume that the only reason they invited her to this party is also the only reason I’m posting these pictures: for the cleavage. Because the only thing iconic about Farrah is her boobs, no girl would ever idolize her face. But I probably don’t have to tell you that, since I’m guessing you have a working set of eyes. Larry DePrimo of the NYPD has become an Internet star, and deservedly so, after he was photographed by a tourist buying boots for a barefoot homeless man. One frigid night this month, he walked by the man and was inspired by buy him socks and boots; the image was captured by a visitor to the Big Apple from Arizona. “I had two pairs of wool socks and combat boots, and I was cold,” DePrimo, 25, said this week recalling the night of November 14, when he met the man. Encountering an unidentified, shoeless man on the sidewalk on 7th Avenue near 44th Street, the young officer inquired about the state of his feet. “I never had a pair of shoes,” the man replied, according to DePrimo, who’s assigned to the Sixth Precinct and has been on the force nearly three years. The officer walked to a Skechers store over on 42nd Street and shelled out $75 for a pair of brand new, insulated winter boots and thermal socks. DePrimo returned to the man a few blocks away, knelt down and put them on for him. “He smiled from ear to ear,” DePrimo said. “It was like you gave him a million dollars.” The officer also asked the man if he wanted a cup of coffee, but he graciously declined and went on his way. “I didn’t think anything of it,” DePrimo said of his act. The public clearly felt otherwise. The photo began circulating on Facebook, at which point the NYPD found and re-posted it. Tens of thousands of Likes and shares followed in the ensuing days.
Second film in the series will become the sixth blockbuster to feature IMAX footage when it’s released next November. By Kevin P. Sullivan Jennifer Lawrence in “The Hunger Games” Photo: Lionsgate It shouldn’t come as a surprise that for the second film in the “Hunger Games” series, new director Francis Lawrence wants to make ” Catching Fire ” even bigger than its predecessor. And now we know exactly how big Katniss, Peeta, and Gale will be in the sequel: 70 feet tall. According to an announcement from Lionsgate, “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” will feature sequences shot in the IMAX format when it opens in theaters in November of next year. Lionsgate digitally remastered the first ” Hunger Games ” film the IMAX format, but this will be the first time in the series that sequence will be actually shot in the much larger format. The IMAX showings for “The Hunger Games” greatly contributed to that film’s huge box-office presence, which is nearing the $650 million mark in global ticket sales, thanks in part to higher ticket prices, and should remain a factor when the movie opens in China later this month. “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” will only be the sixth blockbuster to feature IMAX footage. Christopher Nolan began the trend when he shot roughly a half an hour of his Batman sequel, “The Dark Knight” on 70mm IMAX film. The follow-up to that film, “The Dark Knight Rises,” is said to contain close to an hour of IMAX footage. Most recently, Brad Bird filmed key action set pieces for “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” in the larger format. “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” opens in theaters on November 23, 2013.
