A Boogie is from the Bronx. Rising Philly star PnB Rock was also allegedly involved in the attack. In his now most quotable interview, Jigga talked to Rap Radar about the British soul singer. Jay-Z described his first encounter with Winehouse at Joe’s Pub in New York City. He met her after watching her perform. He reflected on her hit song “Rehab,” saying, “She was telling us, she was writing the songs to our face. ‘They’re trying to make me go to rehab, I’m not going.’ Like, what? You have to go!” When Jay met her after the show, he was concerned when he heard her stuttering, “I was like, ‘You don’t even stutter. Why are you doing that?’ I looked at her, and I was like, ‘Stay with us.’ The first time we hung out, I told her, ‘Stay with us.’” Winehouse died at the age of 27 from alcohol poisoning. She had a long history of substance abuse and mental health issues. Her sophomore album Back to Black garnered critical and commercial acclaim. WENN Kanye Gifts Fan In Physical Therapy Custom Yeezys Yeezys might not cure all, but they’re a pretty good incentive for a physical therapy patient. One of Kanye West’s fans posted a photo of the gift Kanye got him along with a heartfelt note of appreciation from the rapper: In Ye’s own handwriting, he told his fan that he was an inspiration and thanked him for sharing his journey. Tyler suffered from a spinal cord injury five years ago, and has been steadily making his way from being wheelchair-bound, to learning how to walk again. He is very open on his Instagram about all of his struggles and triumphs with his unfortunate paralyzation, and inspires others like him to not be ashamed of what they’re dealing with. Kanye saw Tyler’s inspirational posts about his journey, and sent the fan a pair of custom Yeezys. This comes just a few days after Kendrick was spotted helping out a disabled fan of his …look at all these rappers doing good!!!

Ice Cube Tells A Story From NWA’s Humble Beginnings As soon as those jerry curls hit the stage, it was over… Everyone knows the details from ‘Straight Outta Compton,’ but Ice Cube is here to give us a story about NWA before they made it big. The Los Angeles natives traveled across the country to New York to do a performance at The Apollo, but before they could even spit one word, “boos” filled the whole place. This story took place before they made it big, so nobody knew who they were…especially in New York. They ended up running into Rev Run after the show, who recognized Eazy-E. He told them to keep going, and not let that experience effect them because cats in New York just weren’t on their wave yet. Fast forward a couple years, the next time Ice Cube hit that Harlem stage, people were throwing money and knocking down doors to get in.

You Got Served: Chris Brown Hit With Legal Papers In Karrueche Lawsuit During Houston Tour Spot BOSSIP can exclusively reveal that Chris Brown’s 28th birthday has not started off on a happy note for the superstar. Brown’s tour hit Houston Thursday night and after the show, the singer and his crew had an afterparty at Groove’s Restaurant and Lounge. That’s where things hit a sour note for Brown, as BOSSIP can exclusively confirm that Brown was finally served with the legal documents from Karrueche’s restraining order. BOSSIP witnesses at the scene tells us the singer was not pleased that his legal issues have finally caught up with him. “He was pissed,” a clubgoer who saw Brown react to being met outside the club by the server tol BOSSIP. Pretty much we’d expect. BOSSIP previously told you Breezy had been making it extremely difficult for Karrueche’s team to serve him, even going so far as to ban his lawyers from accepting the paperwork. This season, The Bachelor spoilers have been as dead-on correct as ever, but there are still two installments left for a potential shocker. Might one of the final three be ready to throw such a curveball? Canadian beauty Vanessa Grimaldi puts the screws to Nick Viall on next week's episode of The Bachelor , asking him about the future. Nick Viall is used to being put on the spot, but not like this. In the sneak peek at Monday night’s episode below, Viall hedges when the Montreal resident asks if he would consider moving there. You know, IF they decide to further pursue this romance. “ Nick is someone that I can actually picture spending the rest of my life with,” Vanessa, 29, says, but he's also Nick, and it's The Bachelor . Do we even need to explain any further than that? “But at the same time,” the special ed teacher adds, “we have that sort of relationship where our conversations are always so heavy.” “Today I felt like Nick was questioning whether or not he wants to be as close to my family as I am. It’s been upsetting me.” During Grimaldi’s hometown date – Corinne Olympios got cut, leaving Vanessa, Raven Gates and Rachel Lindsay – Nick met her family. That's customary for Bachelor semifinalists, but what's a little unusual is that subject of where they would move after the show came up. It didn’t seem as if the two had discussed their plans post- Bachelor , so Vanessa brought it up during their subsequent fantasy suite date. That idea didn't necessarily go over all that well. “Is there anything that you would feel uncomfortable compromising on?” she ask. “Is moving for you something you don’t see yourself doing?” “I’ve moved a lot,” Viall, 36, responds. Ouch. “I’ve never imagined living in Canada,” he adds. “I’ll be honest, that’s not easy for me to picture.” “I hope that’s not a non-negotiable,” Nick tells Vanessa, leaving the door open. “I think I would do anything for the woman that I love.” “Not to sound corny, but I’m really proud to be an American,” The Bachelor star adds, very much sounding corny in the process. Vanessa's perfect response to that nonsense? “And I’m very proud to be a Canadian.” The plot thickens, eh?! (Sorry.)

Spike Lee And Russell Simmons Say The Academy Made A Mistake Not Giving Denzel An Oscar For Fences As predicted by many, Denzel Washington lost out on his Best Male Actor In A Lead Role Oscar Sunday night to Casey Affleck , whose movie “Manchester By The Sea” seemed like another boonies of Boston working class movie produced by Matt Damon and Ben AFfleck to us… Affleck was gracious in his acceptance and acknowledged that he learned his craft by watching Denzel. Two of our culture’s elder statesmen — Spike Lee and Russell Simmons — wasted no time in commenting about the tremendous failure on the Academy’s part to give Denzel his just due. Russell Simmons echoed Spike and Devon Franklin’s opinion that Denzel crushed his role in ‘Fences’ Russell went kinda hard in the paint after the show but we noticed he took down this strongly worded post and replaced it with the one below: Wonder why he did that? You think Denzel asked him to change it? The academy? In anycase, do you agree that Denzel was robbed? Did anyone even see ‘Manchester By The Sea’? Will you see it just to find out if Casey Affleck CAN actually carry Denzel’s shoes?
