In The Vault: Mac Miller Reportedly Recorded A Whole Album With Madlib Before His Passing

Source: Jessica Alexander/Future Image/WENN.com / WENN Mac Miller And Madlib Have A Whole Album Together As with most artists who leave us too soon, the untimely death of  Mac Miller back in September has a lot of fans wondering how much unreleased music–if any–he left behind. Luckily for us, it’s starting to look like the rapper could have a lot of material left in the vault, and what’s even better–a big chunk of those tracks could be on an unreleased LP he reportedly recorded with superstar producer Madlib. In an interview with DJ Booth , producer Thelonious Martin revealed that Madlib told him about a full album that he and the late Pittsburgh performer recorded before his passing. “When we was working on ‘Guidelines,’ he was always excited about all these other songs. He had this Madlib album, called  Maclib . I opened for Madlib in Chicago last summer, at Pitchfork. So I’m opening for Madlib, and about 15, 20 minutes left in my set, Madlib pulls up. Pete Rock walks up as well.” Martin continued, “So I’m trying to focus and DJ, and Madlib gets on and 15 minutes into his set he just randomly plays a Mac Miller joint. And I turn to him, I’m like, ‘There’s more of these, right?’ He’s said, ‘Oh, yeah, there’s a whole album. Maclib . ’ What! What! He just kept moving on with his DJ set. If Madlib decides to bless the world with that project, he should.” Any unreleased Mac Miller tunes–especially accompanied by some Madlib beats–would be a welcome release for fans hoping to hear something new from the rapper. His last album, Swimming, was released in 2018 and earned a nomination for Best Rap Album at the 2019 Grammy Awards.

Expired Beef: Pusha T’s Camp Flog Gnaw Performance Featured A “F**k Drake” Screen, But It Wasn’t His Idea

Photo by Zachary Mazur/FilmMagic Pusha T Says He Never Approved Drake Diss On His Festival Performance Screen Just when the world thought things had come to a halt,  Pusha T‘s set at Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival on Saturday ignited those former beef flames with screens behind the rapper reading “Fuck Drake,” encouraging the crowd to chant the same. Even though fans were taken aback by the timing of this gesture–since the feud between Pusha and Drake seems to have calmed down–it’s not completely unlike Push to make a bold statement. Fans posted the photo from the rapper’s Camp Flog Gnaw stage in excitement, waiting for another round of beef to kick off…but it looks like we won’t be getting that anytime soon. Pusha T really want that Drake smoke pic.twitter.com/CVLMu3YUSf — Quake (@QuakeGW) November 11, 2018   The picture made its rounds on the internet, and after his set, Pusha logged onto Twitter to set the whole situation straight. Though he’s had fans at his shows chant “f**k Drake” in the past, this screen wasn’t his doing–and he wants everyone to know that. He tweeted about the incident, writing, “Corny azz tech dude f**king with my screens at @ CampFlogGnaw, I speak for myself and all of you know how I make my statements!! Dissing anybody on screen isn’t part of my show…” Corny ass tech dude fucking with my screens at @CampFlogGnaw , I speak for myself and all of you know how I make my statements!! Dissing anybody on screen isn’t part of my show… Otherwise great festival, thanx @tylerthecreator for having me out. — King Push (@PUSHA_T) November 11, 2018 So there you have it. Even though King Push still might not be the best of friends with the Toronto rapper, he wants everybody to know that dissing people on screen will never be apart of his stage performance. In other Camp Flog Gnaw news, Pusha’s G.O.O.D. Music counterparts Kanye West and Kid Cudi will be performing on Sunday for their first performance as Kids See Ghosts. We all know Kanye loves his onstage declarations, so we might get some more info on whether or not the crew is still beefing with Drake all these months later.

Amazing Ye: Kanye Gives Paralyzed Fan Custom Yeezys For When He Gets Back On His Feet

WENN Kanye Gifts Fan In Physical Therapy Custom Yeezys Yeezys might not cure all, but they’re a pretty good incentive for a physical therapy patient. One of Kanye West’s fans posted a photo of the gift Kanye got him along with a heartfelt note of appreciation from the rapper: In Ye’s own handwriting, he told his fan that he was an inspiration and thanked him for sharing his journey. Tyler suffered from a spinal cord injury five years ago, and has been steadily making his way from being wheelchair-bound, to learning how to walk again. He is very open on his Instagram about all of his struggles and triumphs with his unfortunate paralyzation, and inspires others like him to not be ashamed of what they’re dealing with. Kanye saw Tyler’s inspirational posts about his journey, and sent the fan a pair of custom Yeezys. This comes just a few days after Kendrick was spotted helping out a disabled fan of his …look at all these rappers doing good!!!

Something’s Gotta Give: Chicago Suffered Murder Number 300 Over Father’s Day Weekend

Chicago Has Recorded 300 Homicides In 2016 So Far The city of Chicago continues to be engulfed in heartbreaking, gut-wrenching, gun violence and according to MSN , the numbers tallied up sky high, even over what should have been a joyous Father’s Day weekend…. Chicago recorded its 300th homicide this weekend and tallied six others over a 60-hour period that saw 55 people shot, 13 fatally, from Friday afternoon through early Monday morning. So far this year, close to 1,800 people have been shot across the city and more than 200 of those wounded have died from their wounds, according to records kept by the Chicago Tribune. A total of 306 people have been killed this year, by shooting, stabbing or other means. A 3-year-old boy was among the wounded who survived the weekend shootings. Police said he’s in critical condition. The 3-year-old was shot in the right shoulder near East 61st Street and South Kimbark Avenue in the Woodlawn neighborhood at 6:15 p.m. Sunday, police said. The boy was in a car seat when an unknown attacker fired shots at the car, police said. People in the vehicle managed to get the boy to University of Chicago Medical Center. He was then transferred to Comer Children’s Hospital in critical condition. Five people were fatally shot and nine others were hurt between Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. Four of the fatalities occurred in seven hours. The fatalities included a 16-year-old boy who was killed in West Englewood about 9:05 p.m. Friday. He was in the front passenger seat of a car driving through an alley in the 6500 block of South Hamilton Avenue when two males came up and fired shots, according to police. At least 28 people were wounded, three fatally, in shootings from 8:30 a.m. Saturday to 4:30 a.m. Sunday, the equivalent of somebody shot every 43 minutes. God bless each and every person who lost a loved one to these senseless tragedies. Is there ANYTHING that can be done to quell the violence???? Image via Shutterstock

BOSSIP Exclusive: 2 Chainz’s “Thot’s” Second $8 Mill Defamation Suit Thrown Out!!

Christine Chisholm’s $8 Million Lawsuit Against 2 Chainz Dismissed 2 Chainz scored a legal victory against the woman who said he humiliated her when he branded her a “thot” in an online video. A judge Tuesday granted 2 Chainz’s request to toss Christine Chisholm’s lawsuit, which accused the rapper of defamation, invasion of privacy, emotional distress and unfair or deceptive trade practices for releasing his song “Watch Out,” which she said threatened her life, and to caused her to be harassed in her hometown of Charlotte. Chisholm  unsuccessfully sued 2 Chainz in 2015 for leaking a 2014 viral vid of her backstage at his concert under the hastag, #IzThatYoThot, and allegedly threatening her afterwards. But Chisholm said the new suit was based on several instances of harassment, violence and intimidation from the rapper’s goons after he released “Watch Out.” The woman said since 2 Chainz dropped “Watch Out,” his associates brandished a gun at her, tried to run her over and shot up cars that were parked at her family’s home. 2 Chainz argued in court papers that Chisholm didn’t have a leg to stand on in the suit because she’d already sued him – and lost – last year in local courts. The judge agreed, and ruled that Chisholm’s case was a no go because her recent claims were based on what happened during her original “thot” suit, and she should have raised them in that litigation.

Kanye West Yells at Fans in a Wheelchair: STAND UP!

Oops! Kanye West’s bad! In an awesomely hilarious clip from the rapper’s concert in Australia Friday night, West refused to sing a track unless EVERYONE in the crowd got on their feet. And all attendees heeded the artist’s order almost immediately… except two rebels. “This is the longest I’ve had to wait,” Kanye said of the pair who refused to get out of their seat, openly telling the crowd that he was waiting on them before he would rap another note. The only problem, as Kanye was eventually told? Those two folks were in wheelchairs. “That’s fine,” West relented, breaking into the song and, hopefully, feeling a bit embarrassed about the incident. Kanye West Yells at Wheelchair-Bound Fans The husband of Kim Kardashian was actually hospitalized earlier in the week for a migraine, with insiders saying he’s totally fine and others saying he acted like a total douche to patients and doctors. Is anyone shocked by this? 13 Great Kanye GIFs: Best of the West! 1. Don’t Ever Talk! Kanye is amused at first, but his mood quickly changed. Probably about how he would react to these GIFs.

Frank Ocean NOT Pressing Charges Against Chris Brown, Choosing "Sanity, Forgiveness"

Frank Ocean WILL NOT press charges against Chris Brown after last week’s brawl, announcing that he after some soul searching, he has opted to move on. Ocean posted on his Tumblr, “As a child I thought if someone jumped me it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man. But as a man I am not a killer.” “I’ll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit. Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. Peace, albeit trite, is what I want in my short life. Peace.” Simple, yet profound thoughts from the rapper. The Chris Brown-Frank Ocean fight broke out last Sunday outside a recording studio in L.A., allegedly (at least at first) over a highly coveted parking spot. A witness on scene said Breezy threw the first punch and Ocean spoke to the police, while Brown left the scene and was the suspect in the battery case. Sources close to Chris remained adamant Frank came at him, Ocean’s crew started it, and that Brown never hit anyone. No one was charged in the case. With Frank letting it go, that’s how it will stay. Hatchet, buried … at least until the next studio run-in.
