Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell Welcome Baby #2!!!!

Back in June, Joe Duggar and Kendra Caldwell announced that they were expecting baby #2 to be a girl . Well, the long wait is over! Kendra and Joe have welcomed their newborn into the world! Us Weekly reports that on Saturday, November 2, Kendra Caldwell gave birth to the newest Duggar grandchild. They ushered the sweet little girl into the world at 5:33 AM. The precious newborn is named Addison Renee. At birth, she weighed 7 pounds and 12.5 ounces and measured 20.5 inches in length. Joseph and Kendra released a joint statement to share the happy news. “Addison Renee has made us a family of four,” the couple gushed on Monday. “And,” they continued, “we are already so in love with her!” “She made a quick arrival in the early hours of the morning,” the couple noted, “and has already melted our hearts.” Joe and Kendra were sure to acknowledge that they weren’t the only ones welcoming the little girl to the family. “We know Garrett is going to be a great big brother,” the couple affirmed. In keeping with their brand, the couple expressed: “Children are each a special gift from God.” Their statement concluded: “And we are so happy our newest blessing is here.” Back in April, Joe and Kendra confirmed that they were expecting. “We are ready to double the fun at our house!” the couple shared excitedly. They expressed: “Being parents has already proven to be a greater joy than we had hoped or imagined.” “We love getting to parent together,” Joe and Kendra added. In the statement in April, Joe and Kendra continued: “And are loving every moment and milestone.” “We are very happy that our little family will welcome a new addition later this year,” they announced. “Children really are a blessing from God!” they proclaimed. Now they have two blessings in their household. So cute! Kendra gave birth to little Garrett just 17 months ago. In June of 2018, the couple put out a statement about how thrilled they were to become first-time parents. “No matter how many times we’ve experienced the joy of babies born in our families,” their statement began. The couple continued: “There’s nothing comparable to the joy in our hearts today!” “Children truly are a gift from God,” they said that time, too. “We are so thankful for his safe arrival and this new journey as parents.” Even as recently as October, Kendra and Joe predicted that adding a second baby would be easy . “We’re kind of already in that napping, changing diapers groove with Garrett still, so I think it will be just adding another [to that],” Kendra guessed. “We’ll both be busy, I guess,” Kendra acknowledged. “All hands will be tied up taking care of little ones, but there are always challenges.” “[Our son] can’t do much himself, so he’s going to need a lot of help,” she noted. “But we’re excited about this new chapter.” Fans are excited for the couple to discover that having two children is much harder than simply double the workload of one child. The Duggars in the midst of a mini-baby boom. Just last month, rebellious cousin Amy Duggar welcomed her first child . Back in June, Jessa Duggar welcomed her third . Currently, Josiah Duggar’s wife, Lauren Swanson is pregnant with her first child. It would be an exciting time for any family, but considering the emphasis the Duggars place on procreation, you can bet Jim Bob and Michelle are especially thrilled with the year’s developments! Christine Brown’s Aunt Begs Star to Leave Sister Wives: It’s an Abusive Cult!

As previously documented, Christine Brown has lost a lot of weight. But someone very close to the long-time Sister Wives star is now hoping Christine loses something else in the near future: Her wedding ring. And the commitment that comes along with it. The veteran TLC personality, who rarely shares photo with spiritual husband Kody, is the subject of a new interview between Radar Online and Kristyn Decker. The latter is both Christine’s aunt and also the author of Fifty Years in Polygamy: Big Secrets and Little White Lies . She’s someone who grew up in polygamy, only to finally escape 33 years after she married her first husband. In other words: This is not some random critic of Christine, Kody and their unusual lifestyle… … this is someone who can speak from personal experience. Now that she’s happily in a monogamous marriage, Decker is calling on her estranged niece to do the same. “I was still in polygamy when Christine joined,” Decker tells Radar of watching her relative become a Sister Wife. “She looked happy. I thought, ‘She’s crazy about Kody, so go for it!’ Even as a believer, I wanted to privately to go tell them to run. I knew how crazy and insane it was. “You don’t know what you’re getting into. I wish I would’ve warned people.” Many observers have offered similar critiques for Christine and the three other women who shares Kody as a husband. But almost none of them have known the life of polygamy in the way Decker has, which is why her words are garnering national attentoon. “It’s a miserable-happy life,” she explains in this article. Meaning what, exactly? “The Browns are miserable-happy,” she says, elaborating as follows: They’re miserable on the inside. I don’t think any of them know what genuine happiness and freedom is. I thought I was happy. I thought life was great and I was serving God. “I was happy serving God, but miserable doing it. The more you sacrifice, the better your blessings will be in heaven.” Decker actually has appeared on Sister Wives. Her name or face may be familiar to long-time viewers. But she tells Radar that she and Christine never really talk, mostly due to Decker’s critical nature of her niece’s arrangement. Why does she think Brown can’t see clearly? Why isn’t Christine getting the heck out of there? Because she makes most of her income off the program and would be in financial trouble if she left. It’s a tragic and vicious and emotionally-damaging cycle. Kristyn went on to tell Radar how the Brown family belongs to is called the  AUB, which stands for Apostolic United Brethren. She said that while physical abuse is common, it is “not as common as emotional and mental abuse.” “Polygamy is a system of abuse overall,” she says. “Mental, emotional, and spiritual. The groups believe their leaders are the right ones and the others are wrong. Overall, polygamy is a system that’s harmful to men, women, children and society. “You will live in polygamy and the women will be submissive. The women must let the men have other wives or they’ll go to hell.” Sounds about right, doesn’t it? Helps explain why Meri Brown always sounds so sad, doesn’t it ? Kody married first wife Meri in 1990. Second wife Janelle joined the family in 1993. Christine married Kody in 1994. Then, Robyn joined the family in 2010. These two legally married in 2014 — meaning Kody had to divorce Meri — so he could adopt Robyn’s children from a previous marriage. In the family’s tell-all memoir, Becoming Sister Wives: The Story of an Unconventional Marriage , Christine opened up about the ups and downs in their marriage. She admitted that Kody’s marriage to Robyn really took its toll on her. “When Kody started courting and then married Robyn it really rocked me. I gave birth to Truely and was suffering from extreme postpartum depression,” wrote Christine, adding: “I’d never thought I’d feel such a sense of loss and such crippling jealousy. I thought I was better and stronger than that, I really did.” Don’t blame yourself, Christine. Just get the heck out of there — NOW. Noah Brown and Rhain Alisha Welcome Baby Boy!!!

Back in November, Alaskan Bush People stars Noah Brown and Rhain Alisha announced their pregnancy . This week, Noah and Rhain welcomed their baby boy — and have revealed his name. You can see an amazing photo of this Alaskan Bush Grandbaby, below. In a statement to People , the family shared the wonderful news. “Rhain and I are thrilled to announce the arrival of our son Elijah Connor Brown,” Noah proudly announces in a statement. Little baby Elijah was born on February 26. The wee one weighs in at 7 pounds 5 ounces and, at birth, measured 20 inches in length. “Mom and son are healthy and happy,” Noah adds. Speaking of his son, Noah says “he’s already working on his howl!” “Rhain is a wonderful mother already,” Noah praises. He continues: “I am truly in awe of her.” “And,” Noah affirms. “We are both very grateful and excited to welcome him to our family.” “He’s happy, healthy, and just perfect,” Rhain gushes with glee. That is so sweet!! And, thanks to Noah’s teenage sister Rain, we have a picture of the precious child. “Dear Elijah Conner, I first met you at 3:30am Tuesday February 26th,” Rain writes on Instagram. “And I will never be the same,” she says. “You have forever changed my heart,” Rain shares. “And I will spend the rest of my life protecting loving and teaching you all I know.” “May the road rise to meet you, and the wind always be at your back, and the rains fall softly on your fields,” Rain quotes. “May God hold you gently in the palm of his hand,” the quote concludes. “Love you Eli,” Rain gushes. “And I love you Noah and Rhain, you are amazing parents and you will only get better with time.” Speaking to People, Billy Brown celebrated becoming a grandfather. “The day is finally here,” he says excitedly. “We’re grandparents!” “Ami is over the moon and we all feel so blessed,” Billy says. There was a time when no one in the family believed that Ami would be alive today to expereince being a grandmother. “We can’t wait to meet the handsome young man,” Billy announces. “And have them all back on the mountain soon.” Noah has at times seemed to have a strained relationship with his family. Though happily engaged to Rhain, he already had a life in mind for himself and his fiancee. He has appeared as more of a guest star on recent seasons of Alaskan Bush People . It is perfeclty normal and healthy for an adult man to have his own life — and we somehow suspect that Billy and Ami aren’t complaining. Sure, they’re not seeing their son as much as they might like. But on the plus side, they got a grandbaby out of the deal! Sounds like a fair trade to us, you know? Congratulations are in order for the entire family, but especially for Noah and Rhain. We hope to see plenty more photos in the near future! View Slideshow: Alaskan Bush People: 13 Secrets They Don’t Want You to Know

Question: Should Black & Brown People Care About The Green New Deal?

Original post:

Source: Alex Wong / Getty On Thursday, New York Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez introduced a new climate change resolution aimed at bringing a Green New Deal legislation to life. At 29 years old, Alexandria is repping for a millennial generation that’s often unfairly categorized as entitled at best and ill-informed at worst. But somewhere in between this is a generation demanding better from our leaders, and in many cases the youth are following the trails of movers and shakers that came before us. But with that being said, what are the goals of this Green New Deal and maybe more importantly… Should Black and Brown people care? In many instances, politicians might sell an idea to the most marginalized that ultimately won’t benefit us in the end. Well first, a couple of things on the Green New Deal, according to NPR :  1. Right now, this is a non-binding resolution Ocasio-Cortez isn’t actually introducing a bill that would create programs if passed by Congress. Instead, she’s introducing a proposal to the House entitled “Recognizing the duty of the Federal Government to create a Green New Deal.” If agreed upon, the House will affirm that the initiatives in the proposal should be carried out in the coming years. Meanwhile, Democrat Sen. Ed Markey  is introducing a companion proposal to the Senate. 2. The goal of the proposal is to create millions of “good, high-wage jobs” by aiming for net-zero greenhouse gas emissions. No matter if you’re Black, Brown, alabaster… Who doesn’t like a good “high-wage job?” As for greenhouse gases…they’re not cute. They trap a lot of heat in the atmosphere which contributes to global warming and thus climate change, and thus some of the bizarre ( and dangerous ) weather we’ve been experiencing lately. 3. It’s urgent According to the United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change , the world has 12 years to reverse greenhouse gas emission trends in order to prevent irreversible global warming. So yea, the Green New Deal is trying to carry out it’s plan in the next ten years. 4. The U.S. stay emitting greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide being the biggest one), and that’s gotta stop. According to the resolution, the U.S. is “responsible for a disproportionate amount of greenhouse gas emissions, having emitted 20 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions through 2014. 5. The goal is to switch from energy that creates greenhouse gases (e.g. the burning of fossil fuels) to clean, renewable energy (e.g. solar energy, wind energy, etc.) Just think about how oil powers cars or how coal might power electricity. The Green New Deal is trying to stop all of that and switch to renewable energy. O.K. so now that we know the primary goals, how are we going to get this, clean renewable energy AND HOW ARE BLACK & BROWN PEOPLE GOING TO BE AFFECTED? More on Black and Brown people soon. But first, below are some strategies the New Deal laid out in a FAQ sheet and summarized by NPR. A lot of these strategies hope to create new jobs, which can boost the economy: “upgrading all existing buildings” in the U.S. for energy efficiency; working with farmers “to eliminate pollution and greenhouse gas emissions … as much as is technologically feasible” (while supporting family farms and championing “universal access to healthy food”); “Overhauling transportation systems” to reduce greenhouse gas emissions — including expanding electric car manufacturing, creating “charging stations everywhere,” and broadening high-speed rail to “a scale where air travel stops becoming necessary” Now for the big question… How will this affect Black and Brown people? Well first off, Black and Brown people are deeply affected by greenhouse gases and things that pollute the air. According to a 2018 Environmental Protection Agency report , when studying areas most affected by particular air emissions, such as soot, people of color and especially Black people are affected the most. The report showed that “those in poverty had 1.35 times higher burden than did the overall population, and non-Whites had 1.28 times higher burden. Blacks, specifically, had 1.54 times higher burden than did the overall population.” This equates to a 54 percent increase for Black people, and it shows that class still doesn’t necessarily keep Black people from dangerous pollution. With many factories and polluting facilities close to Black communities, the health risks increase, including higher rates of asthma, heart attacks and lowered life expectancy rates. Transitioning to clean, renewable energy will help decrease these risks. Now granted, the Green New Deal doesn’t explicitly say it’s goal is to benefit Black and Brown communities, but it does say it’s goal is “to promote justice and equity by stopping current, preventing future, and repairing historic oppression of indigenous communities, communities of color, migrant communities, deindustrialized communities, depopulated rural communities, the poor, low-income workers, women, the elderly, the unhoused, people with disabilities, and youth…” A.K.A the front line and vulnerable communities, according to the resolution. The New Deal FAQ sheet listed out 15 requirements to adhere to these goals, which you can check out here . So again, should Black and Brown people care about the Green New Deal? Ultimately, yes. But it’ll take a lot more than an announcement and a lengthy fact sheet to get the masses hype. The impact of the Green New Deal will only be felt with further research, accountability and the actions of leaders to get more Black and Brown people invested.

Chris Brown Tells Offset to SUCK MY D-CK!

You guys, we’re starting to think Chris Brown may have an anger problem. No, really. We think this really could be the case. Just consider the way in which Brown absolutely WENT OFF on Offset this week… Fresh off an allegation of rape , the singer blasted Cardi B’s husband after Offset stood up for his troubled friend, 21 Savage. And we mean blasted . Allow us to explain what happened, okay? Last Sunday morning, 21 Savage was detained by ICE and threatened with deportation. Targeted as part of a raid, rapper really may be kicked out of the United States due to a visa issue and forced to return to the United Kingdom. It’s a pretty sensitive issue… that Brown made fun of by sharing footage in which someone with a British accent does a voiceover against the backdrop of an Offset music video.  “CMON FAM, STOP PLAYING WIT DA MANS DEM,” Brown wrote as a caption. Replied Offset, who released a collaborative album with 21 Savage in 2017, “Memes ain’t funny lame.” And that was enough to trigger Brown. Big time. YOU LIL BOY. BETTER WORRY ABOUT WHAT U GOT GOING AND FOCUS ON “YOU,” Brown wrote to Offset, adding in even more anger: All this call on IG IS WHAT’S LAME. YO ENERGY WONT LIKE THAT WHEN I CAME TO THE DRAKE SHOW IN LA… IF U DONT GET YO A HIOP A HOP A HIBBET A BIBBET TO THE HIP HIP HOP AND YA DONT STOP THE ROCKIN FACEASS… OUT TO MY COMMENTS. Brown wasn’t finished throwing his tempter tantrum, either. He concluded as follows: SENSITIVE ASS N-GGA. CALL ME PERSONALLY. U WANT SOME CLOUT WHEN ALL YOU GOTTA DO IS PULI UP. No camera no flexing and all at! IF YOU A REAL MAN FIGHT ME. Oh and another thing, SUCK MY DICK!!! Offset did eventually reply to Brown’s message on his Instagram Stories writing, “Coke head don’t want [smoke emoji].” He then deleted this message. Offset’s defense of 21 Savage comes after Cardi B, with whom he recently reconciled, called out conservative moron pundit Tomi Lahren on Twitter after she Tweeted about 21 Savage’s arrest. “I got one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight ICE agents ready to deport ya,” Lahren wrote in reference to the lyrics of 21 Savage’s song “Bank Account.” “Don’t make me get my leash,” Cardi  wrote back, referring to a previous viral Tweet where she told Lahren that she would “dog walk” her . Meanwhile in a statement released Tuesday, 21 Savage’s attorneys addressed the claims that the artist overstayed his visa, along with the fan speculation that he was targeted due to a recent anti-ICE rap. This statement reads as follows… Many have speculated as to possible ulterior motives for his arrest and detention, including that he released music five days prior to his arrest by ICE, which included new lyrics condemning the behavior of immigration officials for their detention of children at the border. Mr. Abraham-Joseph was born in the United Kingdom. Mr. Abraham-Joseph arrived legally in the United States at the age of 7. He remained in the United States until 2005, when he departed for approximately one month to visit the United Kingdom. He returned to the United States under a valid H-4 visa on July 22, 2005. Mr. Abraham-Joseph has been continuously physically present in the United States for almost 20 years, except for a brief visit abroad. Unfortunately, in 2006 Mr. Abraham-Joseph’s legal status expired through no fault of his own ICE provided incorrect information to the press when it claimed he had a criminal conviction.

Jenelle Evans: Did She REALLY Quit Teen Mom 2?!

At this point, just about every star in the Teen Mom franchise has threatened to quit the show over clashes with producers and/or fans. Thus far, none of the moms has actually made good on her threats. That’s not surprising, as it’s easier to talk about walking away from a cushy six-figure gig than it is to actually do it. These days, Jenelle Evans is threatening to quit , and she may be the first to actually cut ties with the show by choice. After all, no cast member has ever generated nearly as much controversy — or attracted as much negative attention — as Jenelle. In a new trailer for the upcoming season of Teen Mom 2 , Jenelle engages in a heated discussion with her mother, Barbara Evans. (Most of Jenelle’s conversations are with Barbara this season, as her husband, David Eason, was fired from the show, and she’s not on speaking terms with her most recent ex, Nathan Griffith.) “This will probably be my last season,” a tearful Jenelle tells her mom in the clip below. Teen Mom 2 Season 9 Preview “Stay the f–k away from me, because I’m done,” she adds, in case anyone doubted her sincerity. Jenelle certainly sounds like her mind is made up in that clip. And while we would be somewhat surprised to see her cut off her family’s sole source of income (David remains unemployed nearly a year after losing his TV gig.), Jenelle has been signaling that she’s fed up with the show for quite some time now. And with all the negative attention she’s been drawing to herself lately, stepping away from the spotlight is probably the best thing Jenelle could do. Well, divorcing David Eason and fleeing with her kids to safety is the best thing Jenelle could do, but lowering her public profile is the second best thing she could do. There have been so many David and Jenelle scandals in recent months that it’s difficult to decide which is the most horrendous. Obviously, David (allegedly) beating Jenelle and leaving her hospitalized is a strong contender. But Eason posting terrorist threats on Instagram and being investigated by the Secret Service is pretty f–ked up, as well. In a perfect world, the decision wouldn’t be Jenelle’s to make, and MTV would kick her to the curb so as not to continue financing a family of violent bigots. But since it doesn’t seem like that’s gonna happen, we’ll take Jenelle quitting as a consolation prize. View Slideshow: David Eason: Headed to Jail For Pulling Gun on Woman?! [UPDATED]

Meri Brown Cozies Up to Kody Brown Despite Crumbling Marriage

After that tense promo for Season 8 of Sister Wives , fans are questioning if Meri Brown will even stick around. In real time, however, she just celebrated her birthday. And Kody was right there to celebrate it with her. Take a look: Meri Brown shared this cheerful photo of her with her husband, Kody. In the captions of the Instagram picture, she provided the happy context. “So Kody and I went out for my birthday the other night,” Meri begins. “And,” she shares, the two of them “found this hidden gem in Flagstaff.” “I mean, maybe it was hidden,” she admits. Meri then presents an alternative: “maybe we’re just new to town lol!” As you may recall, the Sister Wives officially moved to Arizona in September of 2018. So, what was this possible hole-in-the-wall that Meri and Kody discovered? “#BlackBartsSteakhouse and Musical Revue was so fun,” Meri raves. “And,” she continues. “We got to experience the musical talents of students from #NAU.” Live music hit or miss, so we’re glad that they enjoyed it. “Definitely a win!!” Meri concluded. Meri also included some curious hashtags after her caption. “#LivingMyWhy,” Meri writes. “#BecauseICan.” “#LoveWhatIDo,” Meri added. “#LifeFulfilled.” It’s always nice to see people enjoying their lives — especially on their birthday. Some Sister Wives fans may find her post reassuring after that uncomfortable promo. During the Season 8 promo, Meri was crushed when Kody refused to give her a down payment for the bed and breakfast that she wants to open. She and Kody were in conflict after that, and Meri seemed — once again — like she wanted to make a change. “Part of me wants to just stand up and say, okay fine, I don’t need you guys,” Meri said. Some interpreted that as Meri saying that she had one foot out the door already. Others believed that she was simply resolving to open the bed and breakfast on her own. There was more, however, as Meri spoke to her sister-wife, Christine Brown. “You don’t feel comfortable around me,” Meri accused. Christine was then shown speaking into the confessional. “The sister wives relationship is super tricky,” Christine admitted. Christine explained that this is “because you’re trying to be best friends with the woman who has a relationship with your husband.” That makes sense. Some polyamorous relationships feature everyone involved in a relationship with everyone else. That is not the case for Mormon polygamy. They are each married to Kody and Kody to them. Jealousy and favoritism have been major thematic issues for the Sister Wives . Part of that tension remains rooted in Meri’s six-month online relationship — one that turned out to be the result of Catfishing. “I didn’t know how to get out of the situation without putting myself, family, and friends at greater risk,” Meri admitted. “It was a very difficult time,” she confessed. “I had a lot of anxiety.” “My family was very concerned for our safety,” she continued. “And angry that we had been targeted.” Some fans have been rooting for Meri to get away from Kody, whom many consider to be a creep. Sister Wives is an entertaining show, but it might not be the picture-perfect example of a healthy multiple marriage that Kody wishes it were.
