We can all breathe a sigh of relief now, reality TV viewers. Sister Wives will be returning early next year to TLC. There had been some doubts about whether the series would air another season, considering some of the internal strife that continues to exist between Kody and his wives. But the cable network just dropped a trailer for Season 8 and confirmed that it will premiere on Sunday, January 20 at 8/7c. As for what viewers can expect from upcoming installments? It looks like Meri Brown will keep struggling with her place in this unusual family, as has been the case for nearly as long as we can remember. Earlier this fall, we documented the various ways in which Meri has fallen out of favor in her unique marriage. Early on in this preview, we see Meri ask Kody for money for a down payment on a bed and breakfast she wants to open… only to be rebuffed for her efforts. This leads to an awkward sit-down with another Sister Wife. The family also moves back to Utah from Las Vegas, which makes Kody very happy — yet doesn't sit well with Janelle and a few others. Do you think Kody cares about their feelings at all, though? Come on. Of course not. “Eventually, I'm going to lead to places they might not want to go,” he says in a confessional. “But I am going to lead.” At one point, Gabriel actually steps up and says he's “fuming inside” over the move, labeling it as “awful” because he's in the middle of his junior year in high school. Changes are clearly ahead for this group, and it's unclear whether they will end up in a better place when all is said, argued about and done. “I just feel like they’re running away from something, and I don’t know what they’re running away from,” daughter Aspyn admits in the sneak peek The trailer concludes with a shot of the Brown family standing in a circle in an empty room, saying a prayer. While they appear to be united, there are clearly a few tear-stained cheeks in the group, implying that Kody''s leadership could be taking everyone someplace that could fracture the clan in the long run. GULP . Check out this teaser to see what we mean.
Ladies, we know engagement rings are a big deal. Marriage proposals happen almost every day and we know for sure that if our nails aren’t done then more than likely we’re going to feel a type of way. But, what if you man decided to propose not with just one ring but SIX rings and asked you to pick which one you wanted? Model Dennis Brown II proposed to his girlfriend Atara Dallas on November 28 and did it in a way that may not ever be topped. He got down on one knee and proposed but opened a heart shaped box with six diamond engagement rings inside. He wrote on Instagram, “I didn’t win #6 rings like Michael Jordan but I won at life with her so she deserves #6 rings to choose from.” Of course Brown did some HEAVY organization in order to pull off his proposal from a photographer, videographer, props designer, florist, makeup artist, hairdresser, drapery expert, assistants, stylists, and more. To go along with the extravagant wedding rings, there was a giant message written and posted on the wall behind them. “Today, on your special day I had the pleasure of putting a smile on your face all day. For there is no greater gift that I could think to give you. “A woman, whose heart is full of love and devotion to me, a woman whose loyalty to all those she loves stands unmatched, a woman whose generosity and willingness to help others around her flourish knows no depths.” Too sweet! But ladies, for real though — you picking through six engagement rings? Last week, we reported that Alaskan Bush People star Ami Brown is grieving the sudden loss of her estranged mother . Unfortunately, Ami’s estrangement from her extended family did not end with her late mother’s passing. Apparently she — like the rest of the Browns — was a no-show for own mother’s funeral. The memorial service for Earlene Branson took place over the weekend. RadarOnline reports that Ami Brown did not show for her mother’s funeral, and neither did anyone else from her side of the family. Ami’s brother, Les, informed the tabloid of all of the details. “The service for my mother was very low-key but beautiful,” Les shared. He is still grieving the loss of his mother. “The Browns,” Les reveals. “Did not show up.” Ami has been estranged from her mother and brother for a long time, despite some plans to reconnect — plans that never came together. Even so, memorials are often where even bitter relatives come together. Les shares that this was not the case when his mother was laid to rest. He says that he saw no sign that Ami even cared. “There was no card,” Les reports. “Nor,” Less says, was there “any sympathy shown whatsoever.” It is generally traditional to purchase a bouquet of flowers if you have the cash but cannot attend the memorial. Sometimes, even corporations will buy a floral arrangement for a former employee’s wake. Despite years without any real contact, Ami’s brother still wants to try to reconnect — even though it is too late for their late mother. “I would love to see her,” Les admits. Les wants to see her in person “and tell her that I love her,” he shares. “And,” Les concludes, he wants to tell her “that I have missed her.” We don’t know that she’ll read what he had to say, but we hope that she knows. We would of course never judge anyone for cutting off contact, in the past or present, with a toxic adult relative. Families are incredibly complicated, and some people’s gripes with parents are extremely justified. We don’t know everything behind Ami’s estrangement from her folks. However, one source of conflict between Ami and her mother (and brother) is known: Billy Brown. When Ami was 15, she ran away with Billy — who was, at the time, about 26. Yikes. Not only has this been a sore point for her family, but to this day, Les holds Billy accountable for the continued estrangement. Of course, as saddened as Ami must be by her mother’s death, the Browns have something more positive on their minds. Noah Brown will soon welcome an Alaskan Bush Baby — that is, a baby. He and his wife, Rhain Alisha, whom he married just a few months ago, are expecting their first child. Ami is of course excited about being a grandmother to what’s sure to be a precious baby. We only wish that Earlene Branson had lived to learn of the news. Would it have been nice if Ami and her family had shown up for the memorial? Maybe. Or maybe it would have been more awkward than skipping it. There’s a lot of lost time, and tensions can run high when tragedy strikes. They may have feared that, in the eyes of some, they would not have been welcome because they waited too late. We hope that one day, at least, Ami’s children can connect with their cousins. Back in August, Alaskan Bush People star Noah Brown married Rhain Alisha in a beautiful, low-key ceremony. Now it’s another member of the Brown family’s turn. This time, it’s Gabe Brown — who filed for a marriage license before anyone heard a word about an engagement! RadarOnline reports that Gabe Brown is either married already — or about to be. A clerk at the Marriage License Office in Okanogan, Washington says that Gabe and his girlfriend got their marriage papers last month. “Gabriel Brown and Raquell Pantilla filed for a marriage license in person on October 8,” the clerk confirms. Raquell is not unfamiliar to fans who follow the Brown family on social media. In fact, it was Gabe’s youngest sister Rain who revealed Gabe’s relationship with Raquell “Rose” Pantilla. Rain has joked about beinga third wheel, but she and Raquell have described each other as the best of friends. A source close to the Brown family didn’t quite confirm Gabe’s marriage, but didn’t exactly deny it, either. “They have been spending a lot of time together,” the family source acknowledged. The insider affirmed that “really likes her.” We’ve all been able to tell that much just from watching them on social media. Just look at this photo that Gabe shared of his and Raquell’s hands forming a heart together. Now, as we were all so recently reminded with Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin, a marriage license can be a little ambiguous. We looked it up, and Washington state law says that a marriage license has a three-day waiting period. (That, folks, is to prevent people who are blitzed out of their minds from having impulsive weddings with someone they just met) After those three days are over, the couple has 60 days in which to have their wedding. After that, if they have not held a wedding, the marriage license becomes invalid. If our understanding that this gives Gabe and Raquell a total of 63 days in which to tie the knot is correct, they must hold their wedding by December 10. Just because Gabe and Raquell need to hold a wedding between October 11 and December 10 doesn’t mean that it has to be large. Noah’s wedding, after all, was a pretty small event. It is entirely possible that Gabe and Raquell have already had a wedding somewhere on the Brown family’s private, spacious homestead. If your dad buys 435 acres of land , we sure hope that there’s enough room for you to get married on it. If so, we hope that they’ll make an announcement about it soon. But they still have an entire month — and some change — to hold that wedding. Maybe it hasn’t happened yet. Gabe Brown has not always been so lucky in love. In late November of last year, Rain warned her fans and followers that an imposter was pretending to be Gabe Brown . This imposter was catfishing fans, some of whom developed real feelings for the fake Gabe. Months later, when fans learned of Gabe’s relationship with Raquel, some accused Gabe of seducing them — having ignored Rain’s warning. These fans may have seen Rain’s warning but refused to believe that they were being catfished. We’re glad that Gabe and Raquell were able to get past that. Still, Gabe and Raquell have only been dating for … possibly less than a year. Though Raquell has been getting along well with the Brown family — especially with Rain — some wonder if they’re rushing things. It’s always a little surprising when a couple goes from “dating” to “married” (or close enough) without any real engagement in between. But sometimes, couples just know. Congratulations to Gabe and Raquell! View Slideshow: Alaskan Bush People: 13 Secrets They Don’t Want You to Know
Source: Las Vegas Police Department / Las Vegas Police Department Orlando Brown might soon be hopping off the struggle train . Friends of the former Disney actor staged an intervention prompting Brown to enter a rehab facility. TMZ reports : We’re told, Orlando’s friend Danny Boy — the owner of a Vegas restaurant that the “That’s So Raven” star broke into last month — contacted Wendy Wheaton and Tommy Red, Hollywood producers with contacts in the rehab world. The plan was to get Orlando some help back in August, but he threw a wrench in that plan when he got arrested in early September after breaking into Danny’s joint. Orlando got out but went MIA for a few weeks. Fast forward to last Sunday … when Orlando made his way to a San Fernando Valley hotel where cops were called after he went off the rails. He was so bad off, his friends had to wait a few days for the intervention. Orlando’s now in a treatment facility for mental health and substance abuse issues. Best of luck to Orlando Brown. — Photo: Las Vegas Police Department
As you’re no doubt aware, celebrities play the game of life by a different set of rules than the rest of us. Behavior that wouldn’t fly for a hot second in the world of plebes is not only condoned but celebrated when it’s perpetrated by an actor with a role in a corporate film franchise or one of the few recording artists that can still sell out a stadium. But if the #MeToo movement has taught us anything, it’s that even for the rich and powerful, there comes a time when society draws a line in the sand. Which is why the whole world is looking at Drake right now with a collective “bruh, WTF are you doing?” expression. As you may have heard, the rapper maintains a close friendship with Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown. Brown opened up about her close relationship with the 31-year-old rapper at the 2018 Emmys last week, and we imagine every single viewers’ face simultaneously contorted into a perfect replica of the “yikes” emoji. Millie Bobby Brown on Drake To be clear, Millie is in no way at fault here. We imagine most 14-year-olds would leap at the chance to befriend one of their favorite recording artists. It’s Drake — and to a slightly lesser extent, Millie’s parents — who are deserving of the hard side-eye here. In order to understand how creepy this is, you need only to strip Drizzy of his celebrity status and re-examine the situation as though he were just Some Dude. If you knew nothing about Drake other than the fact that he’s a 31-year-old man who’s in the habit of routinely texting a 14-year-old girl and telling her how much he misses her, whatever shred of sympathy you might have had for the rap world’s answer to Humbert Humbert would likely go right out the window. Like most celebrities, he gets a pass on certain actions that would get him rightly shunned from civilian society. Fortunately, in 2018, powerful men no longer get away with every kind of questionable behavior. We’re not saying Drake is as bad as the worst of the #MeToo offenders, but his image as the non-threatening nice guy of the hip hop world has taken quite a few hits in recent months. As you may recall, the summer of 2018 began with the revelation that Drake has a secret son , with whom he’s barely had any contact. Drake attempted a lame explanation as to why he’s been hiding his son from the world (he was actually hiding the world from his son , the rapper explained, in full earnest-Drizzy mode), but for the most part, the public wasn’t buying his victim routine. Shortly thereafter, we learned that Drake was dating an 18-year-old fan and aspiring model. Again, not illegal — but not the sort of thing that inspires much faith in the man’s character. Now, we have Drake’s relationship with Millie. Again, it’s possible that the rapper entered this situation with the best of intentions, but to say he’s handling it poorly at this point would be to massively understate the awkwardness of how this is all playing out. On social media, Brown has attempted to diffuse the situation (see above), while Drake has kept mum, thus leaving her to twist in the wind. We can only hope dude is quietly extricating himself from the situation and gently explaining to Millie his reasons for doing so. You’ve had a very rough year, Drizzy — time to start earning some redemption.
Alaskan Bush People has been destroying Keeping Up With The Kardashians ' ratings , and it looks like this new episode will be no different. In this sneak peek, Gabe Brown takes huge risks as the Browns build a new structure on their property, scaring his siblings half to death. Noah also comes to visit in the new episode, revealing a serious health problem that required surgery. In the video that we've included, viewers can see Gabe standing on a piece of construction equipment and wielding a chainsaw. “The next step is now Gabe just needs to cut off the top of the poles,” Bird Brown explains. “He’s just going to stand in the bucket of the skid-steer,” Bird describes. She reveals who will be operating this dangerous equipment, adding: “and Rain’s going to raise him up.” It's always reassuring to see a 15-year-old operating heavy machinery. “I’m not normally serious,” Bird acknowledges. “But right now it is super serious,” “It is actually pretty dangerous,” Bird admits. “It’s actually the most dangerous things we’ve done on the job.” Bam Bam Brown adds: “That does not look incredibly safe.” His opinion is pretty clear. As you can see in the clip, he's standing a considerable distance away from the action. In addition to Gabe risking life and limb (and his baby sister's mental health for the next half-century) to shorten some stilts, this weekend's episode promises another development. In August, Noah Brown married Rhain Alisha in a small, moving wedding ceremony. On this weekend's episode, Noah “returns to the pack,” as they say, visiting the new family homestead in rural Washington to see his parents. His presence is reassuring to his father, Billy Brown, who is happy to see him. His arrival is also a tremendous comfort to Ami, who states that she feels more secure with all of her children around her. Noah also makes a startling confession about his health. During his time away from his family, his body began to become inexplicably bloated. As it turns out, as is usually the case with a sudden change in body size, there is a medical explanation. In Noah's case, it was his gall bladder. He had to have his abnormally large gall bladder removed, and his torso still bears the stretch mark from the sudden gain in weight that his endocrine system foisted upon him. We're sure that some parts of this coming episode of Alaskan Bush People is just theatrics for the camera. That goes with the territory on any reality show. We have no doubts that Noah's family knew about his gall bladder being removed before he told them on camera and showed off his scar. And we also know for a fact that Billy Brown's new 435 property could gain a new structure without the children risking it all to build it. But they're doing this personally, on camera, so that they can keep raking in that reality TV money. And since Alaskan Bush People is creaming Keeping Up With The Kardashians , this hard work and drama is a sound investment in their family's future.
Source: LuxxBall 2016 Birthday Celebration for the Legendary Damon held at Stage 48 Featuring: Foxy Brown Where: New York, New York, United States When: 31 Mar 2016 Credit: Derrick Salters/WENN.com Foxy Brown is having a bad week, and her PR rep has spotted the jig. After allegedly swindling a promoter out his dough for a non-performance at a New York Fashion Week party, Lizzie Grubman has a resigned from her post as the rapper’s representative. Yes, we were shocked Lizzie Grubman was repping Fox Boogie, too. As for the party in question, where she was supposed to perform with Diddy’s son Christian, it sounds like Foxy was a mess. Reports Page Six : Brown allegedly “arrived to the party at nearly 2 a.m. f - - ked up. She was slurring and she refused to perform,” an insider told Page Six. VIPs including Tiffany Haddish, Winnie Harlow, Kelly Rowland, La La Anthony and Christian Combs were at the Blond for Smith’s after-party. We’re told Brown was going to perform with Combs and was in “great spirits,” hanging out backstage with “Page Six TV” co-host Bevy Smith. “[Brown] was very excited about the fact that she had the new single out with Nicki [Minaj]. She was in a good mood,” Bevy reported on “Page Six TV.” But spies further told us Brown was later requesting vodka and “falling all over people.” But wait, that’s just a tease of the struggle. Then again, the wobbling could have been due to a wardrobe malfunction. “She had a wardrobe mishap . . . [a designer] sent her two shoes for the same foot. She was in 6-[inch] heel boots that would lace up to the knee . . . so she was kind of hobbling around, but we were talking and laughing,” said Bevy, who did not attend the party after the show. We hear that at the bash, Brown refused to perform, and promoters are now threatening to sue unless she gives back the money. So Foxy Brown was wearing two left or two right shoes at the same damn time? Bruh. Grubman confirmed that she quit but didn’t offer any additional comment. The struggle is real. — Photo: WENN.com
On Wednesday, August 15, Alaskan Bush People star Noah Brown married Rhain in a heartwarming wedding ceremony. Some “fans” of the show and the family have never liked Rhain, and rumors began to surface that Rhain wasn’t allowed to take Noah’s last name. Noah has come forward to clear things up, once and for all. Noah Brown spoke to RadarOnline to lay this rumor to rest. “Rhain is my wife,” Noah affirmed. Not that there was any doubt — but, especially for newlyweds, that statement can feel powerful. “And,” Noah continued. “She is my wife for life.” Noah then makes it clear: “and of course she will be taking my last name.” Noah cannot help but gush about his new life. “It feels wonderful to be married,” Noah shares. He mentions that his wedding date was a long time coming. “Rhain and I were engaged for over a year,” he reminds fans, before repeating: “And we are finally married.” He really loves saying it. That is so cute. He says that the feeling of being married has really improved his life. “It is like this huge weight has been lifted,” Noah says. They’re no longer engaged and deciding when and where to get married or trying to work out any of those details. Noah concludes: “We can finally focus on being husband and wife.” Good for them! Obviously, not ever woman who marries a man then goes and changes her last name to match his. Some hyphenate. Some simply leave their names as they are. It depends on many factors, but ultimately comes down to personal preference. Changing a name can be a troublesome and time-consuming and expensive process. It was probably a lot simpler a century ago when few women were gainfully employed or owned property. Sometimes, it can take a new bride some time to change her name — remember, you have to change things like deeds and bank accounts in the process. Just because someone hasn’t raced to do so instead of going on her honeymoon doesn’t mean that she’s never changing her name. We shouldn’t jump to conclusions. Noah has been something of a black sheep in his family, which is probably why he gets more grief from fans and viewers than Bam Bam does. Both sons fell in love and moved on with their lives, but Noah was always a little weird (yes, even weirder than his siblings). The kid who’s a little goth isn’t going to thrive out in the wilderness, folks. He’s a grown man and he’s allowed to live his wife. Some fans turned their ire on Rhain, even accusing her of “copying” Noah’s sister Rain’s name, because Rhain’s birth name is Ruth. Folks, people can change their names any time that they like. We’re not sure why people think that Rhain would want to copy her now-husband’s sister’s name. Noah dragged Rain on Instagram just a couple of months ago. Also, Rain Brown’s full name is Merry Christmas Kathryn Raindrop Brown . How would you even begin to “copy” that? We’re so glad that Noah and Rhain found each other and we hope that they continue to enjoy their wedded bliss. Fans (and so-called “fans”) will continue to say whatever they like about Noah and Rhain, but the further removed from reality television that Noah is, the less that these haters can touch them.
