#MuteRKelly: Spotify Marks All R. Kelly Music As Spam, Removes Problematic Tunes From Playlists

Image via Vallery Jean/FilmMagic/Getty Spotify Removes All R. Kelly Songs From Their Playlists The public expulsion of R. Kelly is another day closer to coming to fruition. According to Billboard , Spotify has removed all of Robert’s tunes from their playlists that were created either via algorithm or editorially. The company is enforcing a new public hate content and hateful conduct policy: “We are removing R. Kelly’s music from all Spotify owned and operated playlists and algorithmic recommendations such as Discover Weekly,” Spotify told Billboard in a statement. “His music will still be available on the service, but Spotify will not actively promote it. We don’t censor content because of an artist’s or creator’s behavior, but we want our editorial decisions — what we choose to program — to reflect our values. When an artist or creator does something that is especially harmful or hateful, it may affect the ways we work with or support that artist or creator.” Vice President/Head of Content, Jonathan Price, had this to say more specifically about streeping eweh di powah of R. Kelly’s streams: “When we look at promotion, we look at issues around hateful conduct, where you have an artist or another creator who has done something off-platform that is so particularly out of line with our values, egregious, in a way that it becomes something that we don’t want to associate ourselves with,” Jonathan Prince, Spotify’s vp/head of content and marketplace policy, tells Billboard. “So we’ve decided that in some circumstances, we may choose to not work with that artist or their content in the same way — to not program it, to not playlist it, to not do artist marketing campaigns with that artist.” What exactly is the crux of this new public safety policy? Well… “Hate content is content that expressly and principally promotes, advocates, or incites hatred or violence against a group or individual based on characteristics, including, race, religion, gender identity, sex, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, veteran status, or disability,” the policy reads. “When we are alerted to content that violates our policy, we may remove it (in consultation with rights holders) or refrain from promoting or manually programming it on our service.” We can only assume that they are viewing Kelly’s sexually-charged music through the “art-imitates-life” lens to qualify him for removal. Despite how embarrassingly long it’s taken, it looks like we are finally witnessing the end of R. Kelly’s music career.

Iggy Azalea Does GQ of the Day

Publishing must really be dead… Why the fuck would any magazine want to feature this bitch…and really not just feature them, but also do a whole shoot with her like she fucking matters…it’s crazy to me. A fake rapper from Australia, with some nonsense backstory that doesn’t involve “I fucked some DJs in the club and ended up moving to America where we faked the paperwork for my work visa and pretended I had a record deal, even though no one can name one of my songs”… She’s a fucking lie…and not just because she has a fake ass that she passes off as her own, but because she’s a fucking lie…the kind of person who has a fake ass she passes off as her own is the kind of person who would lie about her backstory… The crazy thing in all this is that she’s not even HOT in her hustle… Like at least be hot in your bullshit…instead she just bullshit… Not to mention, GQ was supposed to be a men’s magazine, and sure men are all a bunch of pussy bitches now, but that doesn’t mean the shoots of girls who sexualize themselves and try to become sex dolls in real life should fixate on their gross moles..it means that they should at least focus on her whore ass and make it whorey.. What the hell is this nonsense…she’s not even on all fours showing us the move she used to get to where she is… Bullshit.

SMH: Lorde Was Almost Destroyed For Something She Said About Whitney Houston

Source: ullstein bild / Getty New Zealand singer Lorde was about to be dragged to Jersey and back for an Instagram post in reference to Whitney Houston.    Here’s what happened: So apparently, this week, Lorde had a day off and she decided to celebrate it with a nice bath. Nice, right?   Only problem is, when she took a picture of her water-filled bath, she captioned it “And iii will always love you.”   Evidence…   As you might know, Whitney’s untimely death was caused by drowning in a bath tub . So yea. After the now deleted pic was posted, folks swarmed in on Lorde, calling her caption insensitive and straight up tone death. Of all the songs by all the singers in the world, Lorde had to caption a picture of her bathtub with Whitney Houston lyrics. pic.twitter.com/u0uN3jgQms — shane telford. (@MrShaneReaction) April 6, 2018 Y'all. Lorde just made a Whitney Houston bathtub joke. I would say cancel her, but canceled folks just end up being more successful in the long run. — tyrese sanders (@tysandsnyc) April 6, 2018 This is disgusting idk how people find it funny. Whitney was a legend. she was amazing. she was a queen. she was a strong black woman. I like lorde but this is truly disgusting pic.twitter.com/B5cR3tolaU — black female (@privsari) April 6, 2018 twitter to lorde after coming for whitney houston pic.twitter.com/QudA2vVnFs — 1942bs (@REGGllE) April 6, 2018 Lorde eventually apologized for her choice of words… Nah Lorde really didn’t realize what she was doing when she posted that Whitney lyric… she stepped into the Shade Room to clarify though and I am SCREAMING! pic.twitter.com/mdfGqF5PPj — Blue Ivy's Au Pair (@MikeyTBH) April 6, 2018 Lorde's apology. pic.twitter.com/mSZmQwwTYt — Lerato N. (@uLelato) April 6, 2018 …and some folks defended her, saying there’s no way she meant any jokes by her post. To all the people saying Lorde is cancelled bc of insta pic of the bath and the Whitney lyrics caption… people do stuff like that ALL THE TIME it was obvs just a very bad coincidence and i genuinely don’t think Lorde would do that purposefully… — Elliott (@ouhoooh) April 6, 2018 Do you REALLY REALLY GENUINELY THINK that Lorde intentionally mocked Whitney's death REALLY — sleepy (@Ornithohalloran) April 6, 2018 Smh. Messy. But it seems there’s folks with forgiveness in their heart. What do you think of the whole debacle? Are you giving Lorde a pass or should she have known better? Let us know on Twitter or Facebook!

Tyler Baltierra: Did He Just Admit to Cheating on Catelynn Lowell?!

For quite a long time now, there have been rumors that Tyler Baltierra has been cheating on Catelynn Lowell. Like, it’s getting to the point where there are so many rumors you sort of have to wonder if there’s at least a little bit of truth to them. It’s pretty sad, because as we’ve been seeing in this season of Teen Mom OG, Tyler has been nothing but supportive and kind and loving towards Catelynn. And as fans of the show will remember, there’s only been one confirmed case of cheating for this couple, and Tyler wasn’t the one who stepped out. (To be fair though, Catelynn cheated on Tyler when they were like 13 years old, but still, facts are facts.) The whole “Tyler is a cheater” thing started a little over a year ago when a Teen Mom blind item was revealed to be about the Baltierras . “The MTV cameras have turned a blind eye to the cheating by this significant other of an OG Teen Mom because it doesn’t fit in the storyline,” the story went. The thing is, blind items are fun and all, but you can’t really treat them like irrefutable facts. And even if one does turn out to be true, there’s a good chance you’ll never hear about it again. For example, last year there was a blind item about a Teen Mom couple doing hard drugs in a hotel room in L.A. and trashing the place, but did we ever see that on the show?  But still, many people did believe that Tyler cheated on Catelynn — probably because with the state their marriage was in at the time, it wasn’t that hard to imagine it. Back then, Cate was unable to do much of anything at all because of her depression, and it was really weighing on Tyler. And it’s interesting, because the same thing has been happening for the past few months, and the same rumors are starting to pop up. In November, Catelynn checked herself into a treatment center to deal with her depression and some suicidal thoughts, and then in January, another blind item came out . “This Teen Mom star has been cheating on his significant other for almost a year,” the item read. “Eventually, when she starts having a clear head she is going to catch on and that could finally push her over the edge to suicide.” So that’s really very dark and also pretty gross, right? Even if it was a confirmed story that he’d been cheating on her, it’s beyond disgusting to suggest that she could kill herself because of it and it would be his fault. And while both Catelynn and Tyler joked about the rumors the first time around, Tyler didn’t take so kindly to all that new speculation. He called out the site that published the blind item, repeatedly denying that he’d cheated on his wife and repeatedly asking for evidence — of course, none was provided. Still, the rumors persisted, and that’s where we’re at now. Yesterday afternoon, someone tweeted that he wondered “how many times” Tyler had cheated on Catelynn. And he actually answered, “More times than I could count,” he wrote, along with that laughing and crying emoji. Obviously he’s being sarcastic, but … come on. It just doesn’t seem like the greatest time to be addressing dumb rumors from strangers on the internet, you know? Especially not like this. Catelynn has barely been home from rehab for a month , and it just seems like they could both find better ways to spend their time than this. Just … take it easy, OK, guys? The Weeknd Drops New, Sad Music: Is It About Selena Gomez?

28-year-old singer The Weeknd dropped dropped a sing-song EP titled My Dear Melancholy . The Grammy winner's fans immediately dove in and gave the songs a listen. Some of the lyrics, however, have caught people's attention. The song “Call Out My Name” includes the lyrics: “We found each other/ I helped you out of a broken place/ You gave me comfort/ But falling for you was my mistake.” And in “Privilege,” he sings: “Enjoy your privileged life/ 'Cause I'm not gonna hold you through the night/ We said our last goodbyes/ So let's just try to end it with a smile.” Fans can't help but wonder how much of this new EP is about Selena Gomez and their breakup. And, for that matter, how much of it is about Bella Hadid. Take a look at the fan responses, because these are wild. 1. The Weeknd was pretty chill about when he’d release the EP EP, by the way, stands for “extended player,” meaning that it’s longer than a single but shorter than an album. 2. Here’s the album art My Dear Melancholy’s art is haunting, but so is the title. 3. The Weeknd even shared with fans that he was working on it The release date, however, was very last minute 4. Listeners immediately thought of Selena Gomez We should note that reports claimed that The Weeknd had seemingly lost interest in her towards the end of their relationship. Perhaps those reports were mistaken … or perhaps The Weeknd is feeling regrets. 5. Seriously, they’re happy with Selena They say that a lot of the best art comes from pain and suffering. 6. Fans could really feel The Weeknd’s pain By the way, his real name is Abel Tesfaye. His older fans knew him by that name, first. View Slideshow

JoJo Instagram Titties of the Day

We may not know who JoJo is…but I do remember when she was clickbait or was it jailbait many years ago…even though I don’t remember her from then, I don’t remember her songs, I don’t remember anything about her…but I know she has since been on a comeback tour, not accepting being a one hit wonder, sexualizing herself, or doing whatever it is she’s doing… But I do appreciate when I see the nerds of the internet uniting to fuck with photoshop pictures to make the clothing invisible like it’s their super power….and that alone is hilarious to me.. So whether these are JOJO nipples or not, it’s nice to see crowdsourcing done for good….because nipples and see through shirts…are good. Here is the photo altered by the internet nerds to show her nipples..weird.. The post JoJo Instagram Titties of the Day appeared first on DrunkenStepFather.com .

Safaree Claims Nicki Minaj Was Abusive, Says He Wasn’t Allowed To Leave The House

Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty Safaree has been making headlines as of late with his impressive man package and new music. But an interview with DJ Envy and his wife Gia Casey on their podcast, The Casey Crew , has the Hunnid rapper making headlines over his ex Nicki Minaj again. According to Safaree, the popular rapper was abusive. DJ Envy claimed there were times when Safaree couldn’t leave the house. “I don’t wanna say you were battered but you were an abused boyfriend…sometimes Safaree couldn’t leave the crib,” he described. “I swear on everything!” Safaree agreed and admitted the fights between he and Nicki were getting so intense he feared he’d eventually go to jail. “Nah, Nah that’s true but it’s because she was sheltered, she’s in her cocoon and I’m there with her. I didn’t really have a life outside of that. I was really comfortable but then the fights and stuff it was getting too crazy. I was like, you know what? I don’t wanna go to jail, I don’t wanna go to the hospital.” When Gia inquired what would cause such vicious arguments, he recalled an instance when he refused to fetch Nicki’s bag, which lead to a moment of reckoning. “I usually never ever ever say stuff,” he said. “But I’m going to say this one time. It was one time, it was something…I left and came back…she wanted me to get a bag for her…’yo, go upstairs and grab my bag for me,’ but it’s just, the way it was said, I’m not going to get it. You can’t just keep talking to me like that. I’m not gonna go get it,” he said. The affects of abuse lingered after their relationship was over, Safaree said. “I’m not going to be having hands put on me and the verbal, it’s like, yo, it takes a while to get over that, like people see me, I wasn’t like, it took me a while to have my confidence…that’s why I was going to the gym so hard because I’m like, yo, I feel like sh-t, I gotta do something to feel good about myself. Let me get a six-pack,” he said. Nicki vaguely references her relationship and certain situations in her songs. We’re still dying to hear her perspective on it all. Listen to the full podcast, here. Rita Ora Works Makes Us Feel Ourselves

I still can’t figure out whether Rita Ora is technically famous (or just a wannabe), or what she even does for a living. I’m pretty sure she’s a pop star, but I couldn’t tell you a single one of her songs. Luckily though, Rita’s also super hot and that makes her a potential social media star. Anyway, according to her latest videos, Rita is feeling herself right now. Me too, Rita. Me too.

Go Back To Bed: Singer From Yesteryear J. Holiday Says He’s Sick Of Successful Black Female Artists Getting Grammy Nominations

J. Holiday Lashes Out At Beyonce, SZA, And Cardi B. For Getting Grammy Noms Remember J. Holiday? We’re guessing probably not. So if you need a reminder, once upon a time he had a song called “Bed” that was actually a song by The-Dream and was really popular on urban radio for a few months back in 2007. Anyway, he just randomly resurfaced a few days ago with a few gripes about Black women using their “pain” in their songs to turn it into musical success and leaving Black men in the dust of disrespect by calling them out on their BS…or something. It wasn’t quite that clear what point he was trying to convey besides his own saltiness as an R&B one-hit-has-been. In his rant, he basically blames Beyonce , SZA, and Cardi B for being so good at what they do that they leave no room for Black men to come get the shine they deserve. We guess. “So apparently the Black men still losing to the women—I get it. No disrespect, I was raised by a woman, I have two older sisters, man, I have absolute, all respect for Black women. But with that being said, understand this, man: Black men, African-American men, men from the hood, we go through everything to make sure that who we care about are taken care of. [We] don’t swing d**ks around…don’t do all this bullsh*t to be seen. I got daughters, man. Beyoncé, Cardi B, SZA—all y’all motherf**kers—stop using that f*cking pain to make it OK to say some bullsh*t on your record, and get nominated for a Grammy for going through some bullsh*t. Because so have I as a Black motherf**king man.” O…K… Perhaps if J. Holiday channeled some of his OWN pain into some music he might have a career in the modern age ? Furthermore…he seemed to have missed the part where Jay-Z was nominated 8 times and Kendrick Lamar nominated another 7 for doing exactly that this year. Plus, singers like Mali Music, Khalid, Childish Gambino (singing on his latest), The Weeknd and Burno Mars all snagged noms. So what he’s talking about…we aren’t too sure. What do YOU think of J. Holiday’s rant against female artists getting nominations? Getty Continue reading
