Chris Brown: In Rehab For Anger Management!

Chris Brown has checked into a rehab facility to seek treatment for anger management issues in the wake of his arrest last weekend, according to reports. Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, dropped him off at an L.A. treatment center, presumably to deal with his rage issues – and stave off a prison sentence. Perhaps Breezy heeded Mike Tyson’s advice ? “Chris Brown has elected to enter a rehab facility,” said a statement Tuesday night from his rep. There is no indication of substance abuse issues. Only rage. “His goal is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and career from a healthier vantage point.” The L.A. County Probation Department is proceeding with an investigation to determine if Brown violated his probation in the 2009 Rihanna case. By getting arrested for assault for allegedly punching some guy in the nose, Chris could have his probation, and freedom, revoked. Conviction or not. Due to the victim’s injuries being less than severe and conflicting witness accounts, the felony charge against him has already been reduced to a misdemeanor. It’s the probation that’s the real problem for Chris, though, not this case. The embattled 24-year-old star flew to L.A. after getting released from the D.C. jail and met with L.A. County Probation Department officials today. Following his conviction for assault for his attack on Rihanna , he was given five years’ probation, which requires him to do community labor and obey all laws. Not done and not done. At best, the R&B singer is on thin ice at this point. It’s likely the Probation Department will conclude Brown violated his probation , and a judge could sentence him to as much as four years in prison. However, a judge could also withhold a decision until after the D.C. case plays out. In which case, the rehab move could show good faith and contrition. Well, at least until the next time he beats the crap out of somebody. Talk to us, THGers: Should Chris Brown go to jail?   Yes. Enough is enough, and he’ll never learn otherwise. No, let’s see how this case plays out in court. No! Step off haters! #TEAMBREEZY View Poll »

Mike Tyson to Chris Brown: Chill the Eff Out!

Maybe it’s just us, but when Mike Tyson of all people is taking note of your violent tendencies and voicing concern, it may be time to rethink your life. Such is the case for Chris Brown, who the former boxing champ believes is too violent and headed down a dangerous path where he will pay the price. Mike Tyson Offers Advice to Chris Brown Tyson was a guest on the 95.5 PLJ Morning Show this morning when he was asked about Chris Brown, who was arrested for assault in D.C. Iron Mike, who’s battled anger issues in the past himself, weighed in on Chris. “I like and admire that little guy,” Tyson said. “I’m just worried about him.” Who admires Chris Brown? Great use of the word “little.” Mike did prison time for rape. Regarding that last point, Tyson says he knows from experience that if Chris doesn’t learn to control his rage, fans will turn on him. As will the law. “They’re gonna put him somewhere where that’s all they do is assault people,” Mike added , hinting at the Big House, and adding, “Chris should know this.” “If you’re not humble, this world will thrust humbleness upon you.” Not the kind of thrusting he did as an eight year old, either. You follow? In truth, Mike’s words are ones to live by … four or five years too late, perhaps. Chris, despite the felony assault charge being lowered to a misdemeanor , may pay a hefty price just the same – for beating Rihanna back in 2009. He could have his probation revoked regardless of whether he’s convicted, as he is required to obey all laws and clearly doesn’t care too much about that. Guilty of assault or not, the guy has some problems. Talk to THG: Should Chris Brown go to jail?   Yes. Enough is enough, and he’ll never learn otherwise. No, let’s see how this case plays out in court. No! Step off haters! #TEAMBREEZY View Poll »
