Seth McFarlane talks about sitting in the back of the theater during the initial screenings of “Ted”, especially this movie as it was the hardest script he’s ever written. The challenge in this film was retaining the story arch throughout the movie, and he’s relieved that the movie is not a failure. He says he hopes that audiences relate to the talking teddy bear as an actual character…and not just a stuffed child’s toy. Originally, ‘Ted’ was an idea for an animated series! Mark Wahlberg was once known as ‘Marky Mark’ — a macho, buffed out bro you wouldn’t want to mess with — but in his latest flick, ‘Ted’, Mark gets “silly” with singing and dancing, something he ordinarily hates! He says there’s still some action sequences he gets to partake in, a personal favorite…and some “three-way” action involving himself, Mila Kunis, and Ted, the stuffed bear character. Sounds…interesting! Hollywood.TV is the global leader in capturing celebrity breaking news as it happens. SXSW Surprise: Mark Wahlberg Sits In On Seth MacFarlane Panel

MacFarlane and Wahlberg discuss their forthcoming live-action collaboration ‘Ted’ at the SXSW Film Festival. By Kara Warner Mark Wahlberg at “A Conversation with Seth MacFarlane” during SXSW Photo: Getty Images The talent booked for the “A Conversation With” panels at this year’s annual South by Southwest Film Festival were big enough draws to warrant very long lines of fans and hopeful attendees eager to spend an hour and a half with the likes of Joss Whedon and Seth MacFarlane. Whedon’s panel delivered a few fun newsy bites about “Marvel’s The Avengers” and his surprise adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing.” MacFarlane’s panel took the surprise element to the next level in presenting the enthusiastic audience with eight minutes of footage from his upcoming live-action directorial debut, “Ted,” as well as the very raunchy red band and the very special guest appearance of star Mark Wahlberg . The “Family Guy” mastermind and “Fighter” star spoke enthusiastically about their shared experiences making the R-rated buddy/ semi-romantic comedy, which revolves around the friendship between a grown man (Wahlberg) and his childhood best friend, a magical talking teddy bear (voiced by MacFarlane), and how that gets in the way of his romantic relationship with girlfriend Lori (Mila Kunis). MTV News was lucky enough to chat with MacFarlane and surprise guest Wahlberg after their very well-received panel on Sunday, during which their mutual admiration for each other along with their genuine love for the film were obvious. “He was a huge pain in the ass, man, he asked for $70 million, the bastard,” MacFarlane joked about the difficulties in getting the actor/producer to sign on. “I only got $65 [million],” Wahlberg countered. “Sometimes you gotta make compromises in this economy.” “This was a natural fit from the get-go,” MacFarlane said about their partnership, before being interrupted by a noisy bird squawking in the tree overhead. “What the f— kind of animal was that?” Wahlberg asked, causing MacFarlane to bust out in laughter. “First I thought it was Henry. I’ve never heard that kind of squeak … it’s up there somewhere.” “Do you all have spider monkeys here in Austin?” MacFarlane joked, before getting back to explaining why Wahlberg was the perfect choice for the lead role. “It was a good fit from the get-go. It’s a balance tonally for the script, it had to be funny and at the same time it had to be real,” he said. “It was kind of a comedic tightrope. It was a very contemporary style of comedy and on top of all that, the actor was going to have to interact with empty space most of the time. “The thespian,” Wahlberg corrected. “Yeah, the thespian,” MacFarlane said with a smile. “This guy just knocked it out of the park.” “I just fell in love with the script,” Wahlberg admitted about what interested him in playing opposite a CG teddy bear to begin with. “I read the script before I had the opportunity to meet with Seth and before, I think, there was any interest from him in me playing the role. Even the premise, it all depends on who’s telling you the premise because it could sound really great or really ridiculous. As soon as I read the script, literally 30 pages in, I forgot that it was a teddy bear. I loved the relationship between these two guys and also the relationship with the female character, Mila’s character.” And while there are plenty of sweet, warm, fuzzy moments between the two best friends, this is a Seth MacFarlane movie, so there are just as many outrageous moments that will have audiences rolling in the aisles. “Mark gets into a pretty full-on ‘Bourne Identity’-esque fistfight with his teddy bear, which is definitely something I don’t think people have seen before,” MacFarlane revealed. “I think what’s pretty outrageous as well is that the teddy bear is having sex with the checkout girl at the back of the supermarket on top of a bunch of fresh produce, and instead of getting terminated, he gets a promotion because of it,” Wahlberg added. “It does happen.” Wahlberg and MacFarlane’s live-action collaboration “Ted” opens in theaters nationwide on July 13. ‘Hangover Part II’ Trailer: Five Key Moments

First full trailer shows return of Ken Jeong as Leslie Chow. By Eric Ditzian Ken Jeong in “The Hangover Part II” Photo: Warner Bros. Kanye West’s “Dark Fantasy” playing during the trailer’s opening moments tells you everything you need to know about “The Hangover Part II”: “Can we get much higher?” Apparently we can. At least Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms) and Alan (Zach Galifianakis) can as they drop into Thailand — or “Thigh-land,” as Alan calls it — for Stu’s destination wedding. The “Hangover Part II” teaser trailer gave us a taste of the sort of madness the sequel to 2009’s blockbuster comedy would deliver. But the first full trailer, which popped up online Thursday evening, gives us a more robust — and occasionally more raunchy — idea of exactly how these three jokers once again end up effed up and racing to get back to their loved ones. Here are our picks for the five key moments from the trailer. The Worst Rehearsal-Dinner Speech Ever Stu should know that as soon as Alan gets up to give a speech in front of friends and family, things are not going to go well. No sooner does Alan say he can never speak of what happened in Las Vegas (during the events of the original film) then he proceeds to do just that. “This is not Stu’s first marriage. There was a whore in Las Vegas a couple of …,” he declares before being cut off. Besides being highly inappropriate and pretty darn funny, the speech lets us know that the storyline of the sequel takes place a few years after Vegas, perhaps in real time following 2009’s “Hangover.” Teddy Is Bad News Stu’s bride-to-be comes up with one unfortunate idea when she suggests the guys go out for a drink and take her little brother Teddy along. Cut to the next morning and, once again, one seriously vicious post-party hangover. Teddy is missing. The boys have somehow landed in Bangkok. And Stu can’t return to his bride until he locates her bro. Is Teddy the one responsible for dosing them with drugs and kicking off their misadventure? Alan promises that, unlike last time, it wasn’t him. Teddy seems a likely culprit. Although there’s also … Leslie Chow?! As Phil says when they find him in their dive of a hotel room, “Chow, what are you doing here?” That’s a great question. Well, apparently he is Alan’s plus one, whatever that entails. And according to Chow himself, “We had a sick night, bitches!” Though the way in which he figures into the plot remains to be seen, it’s great to see 2010 MTV Movie Award winner Ken Jeong back in the mix. Stu, Unleashed Blink and you’ll miss it, but around the two-minute mark, we get a glimpse of Stu going buck-wild on what looks to be the streets of Bangkok. Is this a peek at what happens before the hangover sets in? Or perhaps Stu lets loose a second time? It’s impossible to tell when exactly this scene takes place, since the left side of his face — the one that bears a Mike Tyson-esque tattoo — is not revealed to the camera. Call PETA! Let’s just put this out there: Director Todd Phillips digs masturbation humor. In “Hangover,” he had Galifianakis take advantage of a baby. In “Due Date,” he had Galifianakis do unclean things to a dog. And now, it’s a monkey’s turn: After hiding a water bottle under a monk’s robes, he has the animal simulate, well, let Zack explain: “When a monkey nibbles on a weenus, it’s funny in any language.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com . Michael Jackson’s Michael: A Track-By-Track Preview

Posthumous album has its moments, but seems to be missing MJ’s magic touch. By Jayson Rodriguez Michael Jackson’s Michael Photo: Epic Records Whether or not you’re happy about it, a new Michael Jackson album is arriving December 14. And while the beleaguered pop superstar died before the project could be completed, a team of producers who Jackson was working with over the past five years helped finish the collection, taking unfinished demos and crafting them into songs for Michael, the first posthumous set from MJ. The album is equal parts eagerly anticipated and highly controversial, with some fans and artists, including will.i.am , lashing out over the material. Last week, MTV News listened to a preview of Michael, featuring contributions from 50 Cent, Teddy Riley and Lenny Kravitz, among others. The LP was thrilling at times but suffered at other points without the King of Pop’s magic touch. 1. “Hold My Hand” (featuring Akon) This sweeping number, also produced by Akon, is as updated as MJ could ever sound without being present; the track honors Jackson’s vocals, leaving the track to serve as the sound bed to his soaring voice. 2. “Hollywood Tonight” A dated sound makes the Teddy Riley-produced number sound like a discarded contribution to Jackson’s Blood on the Dance Floor: HIStory in the Mix collection. 3. “Keep Your Head Up” The-Dream’s right-hand man, producer Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, serves Jackson a track that’s bakery-fresh, making for a song as stirring as “Heal the World.” 4. “(I Like) The Way You Love Me” Former Ne-Yo producer Theron “Neff-U” Feemster leaves MJ’s legacy in apt hands, as the Grammy-winning musician cooks up a track that’s as thrilling as anything the explosive star has ever sang. 5. “Monster” (featuring 50 Cent) This hard-charging track is as aggressive as “Scream” musically with its snappy drums and driving bass; “New Jack Swing” kingpin Teddy Riley adds just the right touch of boom-bap for 50 Cent to deliver his trademark taunts in tandem with MJ’s grunts. 6. “Best of Joy” This soaring number was one of the last tracks Jackson worked on during his lifetime while preparing for his comeback shows in London; the song reflects the spirited mood MJ was in, as it’s brimming with a liveliness not seen from the superstar since his first solo offerings. 7. “Breaking News” Overwrought with Jackson’s paranoia for the tabloid media and pumped with enough synthesized sounds to make the Situation turn in his glow stick, this one falls flat in comparison to the standout selections on the set. 8. “(I Can’t Make It) Another Day” (featuring Lenny Kravitz) Clashing sounds, from heavy guitar riffs to funky chords, make this track miss the mark despite the boundless possibilities in the pairing of Jackson and Kravitz. 9. “Behind the Mask” MJ sampled the Yellow Magic Orchestra’s track of the same name for this one, which shows promise but sounds like it could have used the Gloved One’s added attention. 10. “Much Too Soon” Overbearingly melancholy, this Jackson track pushes emotion onto the listeners when the singer’s sullen voice could have delivered without the leering musical attempt to draw out feeling. Are you looking forward to the posthumous MJ collection? Let us know in the comments! Related Videos Michael Jackson’s Music Video History Related Photos Michael Jackson’s ‘Michael’ Cover Decoded
