Valerie Harper, a beloved former television star best known for her roles on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Rhoda , has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. Harper tells the latest issue of People that she received the news on January 15, as tests confirmed she has contracted a rare disease called Leptomeningeal Carcinomatosis.
