The very talented British actor Pete Postlethwaite has passed away at 64 “following a lengthy illness.” Postlethwaite was nominated for an Oscar in 1994 for his heart-wrenching performance in In the Name of the Father , in which he totally held his own against Daniel Day-Lewis. Even if he was never a marquee name, Postlethwaite did amazing work in a wide array of films including The Usual Suspects , Romeo + Juliet and this year’s The Town and Inception .
