It was the Tweet heard ’round the Twilight -sphere: Toronto Film Festival Artistic Director Cameron Bailey announced via Twitter that Kristen Stewart will be attending the festival with her film On The Road … which just happens to be premiering on September 6, the same night as the MTV Video Music Awards . Both stars along with Taylor Lautner were also reportedly opting out of convention tour duties surrounding the Twilight Saga ‘s final installment. “I like pushing and watching a genuine experience on screen,” Stewart of her sexually-daring performance after the film’s Cannes debut. “The reason I wanted to do the job was to be provoked as much as possible and then to do it and take it further. Bill Maher loves to make jokes at Bristol Palin’s expense. The daughter of Sarah Palin, whose new reality show premieres next month, says he IS a joke. On June 19, Lifetime debuts Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp . Whether the new series succeeds or not is an open question. How Maher feels about her is not. The comedian and talk show recently joked that Bristol will probably name her next baby Colt 45, after what Bristol’s drinking when she gets pregnant. That dig, also directed at her baby daddy Levi Johnston, who has another kid on the way (with Sunny Oglesby ), did not go over well with Bristol Palin . Asked what she thinks of Maher , she told Zap2it, “I find it really weird that all these adult men, that they’re always trying to say something about me.” “They’re older than my dad. They’re just evil. They’re like little girls. I feel like I’m in high school with a bunch of teenage girls. It’s very strange to me.” Regarding what she’d say to Maher, Palin says, “I don’t know. I’m not sure what I would say. I’d kind of shake my head at him. I think he’s a joke.” “My mom just heard me say something about Bill Maher [and said], ‘I’d punch him in the throat!’ Someone does need to put him in his place, though.” “If my dad or any of my guy friends got a hold of him, he’d have another think coming,” she adds in jest … or not really. “He really is a joke.” Maybe so, but that Tweet above was pretty funny. Justin Bieber may be all about practical jokes these days – check out this clip from the season premiere of Punk’d – but at least two people in Texas don’t fight the singer very funny. Last month, Bieber sent out nine-tenths of a phone number, along with the message “Call me right now.” Naturally – despite the Tweet being taken down soon after it went live – many teenage girls followed this advice, simply guessing the identity of the final digit. Unfortunately for Bieber (and even more unfortunately for the countless fans hoping to hear his sweet, sexy voice), two residents in Texas – identified by TMZ as Dilcie and Kent – are now threatening legal action against the star because their phones won’t stop ringing. A lawyer for these plaintiffs says his clients demand compensation for the fact that they are receiving up to 1,000 phone calls per day. What does the attorney suggest? Concert ticks, an apology from Bieber or, of course, straight up cash. No word yet from Justin’s camp, excerpt perhaps a bit of laughter over just how absurd these charges would sound if ever brought to court.
