Man of Steel has finally hit theaters! You know what that means: a nauseating amount of “It’s a bird, it’s a plane” puns in headlines and articles. Well not in this one, no! We Clark Can’t bring ourselves to stoop to that level. Dangit! Man of Steel  broke a June record opening weekends , earning $113 million over the three day period (plus an extra $12 million at Thursday evening preview screenings). The previous record was held by  Toy Story 3 , which took in $110 million in its first three days in theaters back in 2010. Hit the jump for the full weekend box office report. Akon Crowd Surfs To Break Up Fight

This YouTube video reveals the moment Akon risked his own safety and dived into a crowd of fans to stop a fight when violence erupted at a concert he was giving in the Australian city of Melbourne. Police were called to the scene and 18 people, including two security guards, were injured. The rapper claimed he jumped in to stop brawls that broke out due to rival gangs both inside and outside the Melbourne Park venue.
