DNA now shows Hitler was Jewish

Saliva samples taken from 39 relatives of the Nazi leader show he may have had biological links to the “subhuman” races that he tried to exterminate during the Holocaust. Jean-Paul Mulders, a Belgian journalist, and Marc Vermeeren, a historian, tracked down the Fuhrer’s relatives, including an Austrian farmer who was his cousin, earlier this year. A chromosome called Haplogroup E1b1b1 which showed up in their samples is rare in Western Europe and is most commonly found in the Berbers of Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia, as well as among Ashkenazi and Sephardic Jews. “One can from this postulate that Hitler was related to people whom he despised,” Mr Mulders wrote in the Belgian magazine, Knack. Haplogroup E1b1b1, which accounts for approximately 18 to 20 per cent of Ashkenazi and 8.6 per cent to 30 per cent of Sephardic Y-chromosomes, appears to be one of the major founding lineages of the Jewish population. Knack, which published the findings, says the DNA was tested under stringent laboratory conditions. “This is a surprising result,” said Ronny Decorte, a genetic specialist at the Catholic University of Leuven. “The affair is fascinating if one compares it with the conception of the world of the Nazis, in which race and blood was central. “Hitler's concern over his descent was not unjustified. He was apparently not “pure” or ‘Ayran’.” It is not the first time that historians have suggested Hitler had Jewish ancestry. His father, Alois, is thought to have been the illegitimate offspring of a maid called Maria Schickelgruber and a 19-year-old Jewish man called Frankenberger. added by: Elevator

By Eric Ditzian Rihanna (file) Photo: Jason Kempin/ Getty Images In the midst of her 27-date European tour, Rihanna suffered an injured rib that required a brief trip to an emergency room in Switzerland. The injury took place during Monday’s show in Zurich, according to People. Following the performance, Rihanna was taken to a private clinic. “[She] had an injured rib and went to have it looked at to be sure it was nothing serious, and it wasn’t,” the 22-year-old singer’s rep said. Rihanna continued on with the tour, performing Tuesday night in Lyon, France, and then heading to Marseille for Wednesday’s (April 21) concert. From there, her Last Girl on Earth Tour will weave through Western Europe, hitting countries like Germany and Luxembourg, before jumping over to the U.K. for 13 dates. The European leg of the tour will wrap up June 5 in Madrid. “All is OK and the tour is going great,” her rep said. The Last Girl on Earth Tour will pick back up in the U.S. on July 2 when Rihanna performs in Seattle. That show will kick off a 27-date North American run, which heads north to Canada and then down through Western states like California and Arizona. The Eastern dates will hit cities such as Miami, Boston and New York. The tour finishes up in Chicago on August 25. Ke$ha will join Rihanna on the tour; Nicki Minaj was set to tour with the two women as well, but pulled out earlier this month . “I’m just so excited to be on the same stage as Rihanna,” Ke$ha told us recently. “She’s obviously an incredible performer, singer, woman. So that tour’s going to be so much fun.” Are you excited to see the Last Girl on Earth Tour? Let us know in the comments below! Related Artists Rihanna
