Elsewhere In The World: Conservative Politician In Estonia Believes It Should Stay A ‘White Country’ – Says “If You’re Black, Go Back!”

Martin Helme: Estonia Needs To Say White – “If You’re Black, Go Back” Conservative parties in Europe are just as bad as here when it comes to black people, SMH. According to International Business Times: An outspoken Estonian politician has a message for would-be immigrants: “If you’re black, go back.” Martin Helme, a board member for the Conservative People’s Party, was speaking about immigration policies on a television show in Tallinn, when he said he wants Estonia to remain a “white country,” and that an influx of immigrants would lead to the “pillaging and raping” of Estonian towns. The English-language ERR, an Estonian public broadcasting service, reported the story on Wednesday, stating that Helme’s comments stemmed from concerns that Estonia could see civil unrest similar to elsewhere in Europe, where migration from African nations such as Algeria, Morocco and Cameroon has skyrocketed over the past four decades. Tensions between immigrants and authorities have increased in the wake of Europe’s economic downturn, which has lessened prospects for the thousands of Africans who migrate to Europe each year in search of a better life. In Sweden last week, riots broke out in Stockholm after police shot 69-year-old Portuguese immigrant who had lived in the country for 30 years. It was the third time that riots have broken out in the country in the last five years. Helme, ERR reports, wants to avoid similar problems in Estonia before they start. “Estonia shouldn’t allow things to go as far as in England, France and Sweden,” Helme reportedly said. “Our immigration policy should have one simple rule: If you’re black, go back. As simple as that. We shouldn’t allow this problem to emerge in the first place.” Formerly known as the People’s Union — a center-right, pro-business party in the 1990s — the Conservative People’s Party once had the largest membership in Estonia. However, support for the party waned significantly following a series of leadership scandals. Today the party is supported by only about 3 percent of the country and is not even represented in Estonia’s parliament, according to ERR. 3% huh? So that means no one is really checking for this guy and his “pillaging and raping” bullisht.

Anne Hathaway Sings, James Franco Makes Charlie Sheen Joke During Oscars

Hathaway belts out comical tune ribbing Hugh Jackman before Franco takes jab at Sheen. By Jocelyn Vena Anne Hathaway performs during the 2011 Oscars Photo: AMPAS/ ABC The Oscars broadcast went nearly one hour before anyone cracked a Charlie Sheen joke. It was James Franco who did the honors, but not before his fellow co-host, Anne Hathaway got the chance to poke fun at another well-known actor. Hathaway took to the stage solo clad in a tuxedo and belted out a tune to the melody of “On My Own” from “Les Miserables,” a little jab at Hugh Jackman who she apparently wanted to do a duet with during the broadcast. “There’s a tradition of singing at the Oscars,” she mused to the crowd. “One that I was lucky enough to take part in two years ago. And this year I wanted to do a duet again with a special guest, but he bailed on me at the last minute and I couldn’t do it. But I’m not a quitter, so this is the best I could do under the circumstances.” She then got up and dazzled the crowd with her killer vocal abilities, singing these biting lines to one particular former Oscars host: “On my own/ ‘Cause someone’s a huge jackass/ I won’t say who/ Thought Australians were our allies/ It turns out Down Under’s kinda shady/ Not you, Nicole, or not any other Aussie but just one/ Who shall not be named,” as the cameras panned to Hugh Jackman, who had performed with Hathaway at the 2009 Academy Awards during a celeb-filled musical number. “He stuck his fake retractable claws/ Into my heart,” she continued. “When he left me on my own.” But the bit didn’t end there, as Franco walked onstage dressed in drag as Marilyn Monroe. “You got to wear a tuxedo,” he joked to Hathaway. “So I wore this. Weird part is I just got a text message from Charlie Sheen.” The two then played the joke off, welcoming to the stage Russell Brand and Helen Mirren, who presented the Best Foreign Language Film prize to “In a Better World” (Denmark). DNA now shows Hitler was Jewish

Saliva samples taken from 39 relatives of the Nazi leader show he may have had biological links to the “subhuman” races that he tried to exterminate during the Holocaust. Jean-Paul Mulders, a Belgian journalist, and Marc Vermeeren, a historian, tracked down the Fuhrer’s relatives, including an Austrian farmer who was his cousin, earlier this year. A chromosome called Haplogroup E1b1b1 which showed up in their samples is rare in Western Europe and is most commonly found in the Berbers of Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia, as well as among Ashkenazi and Sephardic Jews. “One can from this postulate that Hitler was related to people whom he despised,” Mr Mulders wrote in the Belgian magazine, Knack. Haplogroup E1b1b1, which accounts for approximately 18 to 20 per cent of Ashkenazi and 8.6 per cent to 30 per cent of Sephardic Y-chromosomes, appears to be one of the major founding lineages of the Jewish population. Knack, which published the findings, says the DNA was tested under stringent laboratory conditions. “This is a surprising result,” said Ronny Decorte, a genetic specialist at the Catholic University of Leuven. “The affair is fascinating if one compares it with the conception of the world of the Nazis, in which race and blood was central. “Hitler's concern over his descent was not unjustified. He was apparently not “pure” or ‘Ayran’.” It is not the first time that historians have suggested Hitler had Jewish ancestry. His father, Alois, is thought to have been the illegitimate offspring of a maid called Maria Schickelgruber and a 19-year-old Jewish man called Frankenberger. added by: Elevator

2010 ESPY Awards Honor Kobe, Landon And Lindsey, Spoof LeBron

Host Seth Myers and others skewer sports oddities from James’ special to Paul the octopus. By Kyle Anderson Landon Donovan at the ESPY Awards Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images The worlds of sports, movies, music and television came together under one roof on Wednesday, the quietest sports day of the year, for ESPN’s annual ESPY Awards. Dozens of stars — including Los Angeles Lakers great Kobe Bryant, American World Cup hero Landon Donovan, New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees and Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn — gathered at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles for a night of sports highlights and wacky comedy, orchestrated by host Seth Myers. Bryant, Donovan, Brees and Vonn each won some of the night’s biggest awards. Kobe, fresh off the Lakers’ latest championship and his second Finals MVP, scored the prize for Best NBA Player. Donovan won two trophies, one each for Best MLS Player and Best Moment in Sports (his game-winning goal against Algeria in the World Cup beat out the New Orleans’ Saints Super Bowl victory, Phil Mickelson’s win at the 2009 Masters and Canadian figure skater Joannie Rochette’s performance at the Winter Olympics). Brees was voted Best Male Athlete, Best NFL Player and Best Championship Performance, while Vonn took home the prizes for Best Female Athlete and Best Female Olympian. Much of the humor during the evening — provided by the likes of Will Ferrell, Jon Hamm, Andy Samberg, Tracy Morgan, Zac Efron, Mark Wahlberg and Luke Wilson — was directed at LeBron James (who was also in attendance) and his recent one-hour special, “The Decision,” which ESPN aired last week. “Did it really need to be an hour?” Myers asked. “Somebody time me: ‘Miami.’ How long did that take? A second!” The 2010 FIFA World Cup was also the source of much humor. Ferrell came out for some vuvuzela-related jokes and Samberg appeared on the show as Paul, the German octopus who correctly predicted the winners of a handful of matches. But the highlight of the night was the surprise award given to President Barack Obama. His presence in the building was kept a secret, but he received a standing ovation when he approached the stage to accept his Lifetime Achievement ESPY, given for his “contributions and commitment to American sport.” What was your favorite moment from the 2010 ESPY Awards? Bianca Kajlich: Not Blindsided, Fully Supportive of Landon Donovan Amid Paternity Claim

Landon Donovan’s estranged wife Bianca Kajlich was aware of reports that he got a British girl pregnant after they separated, and remains supportive of him. A source close to the Rules of Engagement star, currently separated from Donovan, says, “She’s been aware of the claim is extremely supportive of Landon.” “She was not blindsided by this and isn’t angry .” A British woman who has not been identified told a UK newspaper she is allegedly carrying Landon Donovan’s love child . The news broke late last week. Can Bianca Kajlich and Landon Donovan patch things up? Probably the biggest name on the U.S. World Cup team, Donovan scored the winner against Algeria last week and the team’s goal against Ghana Saturday. The soccer star has acknowledged that the paternity claim might be true, although nothing has been confirmed and he won’t comment again until it is. “I was informed of the possibility during the World Cup, and if I need to take responsibility, then I will provide the appropriate support,” he told SI.com. Landon Donovan and Bianca Kajlich, who wed in 2006, had been trying to repair their relationship. He even blew a kiss to her during a recent interview. He also declared they “are not officially divorced” and shared an “emotional phone call” following his winning goal against Algeria, which “was nice.”

Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo Channels U.S. Team’s ‘Swagger’ For World Cup Song

Soccer super-fan predicts U.S. will beat Algeria to advance to the next round. By James Montgomery, with reporting by Sasha Hamrogue Rivers Cuomo Photo: Bryan Bedder/ Getty Images Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo grew up a soccer fan , and his support for the U.S. men’s team is already well-documented. That’s why, though he’d previously written an anthem for the 2006 World Cup team — a group that rather famously underachieved — he decided to pen another one for the 2010 squad. Because this time, things were different. “I tried to make a soccer anthem back in 2006, but it was right after we got knocked out [of the World Cup] in pretty humiliating fashion in the first round, so it came out really kind of sad,” Cuomo told MTV Radio. “And this time around, I was just feeling super optimistic and kind of badass after our performance in the Confederations Cup last year, and especially around this player [Clint] Dempsey, who seems to have this badass attitude and ability to step up and put the ball in the back of the net, even when we’re playing against the giants. So I wrote a song, which hopefully captures some of that confidence and swagger in the face of pretty daunting odds.” The song he ended up writing — the fist-pumping “Represent,” which premiered last week on Weezer’s A.P.E Radio station — most certainly captures that swag. Shoot, in some small way, it probably helped the U.S. team battle to a tie with heavily favored England in its opening match. “After we premiered it, I heard from the U.S. soccer Twitter,” he beamed. “They tweeted at me and said they downloaded the song and put it in the playlist for the pre-game listen, before the U.S./England match.” With that match — and a hard-fought draw with Slovenia — behind them, the U.S. team now stands on the precipice of advancing to the knockout stage of the World Cup, a place the haven’t been since 2002. All they need to do is beat Algeria on Wednesday morning (if they tie, there are a host of other scenarios in which they can still advance, most of which involve stuff like goal differentials ). And, though he’s not exactly the cocky sort, if pressed, Cuomo believes that the U.S. team won’t need to worry about differentials or tiebreakers. The way he sees it, they’ll beat Algeria outright. “I’m not good at making predictions, because you never know what’s going to happen; anything can happen in soccer,” he laughed. “But I guess if I had to bet, I’d say the U.S. is going to win 2-0 and advance to the next round.” What do you think of Rivers’ prediction and his World Cup anthem?
