Days of Summer is set to take place once again this year, and this time around, he’ll be bringing Cardi B and Post Malone along for the ride. Full details have not been revealed yet, but Khaled himself is expected to play a number of DJ sets during the cruise, which will set sail from Miami to the Bahamas on June 28, returning to Florida on July 1. Further acts are set to be announced shortly and they’re sure to be impressive; When Khaled hosted his first at-sea festival back in 2017, he brought along some huge names including Future and Lil Wayne. “The cruise will offer fans to get up-close-and-personal with their favorite artists, and will offer a variety of parties and activities, including meet-n-greets, comedy shows, panels, and nightlife,” the organizers said about the upcoming event. Cardi B is going to play a string of European days right after her Days of Summer 2019 performance, kicking off her tour with a show in Belgium on June 30. Speaking of Cardi and DJ Khaled, Asahd’s father recently teased that he has an “anthem” with the Bronx rapper on the way, building excitement for the track with a clip of them together on what looks to be the the set for the song’s music video. Ariana Grande Cancels The Remainder Of World Tour After Manchester Bombing The trauma of the Manchester Arena bombing is still VERY fresh on all of us, especially Ariana Grande. According to TMZ , the pop singer will no longer be performing the remainder of her European tour. It is said that Grande is “in hysterics” and not in the right mind to perform for anyone. We have an update on the terrorist attack that killed at least 19 people inside Manchester Arena on Monday night. As previously reported, an explosion rocked this venue shortly after Ariana Grande finished her set and thanked her fans for attending. Just as she made her way off stage, what authorities have described as a “nail bomb” was detonated, around 10:33 p.m. local time. No organization has claimed responsibility for the mass murder, while police are operating under the assumption that this was the act of a suicide bomber. He has not been identified, but it is the working assumption that the bomber is dead. The death count has also now risen to 22 individuals, with 59 other concert goers reported as wounded, 19 of them in critical condition. As a result, this is now the deadliest militant assault in Great Britain since four British Muslims killed 52 people in suicide bombings on London’s transport system in July 2005. British Prime Minister Theresa May called for an emergency Cabinet meeting Tuesday and said the explosion was being treated as an “appalling terrorist attack.” Police do believe there was just one bomber, however. Numerous survivors of the blast have shared their accounts to The BBC and other outlets, with one 19-year old explaining his experience as follows: “We ran and people were screaming around us and pushing on the stairs to go outside and people were falling down, girls were crying, and we saw these women being treated by paramedics having open wounds on their legs … “It was just chaos… It was literally just a minute after it ended, the lights came on and the bomb went off.” Said Donald Trump in a statement on the attack: I extend my deepest condolences to those so terribly injured in this terrorist attack and to the many killed and the families, so many families, of the victims. We stand in absolute solidarity with the people of the United Kingdom. So many young beautiful innocent people living and enjoying their lives murdered by evil losers in life. I won’t call them monsters because they would like that term. They would think that’s a great name. I will call them from now on losers because that’s what they are. They’re losers, and we’ll have more of them, but they’re losers, just remember that. This wicked ideology must be obliterated. German Chancellor Angela Merkel, meanwhile, said it “will only strengthen our resolve to…work together with our British friends against those who plan and carry out such inhumane deeds.” Grande has also issued her first statement since the fatal incident. On Twitter last night, the singer – who sources tell TMZ was “in hysterics” following the explosion – wrote a simple message that expressed her shock and grief. “broken. from the bottom of my heart, i am so so sorry. i don’t have words,” Tweeted Grande. Grande had been scheduled to perform on London on Thursday night. Insiders now tell TMZ that she has suspended the entire European tour until an unspecified date, putting on hold future shows in England, Belgium, Poland, Germany and Switzerland. Adds Grande’s manager, Scooter Braun: “We mourn the lives of children and loved ones taken by this cowardly act. Bianca Landrau, the Boston hip-hop star known as Bia, who also performed at the show, Tweeted an update on her status yesterday, writing: “Guys we are okay!!!” And singer Victoria Monét, the opening act at the concert, said in a statement that she was safe but “heartbroken that loved ones who came to have the night of their lives ended up losing them,” adding: “I wish I could say that I am OK, but I am not. Please send all your prayers up high for Manchester.” Many other celebrities have also taken to social media to issue messages of mourning. Officer Of The Year Admits To Raping Immigrant Men A former Florida police officer has admitted to forcing undocumented immigrants into having sex with him. Via Free Thought Project : Jonathan Bleiweiss, 34, pleaded guilty to an array of charges last week, admitting to 14 counts of armed false imprisonment, 15 counts of battery and four counts of stalking. However, he avoided all of the charges with “sex” in them. Most likely due to his police officer status, this former Broward Sheriff’s deputy was given an insultingly lenient plea deal. As part of that deal, Bleiweiss did not face charges of sexual battery, and as such will not be required by the state of Florida to register as a sex offender. A group of approximately 20 undocumented immigrants alleged that Bleiweiss, harassed them, molested them during pat-downs, and threatened them with deportation if they refused to perform sex acts. Eerily enough, just after this officer was named Employee of the Year for his district, Bleiweiss told the South Florida Blade newspaper that early in his career one of his supervisors taunted him by calling him “sex offender,” for being openly gay. However, the label, now fitting, will not be applied. Bleiweiss was sentenced to five years in jail and ten years of probation but avoided the sex offender designation altogether. Undocumented immigrant workers are often targeted by unscrupulous individuals as they have very little recourse when trying to report crimes committed against them, because of their “illegal” status. Bleiweiss likely chose this vulnerable group of people to violate and abuse, for this reason. In the end, Bleiweiss was charged with arbitrary battery charges relating to patdowns he conducted while on duty; nothing else. Broward Public Defender Howard Finkelstein called the outcome, “shocking and shameful to the whole county.” The Sun-Sentinel reported on another contrasting case that played out in court on the same day as Bleiweiss’ deal. Eric Beasley, 25, a former high school teacher from Broward, was sentenced to 20 years in prison after admitting to having a sexual relationship with an underage student, a 14-year-old girl. Both men obviously abused their positions of authority, and both men victimized underage teens. But only one of them did it to multiple victims. Only one of them carries a badge and a gun and throws people in prison for the same crimes he committed. And, only one of them was able to get special privileges for their depravity. The cop. The original investigation began in April of 2009 after multiple complaints were brought against Bleiweiss. However, he was allowed to stay on the job for several months after. During those several months, Bleiweiss racked up more victims, including the underage teen. SMH!!!!!!!!
How AIDS Truly Started Do you where AIDS truly came from? As New York Post reports, In Randy Shilts’ history of AIDS, “And the Band Played On,” Air Canada steward named Gaëtan Dugas is pinpointed as the first case of then-named “gay cancer,” and blamed for bringing the virus to the US and infecting 40 people or more with HIV. While there’s no doubt that Dugas helped spread the virus , new data shows that he was by no means the first case. In fact, HIV had already been around for nearly 75 years and likely already in the US for about 10 years, going virtually unnoticed due to its extreme rarity and doctors’ inability to identify what the issue was. As author David Quammen reveals in his new book “The Chimp and the River: How AIDS Emerged from an African Rain Forest:” “Dugas himself was infected by some other human, presumably during a sexual encounter — and not in Africa . . . somewhere closer to home.” “As evidence now shows, HIV had already arrived in North America when Gaëtan Dugas was a virginal adolescent.” And to the urban legends that HIV came from sexual contact between a human and a chimp — that’s not true either. The disease DID originate in simian blood, however the spread from chimp to human was much more organic: “AIDS began with a spillover from one chimp to one human, in or near a small southeastern wedge of Cameroon, around 1908.” Quammen writes. The most likely way it jumped species was through a person Quammen calls the “Cut Hunter” — a man who hunted and butchered a chimpanzee infected with simian immunodeficiency virus and was wounded in the process. The chimp’s blood mingled with his through the cuts in his skin. From there, the virus spread from person to person one at a time in low numbers, very slowly and unnoticed due to high mortality rates and frequent death by disease. The virus spread much faster mid-century when French-speaking Haitian colonials, placed there by Belgium, introduced re-usable syringes to the Congo while treating ailments. Long story short, the disease went from the Congo to Haiti after the Belgian government fell and medics returned home, soon spreading to America after more syringe-sharing, blood-donation, and sexual contact between Americans and Haitians occurred: “It reached hemophiliacs through the blood supply. It reached drug addicts through shared needles. It reached gay men… by sexual transmission, possibly from an initial contact between two males, an American and a Haitian.” Interesting stuff, right?
