Source: NBC / Getty Megyn Kelly Finally Exits NBC With $30 Million Settlement Megyn Kelly is officially no longer an employee of NBC, but she didn’t make her exit without securing a hefty settlement first. NBC announced on Friday that they had finalized the terms of Kelly’s exit, only two short years after she signed a $69 million deal with the network: “The parties have resolved their differences, and Megyn Kelly is no longer an employee,” NBC announced in a statement to the New York Times . The publication reports that the former host will walk away with a $30 million payout, which is the remainder of her original $69 million contract. Back in January of 2017, the former Fox News anchor signed on to host the Megyn Kelly Today show , which was canceled back in October following her controversial comments about blackface. “But what is racist? You truly do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface at Halloween or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween,” Kelly said as she spoke to an all-white panel on her then-morning talk show. “Back when I was a kid, that was OK, as long as you were dressing up as like a character.” Unsurprisingly, Kelly’s ignorance about blackface immediately sparked outrage, prompting her to issue an apology in which she used said ignorance as an excuse. “I realize now that such behavior is indeed wrong, and I am sorry,” she wrote in an email to her NBC colleagues at the time. “The history of blackface in our culture is abhorrent; the wounds too deep. I’ve never been a “pc” kind of person — but I understand that we do need to be more sensitive in this day and age. Particularly on race and ethnicity issues which, far from being healed, have been exacerbated in our politics over the past year.” Kelly recently told TMZ she would “definitely” be back on TV, but the ratings for The Today Show have only increased since she left–companies might wanna take note.

According to Rap Radar Cosby spent some time complaining and pleading to his wife, Camille, after spending the first day of his 3-10 year sentence behind bars. After the sentencing Cosby was allegedly allowed a brief phone call by speakerphone to his wife, who also wasn’t in attendance. He allegedly told Camille that “they took my cane, tie and shoelaces because they think I will harm myself.” And that “he had a stale hotdog bun thrown at him and he fell down a few steps because he wasn’t being guided,” and that lastly that he was “under siege” and begged his wife to try everything to get him out from behind bars by “Grabbing the checkbook and hire anyone and everyone who could get him out as soon as possible,” says a Rap Radar source. Immediately after sentencing the 81-year-old Cosby, Judge Steven O’Neill revoked his bail and remanded him to the custody of prison officials, where he was transported to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility to serve out the remainder of his sentence.

Cheif Keef Shot At In NYC Cheif Keef literally dodged a bullet during his latest visit to NYC this weekend. According to TMZ , shots were fired Keef’s way around 6am outside the W Times Square. Shell casings were discovered, and cops are on the hunt for two black males spotted fleeing the scene, wearing all black hoodies. Thankfully, none of the shots fired connected, and Keef walked away unharmed. Mind you…this incident comes hot on the heels of Tekashi 69 publicly giving Chief Keef and fellow rapper Lil Reese 48 hours to murder him. Yes, you read that correctly. The rainbow-haired instigator went on a full rant against the drill duo, even causing his female companion to grab her pooch and get off the scene to avoid subsequent heat. Now we’re not pointing ANY fingers here, but all this smack talk doesn’t exactly foster an environment of peace in the NYC streets. Besides, 69 is reportedly in LA after giving that ultimatum to someone visiting his city… Anyway, thankfully Keef is okay! Hopefully, he’ll stay safe for the remainder of his time in NYC. As you’ve probably heard, Kate’s been suffering from severe morning sickness – a result of a condition known as Hyperemesis Gravidarum that affects about 1 in 100 pregnant women. Kate made her first public appearance in 10 weeks yesterday, and it was taken by many royal-watchers as an encouraging sign that she’s beginning to recover from her illness. People reports that those closest to Kate believe she’s turned a corner and that the worst is over. In fact, sources say she seems happier than ever these days, and seems thrilled with the prospect of a little brother or sister for Prince George: “She was her smiling, bubbly self,” says one insider who spent time with Kate at recent event. “You would have never guessed she’s been ill.” The source cautions, however, that Kate’s health is not yet back to 100%: “It is not right to say she is absolutely fine. She is still feeling some effects of HG. But she is definitely recovering.” Hyperemesis Gravidarum is usually at its most severe in the first trimester. Kate is due in April , so there’s reason to believe she’s on the mend. While she’s likely to experience some symptoms for the remainder of her pregnancy, insiders have hinted that Kate will be making far more frequent public appearances in the coming months.
