La La Anthony has come a long way from her MTV VJ days, as she now finds herself booking some pretty impressive gigs in Hollywood. Season two of Star has already lined up an impressive list of new cast members, including Luke James, Elijah Kelley, Evan Ross, Lance Gross, Patti LaBelle and Brandy Norwood. Now, Anthony has been added to the list, as it was just announced by Deadline that she will portray Evan Ross’s character Angel’s estranged mother Paola, who has a complicated history with Jahil, played by Benjamin Bratt. With Star still early into its second season, the high-profile guest stars will likely fill out the remainder of the season, with some spilling over into the show’s third season as well. At press time, there is no official date announced when Anthony is slated to appear, but series creator Lee Daniels has a habit of moving pretty quickly, so it could be sooner rather than later. Khloe Kardashian on Marital Woes: "Trying My Best" to Persevere!

Khloe Kardashian is doing all she can to remain positive these days. That was the message the reality star delivered last night during a 35-minute chat with her Facebook followers. After one fan wrote that Khloe is an “inspiration” for how she carries herself these “all of these hard times,” Kardashian responded: “I’m trying my best! Kisses.” The challenging times, of course, refer to Lamar Odom and the downward spiral he has been on for months now. According to the latest accounts, Odom is freebasing pure cocaine and making massive drug purchases on a nearly weekly basis. He somehow still believes he can play in the NBA this season as well. Does he believe he can save his marriage? It’s unclear, but also unlikely. The couple didn’t spend its fourth wedding anniversary together and Khloe has been taking passive aggressive shots at her estranged husband online. She did so again last night, in fact, writing via Instagram. “I crave a love so deep the ocean would be jealous.” Does that sound like a woman in a happy relationship?

Kim Kardashian Books Trip to The Middle East

Forget her large boobs for a moment. Kim Kardashian put her foot in her mouth big time this week, Tweeting about the Israel and Palestine conflict and receiving major backlash for involving herself in this centuries-old feud. Now, in response, sources tell TMZ the reality star has booked a trip to Kuwait and Bahrain . Well, not so much in response: she was already planning a visit in order to welcome Millions of Milkshakes to those nations. Naturally. But now? She hopes to educate herself on the region and “be as informed as possible,” an insider alleges, adding that she has set up meets with local leaders in both countries. How come? “So she can use her celebrity to help those in need and raise awareness about important issues in the area.” Hey, there’s a first time for everything, right, folks?

Caroline Manzo: Returning to The Real Housewives of New Jersey!

Phew . We can all breathe a major sigh of relief: Caroline Manzo will return next season to The Real Housewives of New Jersey . With rumors swirling around this reality TV star – might she depart the series that made her famous? – Melissa Gorga spoke to In Touch Weekly and made it as clear as possible: “Caroline is returning,” she told the tabloid. “Okay, there you go. Caroline is back and so is Kathy.” Hooray… we suppose. Along with the Manzos, viewers can reportedly expect a villainous return to the program next season as well. Yes, Danielle Staub is on her way back . Set your DVR accordingly. And consider yourself warned.

‘Glee’ Stars Say New Season Is ‘Different Than What You Expect’

And the “Glee” club promised us that when fans tune into the show for this new crop of episodes, anything is possible — there will be lots of hot hook-ups and tons of interesting and unexpected musical numbers. “Everybody’s relationships when we come back are just really different,” Dianna Agron said of the characters’ love lives. “Different than what you expect.” Co-star Heather Morris added that there will be some shake-ups in the worlds of love and friendship on the show. “We create relationships … [There are] a lot more relationships,” she said. “We start to like a lot more people. I can say that.” And while this season the show will pay homage to both Lady Gaga and Madonna, Mark Salling admitted he had a favorite, telling MTV News he really loved the way one Madonna classic turned out. “We did ‘Like a Prayer’ in the Madonna episode,” he shared. “It’s my favorite number in that episode.” There are a number of guest stars lined up including Neil Patrick Harris , with Jennifer Lopez rumored to stop by this season as well. Dijon Talton summed up the ensuing craziness best: “You’re gonna see people you never thought hook up, hook up. Songs you never thought you’d hear, you’re gonna hear.
