We have some real drama between two cast members on The Real Housewives of Orange County. We’re talking about some real serious legal drama here. In a surprising turn of events, Vicki Gunvalson has filed a lawsuit against her fellow Bravo colleague, Kelly Dodd, accusing her rival of making defamatory statements toward her. According to documents filed on November 1, Gunvalson is irate over allegations hurled in her direction by Dodd, most notably such quotes as: You prey on older people , You are a con woman and You engaged in fraud . Initially, Vicki included Bravo and its parent company, NBCUniversal, in the complaint — but she later dismissed both the network and the company from the lawsuit. We’ve obviously heard of plenty of Real Housewives getting all angry over what someone else said on air or in some interview about her. But this is the time we’ve heard of actual legal action being taken in response. The 57-year old Coto Insurance CEO claims the allegations Dodd made are false and that they could “damage her reputation and livelihood,” negatively affecting her career outside of the series if the network airs them on national television at any point in the future. To be clear, the episode during which Dodd says these things about her foe has not yet aired. Gunvalson is seeking an injunctive relief and damages, stating that she doesn’t want the entire episode to be pulled from the air. However, she is demanding that producers remove the remarks Kelly made about Vicki being a “con woman” from the installment in question. This lawsuit, of course, is brand new. But tension between Vicki and Kelly has been lingering for several months. Dodd told Us Weekly in August that she will “never, ever, ever” be friends with Vicki after she accused her of doing cocaine during season 13. Kelly pushed for Vicki to be fired at the time. “I think that she uses everybody as a story line. She doesn’t really have anything in her life,” Kelly said last year, adding: “You know, her kids are gone, her grandkids are gone. It’s just her — what are we going to watch her and [fiancé] Steve [Lodge] drink wine on the couch?” Gunvalson was demoted to a “friend” role for season 14. But this didn’t stop her and Dodd from engaging in several arguments . “If Kelly had a job and went to work every day like I do, she wouldn’t have time to constantly throw stones at others,” Vicki said in August. “She really needs to worry about herself.” We can also now confirm that The Real Housewives of Orange County reunion will be filmed next Friday, November is 8. Both Dodd and Gunvalson are expected to attend. View Slideshow: Kelly Dodd: Vicki Gunvalson is a Freaking Psycho Pig Bish C–t!!
Kurt Sutter, the executive producer best known for having created Sons of Anarchy and then its spinoff, Mayans M.C., has been fired by FX. The writer himself confirmed the news in a letter he sent to the cast and crew of the latter drama on Thursday afternoon. According to The Hollywood Reporter insiders, Sutter was let go due to “multiple complaints” over his behavior on the series, which chronicles a biker gang viewers first met on Sons of Anarchy. As mentioned above, Sutter detailed his dismissal by FX CEO John Landgraf and Disney TV Studios and ABC Entertainment chairman Dana Walden in a message sent to those who had been working with him on The Mayans for the past two years. In this message, he described himself as an “abrasive dick.” Representatives for FX and 20th Century Fox TV have not yet commented on the development, while representatives for Sutter did not respond to the aforementioned outlet’s multiple requests for a remark. Filming and production on the second season of Mayans M.C. has already been completed. Last month, Sutter told fans at the Season 2 premiere that he was planning to down from his executive producer role should this Sons of Anarchy follow-up earn a third season from FX. “It’s time for the white man to leave the building,” he told the audience at the Hollywood screening. Sutter went on to say at the time that a person of color should run the writers’ room because it’s a drama about a Mexican biker gang on the California-Mexico border. Always an outspoken showrunner, Sutter appeared as the character of Otto in multiple episodes of Sons of Anarchy. He was also one of the main writers on legendary FX drama The Shield. “This morning I was fired by Dana Walden and John Landgraf for all the complaints levied against me,” wrote Sutter in his letter to the cast and crew, adding: “Not the way I wanted to end my 18 year relationship with FX. At least being fired for being an abrasive dick is on brand… “I deeply apologize if I’ve made people feel less than or unsupported. My intention was literally the opposite. But clearly I’ve not been paying attention. “My arrogance and chronic distraction has created wreckage. Just know, I adore this cast and crew.” Elsewhere, however, Sutter was far more pointed in his criticism of the decision. Here is his lengthy letter in full: Let me begin by saying, I know who I am. I know the impact of my process. I’m intense and passionate. I take what I do very seriously. That’s what having a vision manifests. And if you fuck with that vision, I’m gonna push back. When I’m right, I let the work speak for itself. When I’m wrong, I own it, make amends and fix it. I pride myself on having a supportive and empowering set. I try to acknowledge all the hard work everyone does. I’m clear that it’s a collaborative effort. And I try to pass that philosophy down to my writers and producers so they do the same. Disney letting me go today was apparently based on data collected by HR and Business Affairs from writers, producers, cast and crew. They claim the intel suggests that I created a climate of hostility, favoritism and enabled a set where no one felt safe or appreciated. I know that’s not true. I’m not saying it was all sunshine and roses, but I’m close with most of those guys and they love going to work. I’m also not sure how, having been on set… maybe three times all season, I was able to singularly create that much damage Never did I think the ship was off course until after mid season when I suddenly was bombarded with unfavorable reports about the tension on set. I am not going to mention names, because I don’t want to point fingers. So yes, there were complaints. And ultimately whomever they are about lands on me to fix. That’s when I contacted the network to let them know. They told me they’d look into it. And to sit tight. So I did. Who I have been hard on this season is the studio and network. I’ve felt the creative scrutiny of Disney from day one. Notes on scripts and cuts have been heavy handed. Demanding a level of dumbing-down story and inane PC restraints like I’ve never experienced before. I genuinely feared for the creative future of the storytelling. So I pushed back.Hard. No different than I have in the past. In fact, much tamer than I ever was on SOA. However, I was dealing with personnel who didn’t know me. And my level of… passion. Clearly I ruffled a few mouse ears. I know my role at Mayans MC was going to be greatly reduced. I am handing off the show to Elgin. So it’s not the job that’s the issue. What pisses me off, what hurts the most, is that John Landgraf and Dana Walden sat across from me and sited a summary of a slanted truth formulated by lawyers and clerks. They blamed my dismissal on the cast and crew. People I care about. People I respect. They had no first hand knowledge of anything they were saying. They’ve never been on set or spoken to any of my people. I’m not saying all of the intel was bullshit. But I know that’s not why I was fired. The truth is, the suits wanted me gone. I stepped on toes and bruised egos. And in this Disney regime, I’m dangerous to the wholesome brand. And clearly not worth the trouble. So 18 years of friendship, loyalty and producing quality television, was flushed down the drain. They threw me under the fucking bus. I send this diatribe because I feel deeply wronged. They embarrassed me. They created a false narrative that could damage my reputation and career. I want them to understand the depth of that mistake. Talk soon. Thanks. ks. sutterink, the letter concluded.”
Source: Mike Pont / Getty Although Gabrielle Union is now known as one of the most beautiful women in entertainment and film, she wasn’t always treated this way. In a recent interview with AOL’s “Build Series,” the actress explained that she was once passed over for a role because she wasn’t considered pretty enough. Want Exclusives First? Instead, actress Bianca Lawson was casted and went on to star in the UPN series. Union said when her manager asked the casting directors how she could improve her craft for future auditions, she was told it wasn’t talent, it was looks. “I was testing for a pilot of UPN, Google the network, it no longer exists. Coincidence, I think not,” she started with fun shade. “It was between me, and another girl–she’s known, Bianca Lawson, from “Queen Sugar” fame, who’s lovely. And she ended up getting the job. My manager said, ‘Why? is there anything we can give her to work on for the next gig?’ And they were like, ‘No, Bianca’s just prettier.’” Text “RICKEY” to 71007 to join the Rickey Smiley Morning Show mobile club for exclusive news. Reports have said that Kate Gosselin is worried that Jon might expose her toxic parenting on his own show with Hannah and Collin. It turns out that she needn’t have worried. Jon is against his kids appearing on film, and he doesn’t need a reality gig to expose Kate for what she is. Jon says that Kate is violating a court’s decision by having the kids film, all so that she can exploit them for money to fund her lifestyle. In 2018, the Department of Labor declined to grant Kate the permits that she and TLC wanted. Why? Because both the department and a judge concluded that it was not in the best interests of her minor children to film for Kate Plus 8 . And yet Kate and the network continued to film Kate’s (remaining) minor children, both at home and on location in North Carolina. Speaking to TheDailyMailTV , Jon Gosselin unloads his frustrations that his ex is breaking rules about their kids just to rake in more money. “I’m furious,” he expresses. “Absolutely furious.” “[The network] didn’t care,” Jon Gosselin laments. “It’s really upsetting that big businesses and big corporations go do whatever they want, against a parent’s legal right,” he despairs.. “The judge and the guardian ad litem both agreed that it wasn’t in my children’s best interests to be filmed,” Jon points out. A guardian ad litem is appointed by a judge to evaluate a child’s welfare as an outsider who then reports findings to a judge. Jon continues: “but my ex-wife and TLC had other ideas.” “They put profits and ratings ahead of the well-being of my children,” Jon accuses. He continues furiously: “and filmed illegally without work permits.” “They literally don’t care,” Jon says. “They’ll pay the fine.” He hates that “big business will do whatever they want to do because they have the money to pay all the fines.” Any crime or violation that is payable by fine, from parking to filming without a permit, just means legal for rich people . Remember that. “This is all about money,” Jon notes. “This is a fiduciary thing.” He accuses: “This has nothing to do with anything else other than Kate’s lifestyle, not the kids’ lifestyle.” “Go get a job,” he indirectly tells Kate. “Support your own family.” “It’s disgusting,” he bemoans. “My kids work for her lifestyle.” “Kate does nothing,” Jon continues. “Zero. Absolutely nothing.” in September, Jon spoke of how toxic and damaging a household Kate has built for the children still under her “care.” “I do know what [Kate’s] capable of, whether it’s mental or physical [abuse],” Jon stated grimly. The whole world has known for many years that Kate is a monster. Jon points out that Hannah and Collin left a lot behind just to escape. “I have two kids in my house who left a whole pile of money behind,” he noted. “They left fame and money and came to my house,” he emphasized. “They left it all behind.” He also says that, actually, none of his kids really want to be reality stars. “They have all said they have to film because they feel they need to provide a lifestyle for their mother,” Jon revealed. “They don’t want to film,” he claimed. “They said they have to film. That’s heartbreaking.” “Why do my kids need to provide for themselves?” he asks. “They’re kids.” That is an extremely fair question. A lot of terrible parents exploit their children for reality fame. Networks profit from it. One day, laws need to be passed to prevent this sort of thing, be it Gosselins or Duggars or Teen Moms. Source: Courtesy of OWN / Courtesy of OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network Greenleaf Actresses Talk About Their Character Development And Work Relationships Have you been watching Season 4 of “Greenleaf” on OWN ? We’ve been loving it so far. The acting is impeccable, especially from the legendary Lynn Whitfield who plays Lady Mae, the Church’s First Lady. We love ALL the ladies of “Greenleaf” though and that’s why our Sr. Content Director Janeé Bolden was so excited to sit with Deborah Joy Winans (Charity Greenleaf), Desiree Ross (Sophia Greenleaf), Merle Dandridge (Grace Greenleaf) and Lynn Whitfield (Lady Mae Greenleaf) at the start of the season. Check out the interview below: Janeé Bolden:So much has changed from Season 1 to Season 4, what are you most proud of in terms of your character’s development and what surprised you most, because so many allegiances have shifted? Lynn Whitfield: I think from where it started in the very beginning with Lady Mae being this really grand sidekick who kinda ran the show, but from behind, to now her really stepping into the role of not just running things as a wife but really feeling that she can save souls, really feeling that she has a calling on her life to actually preach. From where it started, because I don’t think it was ever even expected by the writers or anything, it just kind of evolved. It was just very surprising how the evolution of Lady Mae happened, and then I think also just the evolution where I never ever thought that we would lose the church, even temporarily. That never entered Lady Mae’s mind that there was a possibility of losing it. It was just always keeping all the superficial things straight and keeping it, so it really went to the wall with this one. Deborah Joy Winans: I think I just love watching Charity grow. I loved watching her walk through these trials. I loved her handling it not so great, because that’s real. I loved seeing her humanity. And this season I loved that she stands up for herself regardless of what anyone else things. Desiree Ross: Sophia has changed a lot of ways. If you watched the previous three seasons you know she’s had quite an arc. She started out atheist and then she was Christian, then she lost her ovaries, and then this season it’s kind of nice to see how she’s coping and kind of trying to deal with making sense of this world and why is this happening. I think she’s acting out of anger just a little bit, out of resentment and it’s been an interesting ride to say the least. But it’s definitely been fun watching her shift. She’s definitely growing and realizing the world is not as perfect as she made it out to be when she first found Christianity. Merle Dandridge: For Grace, I find her really searching for identity and purpose this season, because previously it had been about outside circumstances and how she’s going to put out this fire, or how she’s going to manage that or how she’s going to attack a situation, you know, whether it’s her business or not, she’s going to put her foot in it right? And now that she’s in the pulpit and she has slayed many of her demons, suddenly it becomes time for her to look within. When you are on the platform, you have to come with your heart bare and your conscience clean and her conscience is not clean, and some of her secrets and her skeletons come out and she has to contend with that. And in so doing, she clears out the extra cobwebs so that she can see clearly, ‘What has God purposed me for?’ And how is Grace going to, after she has mended these relationships with her family, how is she going to function normally, because they’ve never had that ‘Oh yeah, let’s come over for dinner.’ They never had that. Suddenly when we start to find a connection, a common purpose and we’re slaying a common enemy, how does that change their dynamic and who is she then? It’s very interesting to me, her growth, I think she’s become a little less hotheaded and a little more responsible for her own actions. Source: Janeé Bolden / Janeé Bolden Janeé Bolden: Desiree, as one of the younger cast members, what have you learned from your co-stars? Desiree Ross: I could say so many things that I’ve learned. I’ve learned to have fun. I guess on set when I started off I was kind of a perfectionist and I learned that it’s okay to make mistakes and to move past them and to try to do better next time. I learned to have fun from Lynn. Lynn Whitfield: Awww that’s so sweet. Desiree Ross: Merle, I don’t know how to describe. I work with Merle so much, she’s taught me so many different things. I think I learn a lot by watching her. The way she does everything, just the way she moves her eyes, it’s like perfect timing. She makes me feel really calm on set. So if something were ever to go wrong I feel good. And DJ, that’s my Auntie.(everyone laughs)That’s my Auntie. DJ really calms me. Desiree Ross: I think all of them kinda taught me. I feel like when you start off acting you come in a little stiff, and I think all three of you have taught me about messing with the character, don’t get too stuck, be able to move, be flexible with everything, and just to brighten up, have fun, you’ve taught me to look at multiple perspectives, not just looking from my own. Just from watching all the little nuances that you’ve added to your characters. I don’t know. There’s just so much. The last four years, there’s no limit to what I’ve learned. Deborah Joy Winans: We learned from you. Merle Dandridge: We love you as well. You’re just as open to us. Lynn Whitfield: That’s so sweet. Desiree Ross: And you know what else I’ve learned from them? That when you have good people around you, that’s really what you need. It’s very essential to keep really good people around you. To have a strong foundation. People that are uplifting you, people that are pushing you towards God, people that are pushing you to be better motivated and to just have more fun and enjoy your life. I feel like all of these women do that for me. Deborah Joy Winans: What a sweet little baby. Lynn Whitfield: A safe space. Desiree Ross: Yeah. They feel like my safe space. I love going to work. I love staying there even when I don’t have to be there. Love it! A new episode of “Greenleaf” airs tonight, Tuesday, October 1 at 10/9 c on OWN
Source: CBS Photo Archive / Getty Just when you thought the dust settled and the cast of The Real would be one big happy family, the drama continues. Tamar Braxton is still adversarial about her exit from the daytime talkshow and now she’s pulling up allegations and sharing them with the world. According to text messages between Braxton and an unknown source, The Real co-host Loni Love allegedly sent letters to try and get Braxton fired from the show. The whole reveal was prompted by Braxton’s appearance on The Wendy Williams show this week when she referred to her ex-castmates as “catty.” Wendy Williams didn’t help the situation when she called the show “cute” before saying that the show isn’t as good without Braxton’s presence. This prompted Love to reply on an episode of The Real just hours later, making it know that their “cute” show won a Daytime Emmy in 2018, something The Wendy Williams Show has yet to snag. “First of all, thank you for calling us a ‘cute’ show. We are also an Emmy-winning show. Don’t forget that,” Love said on Wednesday. Love also had a few words in response to Braxton calling the cast catty. On Wendy , Braxton said: “Here’s the thing. I don’t want to be anybody’s marketing tool this season, no shade. I just wish everybody well and I feel like sometimes God has to move you out of situations before you become more toxic to yourself. What if I was in a situation where I’m doing Braxton Family Values and very stressed and then I’m doing this other show where people are being catty behind my back. What kind of person would I be right now sitting on this couch? I wouldn’t be focused, I wouldn’t be ready for my transformation, I wouldn’t be ready for my elevation and that’s where I’ve gotta go. I’ve got to go up and up and up.” Despite her whole spiel, Love pointed out that Braxton made a now deleted social media apology to the cast of The Real just a couple of months ago, according to Page Six . It’s quite the turn to now call the cast “catty.” In an emotional response, Love said on The Real , “It’s been three years. I don’t know why you guys keep talking about this whole situation.” Love then went on to say that it was Braxton’s initial apology that prompted the cast to invite her to the show for season six. “You are still welcome right here too, and every time. It is not a big deal. Seriously, we as black women have to stick together. We as women have to stick together. It’s no pettiness. We need to have you come here so we can close the circle.” But it seems like that’s not going to happen because on Wednesday evening Braxton posted a now deleted text conversation with an unknown source who accused Loni Love of writing letters to the network to get Braxton fired. The source wrote, “Lonnie was writing the network on you I’m hearing this story,” to which Braxton replied, “I told everyone that it was her no one wanted to believe me.” Then, the source replied, “Yeah I got confirmation right now. Person who wrote and worked for her is spilling all the tea.” Later on in the text conversation, the unknown source wrote, “Cookie told me,” to which Tamar responded, “It’s the truth.” The source continued, “She said she was writing letters while you were in surgery.” This is when Tamar responded, “Losing that publicly almost took me out of here. Yep. In my death bed.” It’s not clear what Tamar was referring to when she said “losing that publicly,” but it’s most likely she’s talking about her The Real gig. Eventually, Love peeped the allegations and after a few back and forths, she commented on on of Braxton’s Instagram post, writing, “I know you are scared Tamar… but if you are going to accuse me of something do it to my face… but you can’t handle the truth.. I thought your apology was sincere.. that was why I wanted you to come on the show.. I can’t wait for your next funny meme..let’s go Sis!!!” The saga continues.

We are one week away from learning the identiy of the next Bachelor on ABC. The upcoming star of the 2020 season will be announced on the Bachelor in Paradise reunion special, which will air on September 17. But here’s the thing: We already know the identity of the next Bachelor on ABC. Thanks to a handful of The Bachelor spoilers , led by the ever-reliable Reality Steve, we can very safely announce that Peter Weber will be the man to walk across that stage in a few days. He’s best known for three things: Being perfectly nice and harmless. Having sex in a windmill four times in one night with Hannah Brown on The Bachelorette. Not being Mike Johnson. Indeed, everyone mostly likes Peter Weber. But almost everyone absolutely loves Mike Johnson. And that was before we found this photo of Johnson and a baby lamb… Immediately upon Brown giving Johnson the boot, fans started clamoring for him to take up the mantle of The Bachelor. He’s charming, he’s funny, he’s entertaining and, yes, he’s African-American. Diversity is a good thing, right? Now, however, we’ve come to find out that Johnson was never even contacted by ABC executives for the gig. NEVER! NOT ONCE! This is both crushing and also confounding. Every year, Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss claims that selecting each season’s leading man is a difficult choice and that the network has a number of options to consider… … and then every year The Bachelor just chooses the second or third-place finisher from the previous season of The Bachelorette — who is always white, of course. It’s easy to object and to take issue with this pattern, but the following fact is also an easy one for producers to point to: Ratings go up almost every single year. Prior to The Bachelor spoilers revealing that Weber will be the pick, Johnson told Entertainment Tonight that he totally understands why Peter might end up with the job. “I think Peter looks the part… when he gets a 5 o’clock shadow, he looks good too,” Johnson told this outlet, seemingly making a reference to Weber’s skin color and adding: “I think that Peter’s family is terrific. I’ve hung out with his brother, he’s awesome. “His mom, you know, he’s got a little Spanish flair. I think that Peter and his family are just great.” And in another veiled shot at Weber, Johnson continued: “He’d be a safe Bachelor, meaning that he won’t do anything crazy obnoxious. I think it’d be a good, safe, clean season if he were the Bachelor.” The only upside here, of course, is that Johnson is now free to pursue Demi Lovato . But we still would have preferred to have seen him leading the way this January. Ever diplomatic in chat with ET, Johnson concluded as follows: “I will say this — I do think the show has worked hard to increase diversity in its casting and is continuing to evolve. “And as it evolves, we’ll continue to see more diversity from the franchise.” View Slideshow: Peter Weber as The Bachelor: A Nation Reacts!

Khloe Kardashian’s ex has found happiness! No, not Tristan Thompson , the other equally terrible one — Lamar Odom. Lamar, who was legally married to Khloe for seven years, has made it super known that he has moved on and has found love with new GF — health and life coach Sabrina Parr! The two began speculating romance rumors after TMZ captured videos of them making out in public, but it was pretty much confirmed later on after they decided to go Instagram official on us. A source, however, quickly made a rather odd allegation against the new couple, telling People that whatever was going on between them was “fake.” “They are not dating,” the source said. “There is nothing romantic going on with Sabrina and Lamar. It’s fake.” But Odom, who has been extremely vocal about his “new woman” on social media, shut down the reports right away. And now, he is speaking out about his relationship with Parr. On Friday, the former NBA player sat down with his girlfriend for an interview with Dish Nation where he was asked about his new romance, as well as his highly publicized marriage to Khloe. Odom was with the reality star from 2009 until 2016, though the two actually split three years earlier due to his partying habits, drug overdose, and insane (!!) amount of affairs, which he opened up about in his book ” Darkness to Light”. But despite their continuous support and love for one another, it looks like that train has officially left the station. During a “Rapid Fire” segment of the interview, Odom was asked about his feelings for the 35-year-old Kardashian. “I’ve definitely moved on,” he said. (ok, but new girl was sitting right there so of course he had to say that, right?) But when he was asked if the Kardashian family put him under a “spell” (lol) he reacted perfectly and with grace. “Hell no,” he said immediately. “I’m here and I’m alert. I’m present. “I knew what I was getting myself into,” he added. “They always did right by me.” The conversation moved away from Khloe because awkward . .. but he didn’t hold anything back when it came to his current life with Parr. “What makes this relationship different from previous relationships?” host Gary Hayes asked. Odom said: “It’s the truth. She’s black.” “When a black woman comes along, ain’t playing,” Hayes joked, then Parr added, “Oh no, I was not playing at all.” “Yeah, she keeps it real,” Odom gushed. Hayes then went on to question Parr, asking her how on earth she was able to give Lamar ” a chance”, despite his rough past with sex and drug addiction, as well as his near-fatal overdose in 2015 . Odom spoke first and said “Sometimes pain, I think, attracts women. The pain I’ve been through.” But Parr had a different, more understandable answer. “That wasn’t my story, I wasn’t attracted to the pain and the drama,” she said. “You have to meet people where they are.” “He was never in a position to be someone’s husband, you know?” the life coach added. “He was sick, he needed to heal, he neede to grieve. He experienced a lot of losses. And he never had time to go through that.” Well, it sounds like these two could actually be good for each other. So… here’s to a happy & healthy future for Lammy!
