Jay Adams, an iconic skate boarder who was portrayed by Emile Hirsch in the movie Lords of Dogtown, died late last night in Mexico. He was 53 years old. Insiders tell TMZ that Adams passed away of an apparent heart attack while on vacation with his wife and two children. They had been on an extended three-month holiday when the tragedy struck. Adams had reportedly been sober for months and had no history of heart problems. The extreme athlete had been in and out of prison since the early 1980s on a variety of drug charges.
