Not to be alarmist or anything, but if watching this baby giraffe stand up for the first time doesn’t melt your heart, you might want to check yourself for a pulse: Baby Giraffe Tries to Stand The baby calf’s mom, Petal, is a 6-year-old endangered Rothschild giraffe living at the LEO Zoological Conservation Center in Greenwich, Connecticut. She gave birth earlier that morning. Not wasting any time! Both she and the youngster are doing well, though we’re not sure how he’s going to feel about this video once he’s an adolescent giraffe. Embarrassing!
