Not to be alarmist or anything, but if watching this baby giraffe stand up for the first time doesn’t melt your heart, you might want to check yourself for a pulse: Baby Giraffe Tries to Stand The baby calf’s mom, Petal, is a 6-year-old endangered Rothschild giraffe living at the LEO Zoological Conservation Center in Greenwich, Connecticut. She gave birth earlier that morning. Not wasting any time! Both she and the youngster are doing well, though we’re not sure how he’s going to feel about this video once he’s an adolescent giraffe. Embarrassing!

With Matt Lauer facing unending criticism, and the decision to sloppily fire Ann Curry still reverberating around NBC, Today has lost its stranglehold in the ratings game. Led by George Stephanopoulos and a returning Robin Roberts , Good Morning America is on top for the first time on ages, while Charlie Rose, Gayle King and Norah O’Donnell are pretty much just hanging out at CBS. True Blood Season 6: First Promo!

With True Blood Season 6 scheduled to premiere on June 16, HBO will premiere the first trailer for this major return prior to tonight’s Game of Thrones Season 3 opener.
