Matt and Amy Roloff are getting divorced. The Little People, Big World stars and parents of four say they are packing it in after 27 years of marriage. “After 27 years of marriage, it is with great sadness that we have come to the difficult decision to file for divorce,” the duo said in a statement. “We are proud of what we have accomplished together, including raising four wonderful children who have grown to become remarkable adults.” Despite that and a long history of overcoming personal obstacles and “building our strong and ongoing successful business,” they say it’s over . The news was a long time coming; Matt and Amy Roloff separated in 2014, while co-parenting and co-running the family farm in Oregon. “Last year, it was long and tough,” Matt said by way of explanation on the couple’s TLC reality show. “Amy and I had a lot of tensions.” So he decided on a trial separation, saying: “Right around Thanksgiving, I thought I would move over to the [guest] house for a little bit.” “Amy and I stuck it out for years when maybe we shouldn’t have. I never quite felt at home in my own home, so something needed to change.” Amy added that they never really learned to live together. “It’s not my choice for him to leave,” she admitted. “I am deeply saddened by it. It’s been 26 years. We don’t have a plan for how we’re going to work this out, so it’s not going to be easy.” They put up a united front at son Jeremy Roloff and Audrey Mirabella Botti ‘s wedding last fall, but their problems were insurmountable. “Our kids and our ever growing family, and the love and support we have for them, will be our priority,” the paid said in their statement. “We would like to thank our family, friends and all of our fans for their continued support and understanding during this difficult time.” View Slideshow: Celebrity Breakups of 2015
