28 Children Injured In China Kindergarten Attack

A man with a knife attacked a kindergarten in eastern China and injured 28 children and 3 adults. This is the third attack in a month. Officials revealed that 5 of the injured were in a critical condition after the incident in Jiangsu province. The alleged assailant in kindergarten attack was detained afterwards. The attacker was a 47-year-old unemployed local man and had been carrying a 20cm (8in) knife. The man attacked the gate-keeper, teachers and student. Those injured received treatment in hospital. The Taixing city government hasn’t receive any reports of death yet. Most of the children were four years old from the same class. Doctors were trying their best to save them. Another knife attack follows on Wednesday in the south of the country, where 16 pupils and 1 teacher were injured. A doctor who was convicted of stabbing 8 children to death last month in Fujian province has been executed earlier that day. China has witnessed many school attacks in recent years.
