Celebrating The Birthday Of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Today we celebrate the birthday of historic Civil Rights Movement pioneer and one of the most highly regarded leaders ever to grace the pages of American history, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. While many of the very things that Dr. King fought tirelessly against are still alive and well in America today, African-Americans in every right from entertainment, to politics, to sports, to every day citizens have made amazing progress that won’t soon be overlooked. So today in honor of Dr. King, who would have been 84 years old today, let’s take a look at just a few positive African- American milestones throughout the various industries the last 5 years that would not have been possible without the leadership, perseverance, and influence of this great man.
