A former MLB All-star and a dominican pitcher died at the age of 37. Jose Lima, a former MLB All-star is dead according to ESPN news. In which was comfirmed by Los Angeles Dodgers. Lima died Sunday morning at his home in Los Angeles caused by a heart attack according to his wife, Dorca Astacio. “Jose was complaining while sleeping and I just thought he was having a nightmare,” Astacio told ESPNdeportes.com. “I called the paramedics, but they couldn’t help him. Lima’s body would be released on Wednesday according to Los Angeles Police Department’s forensic unit. Lima’s family told ESPNdeportes.com that he would be buried in the Dominican Republic. No one has ever expected that as healthy as him, he could die that early. Lima was selected to the All-star Game with Houston in 1999,when he won a career-high 21 games. When Lima went 0-4 in four games pitched, he wasnt able to return to the major leauges after released by Mets. According to the Astros president of baseball operations Tal Smith, Lima was certainly one of the most entertaining personalities to ever don an Astros uniform. According to the former Astro Craig Biggio, a teammate of Lima’s “Everyone will remember Jose for his antics on the mound,” said , according to the team’s website. “But he was a tremendous teammate and a great competitor.
