By Gil Kaufman Lindsay Lohan Photo: Scott Wintrow/ Getty Images An arrest warrant could be issued on Thursday (May 20) in Los Angeles for troubled actress Lindsay Lohan if she misses a mandatory court appearance for a progress report on her probation stemming from two 2007 arrests. According to Los Angeles’ ABC7, Lohan lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley said her client is stuck in France because her passport was stolen while she was attending the Cannes Film Festival. The actress has been photographed attending parties in Cannes, Holley said Lohan had attempted to board a plane to L.A. on Tuesday but was turned away without her passport. The lawyer said that Lohan has an appointment on Thursday to visit the American embassy to apply for a replacement passport. Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel had ordered the 23-year-old actress to appear in a Beverly Hills courtroom for the progress hearing. In accordance with standard procedure for missed court dates, a bench warrant could be issued if Lohan does not make it. Lohan has been on probation since pleading guilty in August 2007 to two misdemeanor counts of being under the influence of cocaine, no contest to two counts of driving with a blood-alcohol level above 0.08 percent and one count of reckless driving. Her probation was extended for another year in October after Lohan struggled to comply with court-mandated terms of her sentence, and prosecutors have warned that she faces jail time if she violated probation again. In February, Revel said Lohan was making “good progress” completing her probation. The Associated Press reported that no court records indicate that the “Mean Girls” star has ever failed a drug or alcohol test. Numerous reports have surfaced in the past week on sites such as TMZ claiming that Lohan has not completed the mandated number of alcohol-education classes. But in a video interview with Hollywood.tv posted online Monday, Lohan said she’s “been in compliance more than ever” with the terms of her probation and could complete the remaining classes in “about two and a half weeks.” Do you think Lindsay Lohan has a shot at a career comeback after setbacks like this?
