We’ve got another creative tribute to Robin Williams to share with readers. Yesterday, we posted an awesome video of a sports anchor dropping 23 references to the late actor in a creative two-minute segment – and now we’re excited to pass along the following footage. It features James Monroe Iglehart – who won a Tony Award this year for his portrayal of Genie in Aladdin – leading the cast of this Broadway production (as well as the audience) in a rousing version of “Friend Like Me.” The role, of course, was originated on screen by Williams and this sing-along is the perfect way to honor one of the greatest entertainers in history. A coroner has confirmed that Williams used his belt to hang himself and died from asphyxia . In the days since, actors and actresses from movies and television have released moving statements in memory of Williams, while America has engaged in a discussion about mental illness and how others who suffer from it can avoid this same sad fate as this Oscar winner.
