Simone Battle, a former contestant on The X Factor and a member of the all-girls group G.R.L., was found dead in her Los Angeles home yesterday. She was 25 years old. The artist signed with G.R.L (a reboot of The Pussycat Dolls) following a run to the Top 17 on the U.S. version of Simon Cowell’s reality competition in 2011. Battle’s father tells TMZ his daughter’s body discovery in the bedroom of her apartment in a West Hollywood neighborhood. Law enforcement officials also say Simone was tragically found hanging on a rod in the closet of her bedroom around 8:30 AM on Friday. They believe she took her own life.
