Shook Ones: Khloe Kardashian Considers Filing Restraining Order Against Spiraling Lamar Odom

Khloe Kardashian May File For Restraining Order Against Lamar Odom For Harassment Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom have been doing the divorce dance for several years now. Following his overdose in Las Vegas last year, some thought that the two might reconcile after Khloe nursed him back to health. But according to RadarOnline , it appears that love has been replaced with fear… Khloe Kardashian has finally decided to walk away from her marriage to Lamar Odom, but convincing the former basketball star their relationship’s over hasn’t been very easy. “He’s totally lost it, calling her every name under the sun and yelling at her for breaking promises she made to him on his death bed,” an insider told RadarOnline.com. “It’s pretty vicious,” continued the insider, noting 36-year-old Odom, who nearly died after an overdose at a Nevada brothel last fall, “has been bombarding her with bitter texts and drunken rambling messages that are starting to scare her.” Sounds like ol’ Lammy Lam-Lam is back up to his old tricks… The situation has escalated so much that Kardashian is now looking into all her options, including legally keeping her ex away. “She’s now considering a restraining order against him because he’s been threatening all kinds of crazy things, from spilling all her secrets to hoping she drops dead,” revealed the insider. Lamar Odom is a drug-addict. The only person who can help him at this point is himself. Hopefully he gets it together, he might not be so lucky next time… Image via WENN/Splash

How The Tables Turn: New Poll Finds That Most Black People Now Think O.J. Simpson Was Guilty

Most Black People Think OJ Is Guilty As everyone who was old enough to recall 1995 (and all those who caught The People Vs. O.J. Simpson ) know, back in the 90’s you couldn’t even TRY to convince the average Black American that The Juice was guilty of chopping up his ex-wife and her suspected lover. But now, a new study shows that that outlook has changed, and most Black people pretty much concede that OJ is as guilty as sin. The filmmaker responsible for O.J.’s upcoming 30 For 30 special breaks it down, via FiveThirtyEight : A striking poll finding was cited often in coverage of the O.J. Simpson murder trial in 1994 and 1995: Most white people thought the former football star was guilty of killing his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman, while roughly the same proportion of black people thought Simpson was innocent. The racial gap in public opinion was one of many elements of the case — along with a long history of conflict between the Los Angeles Police Department and the city’s black residents, and racist statements made by LAPD Detective Mark Fuhrman — that showed race was as important as glove size and forensic evidence. In the two decades since Simpson was acquitted by a majority-black jury, the racial gap has narrowed significantly. In two recent polls, more than 50 percent of black respondents said they thought Simpson was guilty — up from about 20 percent in most polls before, during and right after the trial. The more recent polls were conducted in 2014 and 2015, before the case returned to the public eye this year thanks to two high-profile television series: FX’s “The People v. O.J. Simpson” and ESPN Films’ “O.J.: Made in America.” (ESPN owns FiveThirtyEight.) Both series leave the impression that Simpson killed Brown Simpson and Goldman; he has said he is innocent. Why the shift? Developments in the murder trial and events in Simpson’s life probably have played a role. Changes in demographics and race relations may also have contributed to shifting black opinion about the case. Here’s a chart to illustrate the point a bit: Interesting! Honestly, with all the new evidence that came forward after the circus that was his criminal trial, his RIDICULOUS book idea, and of course the increase in information available about the events leading up to and following Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman’s murders…it’s only natural that nowadays Black people see things quite a bit differently than they did in that climate. Do YOU still think OJ was innocent? Splash

Leave The Juice Alone: No DNA Discovered On Mystery Knife Found Buried Under O.J. Simpson’s House

No DNA Found On Suspected O.J. Simpson Murder Weapon It turns out the LAPD didn’t discover the knife that killed Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman 21 years after it would have mattered after all. Despite suspicions that a potential murder weapon was found on O.J.’s property a few years after the trial and randomly kept under wraps for another 18 years…DNA evidence to link it to the murders is unsurprisingly nonexistent. Via TMZ : LAPD detectives hit a dead end with the knife that was buried on O.J. Simpson’s Rockingham estate … TMZ has learned. Sources familiar with the situation tell us, the DNA testing produced no matches. We’re told the microbes in the soil degraded any DNA to the point it was impossible to get a meaningful result. We’re also told there was no hair or other sample that produced a lead. TMZ broke the story … a construction worker found the buck knife with a 5″ blade buried on the perimeter of the property and gave it to a retired LAPD cop who was doing traffic control for a movie shoot. The cop took it home and put it in his tool box for more than a dozen years. The LAPD has not announced the results, but we’re told the investigation is over. Fact is … it’s impossible to know for sure if this was the murder knife, but it is interesting it appears to have been buried long enough to degrade any DNA. Hey…murder weapon or not, it isn’t O.J.’s fault the LAPD couldn’t manage to find this piece of potential evidence until it was too late, and couldn’t manage to even test it to see until two decades after the fact. Either way, that’s that. Splash

R.I.P. Man Who Risked His Life By Identifying Emmett Till’s Killers Passes Away At Age 76

R.I.P. Willie Reed! Your bravery will not be forgotten. One of the witnesses who testified against Emmett Till’s killers has passed away at age 76. Via ABC Local reports : A Chicago man who was one of the last remaining witnesses of what many call the “spark of the civil rights movement” has died. Willie Reed was 18 years old when he witnessed the murder of Emmett Till in Mississippi. Reed moved to Chicago after the trial. He told prosecutors that he saw the two men charged with Till’s murder driving a truck with the boy in the back, and then later heard screams coming from a nearby barn. Despite fearing for his life, Reed came forward and testified at trial. “He said even though he was scared, he had to testify, he had to tell what he saw,” said Julie Louis, Willie Reed’s wife. When Willie Reed moved to Chicago, he changed his name to Willie Louis. He was 76. A memorial service is planned for Wednesday. May he rest in peace! God bless him. WLS

G. Dep, Ex-Bad Boy Rapper, Found Guilty Of Murder

He faces 15 years to life in prison when he’s sentenced May 8. By Nadeska Alexis G. Dep Photo: Denise Truscello/ WireImage Former Bad Boy rapper G. Dep, born Trevell Coleman, was convicted of second-degree murder in New York on Tuesday (April 17) following a trial that began after Coleman admitted to killing a man in 1993 during a botched robbery attempt. In late 2010, Coleman came forward to confess that he’d shot a man , identified by police as John Henkel, nearly two decades earlier in Harlem. According to Coleman’s story, he attempted to rob a man on a Harlem corner, then shot him and rode off on a bicycle, not knowing whether the victim had survived. Opening statements in the trial were made last week, on April 10, and one day later, Coleman dropped a bombshell on prosecutors by changing up his story . He claimed that while he did shoot someone, it was not Henkel. Despite the change in story, the prosecution stood firm, contending that Henkel was the only victim who fit the details of Coleman’s confession. “Eighteen years ago, the defendant made a calculated decision to steal from, shoot and kill an innocent person on the street,” Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr. said in a statement. Trevell Coleman is expected to face a minimum sentence of 15 years to life in prison on May 8. After the jury delivered a guilty verdict for the 37-year-old, defense lawyer Anthony Ricco praised his client’s efforts to be honest. “He has a conscience and a heart, and his conscience and his heart brought him to where he is today,” Ricco told reporters after the trial. “He’s probably making the most powerful statement a rapper of his era can make, which is to be accountable and to do the right thing.” Coleman saw a brief rise to fame beginning in 1998 with an appearance on “The Mall” from Gang Starr’s Moment of Truth album. Later that year he signed to Diddy’s Bad Boy Records, and in 2001 he dropped his debut album, Child of the Ghetto, which spawned the hit single “Special Delivery.” Still, the album failed to be a commercial success, and although he followed up with the 2004 mixtape The Deputy: The Sheriff Is Back in Town Volume 1, a slew of arrests, ranging from drug charges to grand larceny, put an end to his career for good.
