Katrina Darling, burlesque dancer and cousin of the Duchess of Cambridge, leaves little to the imagination in a photo spread for Loaded magazine. Or ever. Let’s be honest, this has sort of become her thing. She’s all good with being naked. “I feel very comfortable.” The same can’t be said for her cousin’s topless photos , but that’s okay. Is Sean Lowe the best star of The Bachelor in its storied history? Best is a subjective term, of course, but many viewers of the long-running reality show (17 seasons!) seem to think so, and the reasons why are manifold. For the past few seasons, the show has become more about The Bachelor spoilers and watching insane drama play out than about the quest for love. At least in the weeks between the premiere and hometown dates, it’s been mostly forgettable, however Sean Lowe is doing his best to change that. Passed over for being too perfect by Emily Maynard and dismissed by some fans early on for being too boring, the 29-year-old may in fact be the real deal. First and foremost, he’s a genuinely good guy. You can say that about a lot of people, sure … but a lot of Bachelor stars? Stories of Sean’s good deeds are more numerous than his shirtless photos. He’s never had an unkind word to say about anyone, and week after week, he appears more in more invested in handing out roses to find a wife. Even when it comes to tweaking the show’s dating rules to be more inclusive to the women, Sean’s looking out for others as well as looking for love. Those little things go a long way. The Bachelor Mid-Season Preview He’s also genuinely into a lot of the girls on the show. That could be a problem down the road, of course, but for now it’s endearing to say the least. AshLee Frazier, Desiree Hartsock, Catherine Giudici, Lesley Murphy, Lindsay Yenter, Sarah Herron, Selma Alameri … even crazy Tierra LiCausi . He seems like he’s genuinely falling for all of the above, or at least open to the idea. That makes for a more compelling season right off the bat. Part of the credit goes to the casting office for bringing on such a varied, diverse group of women to vie for Sean’s affections and injure themselves. Sorry, Tierra. You asked for that one babes. The Death Star, undoubtedly a worthwhile undertaking but not on the Obama administration’s radar, is now on Kickstarter if you want to help build one. A recent White House Death Star petition was denied, citing Obama’s “we don’t blow up planets” political stance and the potential fiscal nightmare. Now, a new Kickstarter project wants to pick up those plans, using an open source design effort and trying to raise funding to help make it happen. A LOT of funding. The project has a $30,000,000 funding goal, which would be used to create “more detailed plans” than the initial design the team currently has . Yes … 30 million just to design the thing. No one said it would be easy, or that the potential defense system is without flaws. As we know, a single X-Wing fighter can basically defeat the thing. If the Kickstarter project reaches its long-term goal – $850,000,000,000,000,000 – plans will actually be put to use building a full-scale, working Death Star. They hope to have the project up and running by December 2015. Lindsey Vonn is in rough shape, but the four-time world champion will be okay. Vonn crashed during a run today in Austria, mistiming her jump landing and sliding all the way into the boundary gate before coming to a stop. She was treated on the slope for approximately 12 minutes before a helicopter swooped in and took Vonn to a nearby hospital. But an insider tells Us Weekly the rumored Tiger Woods girlfriend is “banged up but fine. She’s been teeing people.” According to U.S. Ski Team Medical Director Kyle Wilkens, Vonn suffered a torn ACL and MCL in her right knee, along with a lateral tibial plateau fracture. She has since been released from the doctors’ care, but surgery is almost definite and she is out for the season. The Olympic gold medalist is hoping to return for the 2013-14 World Cup and next February’s Winter Olympics in Soch.
