We sat down to talk with a real hip hop legend, Ice Cube: Bossip : Cube, we are big fans of your whole persona and how you stayed true throughout the years… How’d you do it? Cube : It’s really about, trying to… reinvent, not yourself. Reinvent your approach to getting people to understand what you’re about. In each stage of my career, I’ve always tried to keep the audience I had from the jump. So, even with trying to reinvent myself like on Are We There Yet, people need to understand it’s a movie and my real fans knew that and understood. What comes up must come down… so I refuse to go up. If I keep my feet on the ground… I don’t have to worry about going up or down.
