Amtrack Apologizes After 183 Passengers Are Left Stranded On Train For 40 Hours

Source: DuKai photographer / Getty Amtrack Passengers Left Stranded For 40 Hours Amtrack is issuing an apology to passengers who went through a scary situation on one of their locomotives. Passengers traveling to Seattle, Washington from Portland, Oregon were stuck on the tracks since Sunday when their train hit a tree that had fallen on the tracks. NBC reports that the passengers were stuck for nearly 40 hours and complained of panic attacks and screaming babies. “There has been so little communication from Amtrak. I am very disappointed,” said Kim Shelton who was stuck onboard with her daughter and spoke to “Today.” We’ve had two people have anxiety, heart-related issues. We have just had to take care of each other. There has been no help from outside.” Kim Shelton, one of the 183 passengers and crew members trapped on board a stalled Amtrak train in Oregon for 36 hours and counting, joins TODAY by phone to recount the harrowing experience. pic.twitter.com/iR6JdhJXsg — TODAY (@TODAYshow) February 26, 2019 None of the 183 passengers on board were hurt and Amtrak expressed regret over the incident. *UPDATE* At Least 20 Injured 1 Dead At South Florida High School Shooting, Gunman Arrested

Image via Getty Active Shooter At South Florida High School **NEW UPDATE** MSNBC is reporting that there are at least 14 victims in this shooting. We’re still awaiting word on how many are injuries vs. fatalities. **UPDATE** The police have arrested a man who appears to be the shooter. Officers were in search of a white male wearing a burgundy sweatshirt the MSNBC cameras show a man of that description being arrested now. Still no exact number of injuries or deaths, but “a number of fatalities” is the early report at this time. Another school shooting is currently happening at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida according to CNN . Police are evacuating students as we speak but many are still hiding inside their classrooms. JUST IN: Local Coral Springs, FL police confirm that they are responding to an 'active shooter' pic.twitter.com/2mHKRhZrJX — MSNBC (@MSNBC) February 14, 2018 Students are seen walking outside with their hands held high so as not to confuse itchy-trigger fingered police officers who are searching for the shooter. The songstress who’s expecting her first child with husband Dana Isaiah revealed the harrowing news on Instagram in a somber post. Jordin lost two friends; Leah Belle & Rasual who died tragically in that car crash , her stepsister Bryanna who passed away from sickle cell complications and her cousin Q. “Four Angels in a week, my heart is just so heavy & broken,” wrote Sparks on Instagram. “Don’t ever skip a chance to tell someone you appreciate them or how much you love them.” This is all so incredibly sad, we’re sending best wishes and prayers Jordin’s way.

Vanishing of the Bees follows commercial beekeepers David Hackenberg and Dave Mendes as they strive to keep their bees healthy and fulfill pollination contracts across the U.S. The film explores the struggles they face as the two friends plead their case on Capital Hill and travel across the Pacific Ocean in the quest to protect their honeybees. Filming across the US, in Europe, Australia and Asia, this documentary examines the alarming disappearance of honeybees and the greater meaning it holds about the relationship between mankind and mother earth.
