For this year’s festivities, 21 is partnering with Amazon Music, Leading by Example Foundation, and Momma Flystyle for the event that takes place on Sunday, August 4. Since his rise to stardom, 21 Savage has made an effort to continually give back to his community as much as he can. The purpose of his annual back-to-school drive is to giveaway school uniforms, school supplies, and free haircuts for both boys and girls before the start of the new year. Before last year’s back-to-school drive, the rapper spoke with VIBE on the importance of helping his community in Atlanta. When talking the about the event, 21 said, “I went to school in Dekalb and Gwinnett County. This is important since we didn’t have this as kids.” His co-manager Meezy added, “It takes being from here to understand what is needed. The Academy-award nominated director announced on Instagram that he will be wrapping the FOX series up with a “movie of the week.” “We’re going to make something real special for you to scream about with all of our cast members — even the dead ones.” He teased that the finale movie will be a “two hour GAG!” Text “RICKEY” to 71007 to join the Rickey Smiley Morning Show mobile club for exclusive news. Daniels promised that the original cast would be returning for the TV flick including Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady, Jude Demorest, Queen Latifah, Brandy, Amiyah Scott and Quincy Brown. After premiering back in December of 2016, Star lasted three seasons. The ratings were satisfactory during its time, but ratings dropped 11 percent during the third season. After it was decided by network execs that Empire would be prioritized because it was going into its last season, Star was axed from the lineup. “We looked at our priorities and were trying to prioritize giving Empire the send-off it deserves,” FOX Entertainment CEO Charlie Collier told Deadline . “The move [of Empire ] to 9 p.m, made it a challenge because Star was always the lead-out from Empire and obviously we don’t have the 10 p.m hour, so it was another tough choice in a year where we were prioritizing Empire and obviously some of the other shows that we’ve put on the schedule.” After its cancellation, Daniels pitched Star to Amazon, BET and OWN but he was unsuccessful. The Empire spinoff had the highest ratings of canceled series for this TV season. The Queen Latifah led show followed three talented singers ( Jude Demorest , Ryan Destiny & Brittany O’Grady ) looking for to make a career for themselves in the cutthroat music industry. In his new memoir, Lamar Odom admits to cheating on Khloe Kardashian a lot and even threatening to kill her on at least one occasion . And yet… … in a new interview to promote said memoir, Odom says he and his ex-wife still get along pretty well and aren’t merely in touch — but were very recently just in touch. Speaking with Jenny McCarthy on her SiriusXM show on Wednesday, Odom revealed his Kardashian texted him just the day before, not long after the memoir’s release. “Um, she sent me a text yesterday,” Odom told McCarthy after he was asked if he knew how Khloe felt about the book. He continued in this response: “She good, she talked about one of the stories I told in the book. About her coming to the hotel and putting her hands on the girl. She said she didn’t even think I remembered that story.” Really?!? Khloe thought Lamar would forget about the time that she arrived at his hotel room and caught him cheating with a stripper and she nearly strangled the poor girl to death ? Someone would need to be really high or f-cked up in some way to forget that this happened and… … oh, right, nevermind. Odom has been on a whirlwind press tour over the past several days, talking up the biography “Darkness to Light,” which documents in many years of infidelity and drug use. In one of his craziest statements, Odom even claimed that he never overdosed in Nevada… but rather that a hit was put on his life and that’s why he ended up in the hospital. Bizarre. Lamar says his most recent exchange with Khloe was “friendly,” despite many of the things he wrote about their relationship in his book. For example, Odom claimed he “had broken my vows with Khloe so many times” before Kardashian started checking his Black Card statements. One night, he said she tracked his movements to the Hotel Roosevelt in Hollywood, where he was shacked up with two strippers and quite a few drugs. Around midnight, he writes, there was a “pounding” at the door — and on the other side was Khloe, Kris Jenner and their security team. “Khloe opened the door and pounced on the first girl she saw,” says Lamar. Whoa there! “Try to imagine the scene: Khloe’s beating the shit out of one of the girls who tried to protest. She’s dropping vicious blows all over the top of this girl’s head,” he claims, and then he elaborates: “Kris is screaming and her security guard jumps in and pulls Khloe off the beaten stripper. Khloe tells me to gather up my things, and the guards quickly remove all traces of the drugs. “We sneak out of a back door of the Roosevelt and disappear into the night.” Talking to McCarthy, Odom said he hopes that he and his wife four years continue to keep the lines of communication open. “The next house I buy, hopefully she can decorate it,” he said. “They’re amazing decorators, they’re amazing homemakers.” View Slideshow: Lamar Odom: 17 Most Bat$hit Crazy Bombshells from His Memoir In conclusion? Lamar clearly wants another shot with Khloe . “She’s an incredible person and she’ll always have a place in my heart and be dear to me,” he told McCarthy, also calling her the love of his life. “She’s extremely courageous and tough and strong.”
Congratulations are in order for Ashley Benson and Cara Delevingne. No, the female celebrities are not engaged; nor did they suddenly get up and elope. But photographic evidence now exists that depicts the actress and the model moving an expensive sex bench into the apartment they share in West Hollywood. So, yeah. Like we said: Congratulations you two! Based on social media accounts and photos of the incident, Benson and Delevinge were laughing up a storm while they carried this item through the front gate. The product, which Jezebel identifies as the $384 Obedience Extreme Sex Bench with Restraint Straps, also has an upgrade that costs $438: the Dicktator Extreme Sex Machine. According to the manufacturer, the bench is to “act out dark fantasies” or “prepare for intense impact play scenes.” The “heavy duty piece of sex furniture” also has comfortable padding and an ergonomically shaped bench… which is a nice side benefit. This means tha neither star is likely to hurt her back while using the bench for its intended purposes. “You will even be able to go deeper than ever before!” the description reads. “The U-shaped headrest won’t muffle their moans and squeals as you play.” The bench currently only has 3.5 stars on Amazon, however. We’ve reached out to Delevingne and Benson for comment, but they have no idea who we are and we can’t imagine that they’d want to discuss their sex life with a celebrity gossip website. So we doubt we’ll be hearing from them any time soon. Delevingne and Benson have been dating for about a year. They haven’t talked much about their romance in any interviews or on Instagram or anything — but Delevingne has been very open about her sex life in general. “I used to go to clubs but I’d rather have sex than go out now,” she said in March, adding that the best “gift” she could give would be was physical affection to someone else. “I’m very good at giving love and not at receiving it,” she added. “I find it quite difficult to receive pleasure and love and things like that, so I love to give.” The model has described herself as sexually fluid and said in this same interview that she’s “very submissive with men,” but acts the “opposite” way with women in bed. Delevingne kept going and going on this subject, too. “Part of sex – that connection – is feral. You meet someone but when you go in the bedroom, it’s another animal,” she said. “To me, that is so interesting. There are certain people who are super-sexy and they flirt with you, then you have sex with them and they are terrible.” She continued: “But I like people who seem really prudish then, when they get to the bedroom, they’re like, ‘What?!’ It’s like a whole transformation.” Delevingne never mentioned Benson by name in this interview. But it sounds – and looks , based on that photo above – as if things are going very well. “I can allow pleasure but it’s hard to find that person. I have found them before, sure,” Delevingne said in March. “That whole courting process of power is very interesting. And it’s a difference with men and women.”
