Danielle Staub and Olivier Maier: It’s Over! Already!

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Danielle Staub got engaged to Olivier Maier after just weeks of dating, and just months after her last divorce. On Monday, just days after their engagement, they were scheduled to be married — but wisely postponed. Now, it turns out that the two have already broken up . This is … absolutely nuts. Danielle Staub met Olivier Maier late last year through a mutual friend who was dating him at the time. In late February, just months after her split from Martey Caffrey and just a few days after that divorce was finalized, she revealed that she was dating Olivier. Days later, the couple announced that they were engaged. This was Danielle’s twenty-first-engagement. They weren’t messing around about taking things slow, either, and set their wedding date for Monday — by which we mean March 4. But Danielle wisely postponed the wedding … and that’s not all. According to what a source tells Us Weekly , Danielle and Olivier have broken up. That wedding postponement just became permanent. From start to finish, Danielle’s latest relationship lasted just six weeks. While some of her fans were happy to see her move on … and had hoped that a new man might pay off her debts or even buy her a new home. Instead, it appears that he never even bought her a wedding ring when the two went shopping over the weekend. To no one’s surprise, Marty Caffrey has something to say about all of this. In a statement to Us Weekly , Marty has responded to his ex wife’s newest breakup. “I wish, and will always wish, [for] Danielle to achieve true love and happiness,” Marty says. He continues: “I fell in love with her, remember?” “And although I divorced her last August,” Marty notes. “This still troubles me.” Marty also says that he saw this outcome a mile away. Danielle, who has now been engaged twenty-one times and married four times, apparently did not. Marty admits: “I had early suspicions and doubts about the sincerity about this St. Barts nonsense.” He is referring to the photo of the two of them kissing. “Olivier and Danielle would serve themselves well by putting their feet on the ground and staying there forever,” he suggests. However, he predicts: “I doubt either can.” Marty then reveals that Olivier was dating Gina Curko when he and Danielle met. Though Olivier previously insisted that Danielle played no role in that breakup, Marty clearly feels differently. “This is an absolute disgrace, what they both did,” Marty assesses. “Having no regard for Gina and her kids and Danielle’s kids is something I will never understand,” he says. Danielle’s adult daughters were “pushing back” over the weekend over concerns that Danielle was moving too quickly. There’s just one other twist about Olivier. Remember when Danielle revealed that he’s a duke — the duke of Provence? It turns out that he might not be a real duke after all. See, the duchy of Provence was absorbed by the French monarchy centuries ago. So his ancestor may have been nobility centuries ago — but, honestly, whose wasn’t ? The way that bloodlines work, most of us are descended from nobles or even royalty, but most of us don’t claim titles that don’t exist anymore. Maybe Danielle dodged a bullet. Robert E. Lee Descendant Resigns As Pastor After Denouncing White Supremacy At The #VMAs

Jason LaVeris/FilmMagic Robert Lee IV Quits Job As Pastor After VMAs Speech A Pastor who spoke out against white supremacy at the 2017 VMAs recently left his church. Robert Lee IV, the great-great-great-great-nephew of Army General Robert E. Lee denounced his ancestor during the VMAs as “an idol of white supremacy, racism, and hate.” He said as much while standing beside Susan Bro, the mother of Heather Heyer who was mowed down by a white supremacist in Charlottesville. “As a pastor, it is my moral duty to speak out against racism, America’s original sin,” said Lee. “Today, I call on all of us with privilege and power to answer God’s call to confront racism and white supremacy head-on. We can find inspiration in the Black Lives Matter movement, the women who marched in the Women’s March in January, and, especially, Heather Heyer, who died fighting for her beliefs.” Now he’s quit his job as the Pastor of Bethany United Church of Christ in Winston-Salem, N.C. amid controversy for his comments. An official statement from the pastor published on the Auburn Theological Seminary reads; “My presence at the church as a descendent of Robert E. Lee and an outspoken opponent of White Supremacy had already attracted attention, but with my appearance on MTV the media’s focus on my church reached an all time high. A faction of church members were concerned about my speech and that I lifted up Black Lives Matter movement, the Women’ s March, and Heather Heyer as examples of racial justice work. I want to stress that there were many in the congregation who supported my right to free speech, yet were uncomfortable with the attention the church was receiving. The church’s reaction was deeply hurtful to me. I want it to be clear that I feel a deep love for this congregation, and gratitude that they were willing to hire me as my first church out of seminary. I believe with all my heart that God did good work in my life there. That being said, when the church wanted to vote on my tenure, I tendered my resignation in which I told the congregation: Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images “I regret that speaking out has caused concern and pain to my church. For this is I offer my heartfelt apology. I understand that my views could be considered to be controversial. I never sought this sort of attention. But, I do believe in God’s role in calling out for positive social change for the good of all.We are all called by God to speak out against hate and evil in all its many forms. There are so many good things going on with this congregation and I do not want my fight to detract from the mission. If the recent media attention causes concern with my church, I reluctantly offer my resignation.” SMH at the church basically forcing him to resign for *gasp* speaking out against racism. We applaud you Mr. Lee, God speed.

All In The Family: G.W. Bush’s Ancestor Revealed As Vicious And Brutal Slave Trader Who Kidnapped Africans For A Living

G-Dubuhya has some explaining to do… G.W. Bush Ancestor Revealed As Vicious Slave Trader A recent delve into the family tree of former U.S. President George W. Bush has revealed some disturbing but not surprising information about his shady ancestors, who were apparently at the head of a brutal slave trading business. via MSN Now Here’s some Bush family news: A direct ancestor of both George H.W. and George W. Bush was a notorious slave trader, according to new historical reports. While at least 25 U.S. presidents have been descendants of slave owners (and 12 of them owners themselves), Thomas “Beau” Walker, Dubya’s great-great-great-great-grandfather by his father’s mother, reportedly went well beyond owning. According to genealogical findings, Walker was a slave ship captain involved in at least 11 slave-trading West African voyages between 1784 and 1792. Walker, called an “inhuman monster” by one British anti-slavery activist, died in 1797 when the crew on one of his vessels mutinied, killing him and throwing his body overboard. The Bush family hasn’t commented yet on these findings. Welp, now we don’t have to wonder G.W.’s unparalleled sense of “IDGAF” towards black people comes from. Not only is he programmed to be a shady towards minorities as the GOP goon squad head honcho, it’s also in his blood. Continue reading
