Dwight Howard Custody Battle: Royce Reed Wants NBA Star to Pay Legal Bills

Los Angeles Lakers star Dwight Howard and ex Royce Reed are still embroiled in a bitter custody battle about their son – one she feels he should pay for. Royce, who you may remember from VH1’s Basketball Wives, wants Howard to pick up her legal bills as he seeks to gain sole custody of their young son. According to TMZ, Howard earns $1.3 million per month and should pay her bills, otherwise the legal fight isn’t really a fight, as she can’t afford it. Her lawyer says she’s racked up a $44,113.50 bill and can expect her total case to cost $106,621.80 … a drop in the bucket for Dwight. Not for her. Royce Reed was fired by Basketball Wives this year, much to Howard’s delight; he went to great lengths to prevent her from speaking his name on the show. They’ve been battling over custody of their son for at least two and a half years, with no end in sight.

Charlie Sheen: Lindsay Lohan Tax Savior!

Charlie Sheen reportedly reached out to help his troubled Scary Movie 5 co-star Lindsay Lohan pay off her outstanding IRS tab with a $100,000 check. Lohan owes $233,904 in back taxes to the federal government from 2009-2010. Sheen and Lohan, whose run-ins with the law and stints in rehab are well documented, apparently became close during the filming of the horror flick. Lohan even mentioned her tax woes to Sheen, who has plenty of cash to spare. Lindsay, 26, reportedly declined an offer by Charlie, 47, to pay down her IRS debt, but he sent a check to her manager anyway – for a hundred grand. Pretty nice gesture … and yet a little baffling, considering Lohan isn’t destitute. She’s set to make more than $2 million this year from various acting gigs. To Sheen, of course, that’s a drop in the bucket. He banked $2 million PER EPISODE of Two and a Half Men and Anger Management was just picked up for 90 additional episodes, guaranteeing syndication. Guess it helps to have an angel investor … or a devil investor in this case?
