D’Andre Lane denied abusing and killing his 2-year-old daughter, Bianca Jones, but the Detroit dad still was sentenced to life in prison with no parole Monday. Lane, 33, told the court before his sentencing that he loved his daughter and all of his children. He said he didn’t abuse the children but did discipline them. “I understand you want to see someone take the fall, but you have yet to bring any evidence forward that says my daughter is dead,” Lane said. Banika Jones, Bianca’s mother, supported Lane’s innocence. “There’s a murder conviction , and she’s not legally dead,” Jones said of Bianca, who would’ve been three in November. “They made a mistake and I intend to correct it.” A Wayne County jury found Lane guilty of murder and first-degree child abuse in October in the disappearance of his daughter; the case remains unsolved. Judge Vonda Evans also sentenced Lane to 11-30 years for first-degree child abuse, saying he used manipulation, mental abuse and discipline to control others. “You beat and verbally abused her to others and you destroyed her mentally,” Evans said. “Physically you took her around and treated her body like a rag doll, putting her in a car without food and diapers and lied about a car-jacking in a city plagued with violence.” Evans said Lane lied about the car-jacking because he underestimated the attention it would get. Police and about 1,100 residents conducted a week-long search for the child. At 9:45 p.m. December 2, 2011, Lane called 911 and told dispatchers he was carjacked by two men in the area of East Grand Boulevard and Brush Street in Detriot. He said the alleged assailants drove away with his daughter, who was strapped in a car seat. The Mercury Grand Marquis that Lane was driving was found blocks away, with the engine running and the doors open. The car seat was there, but Bianca was gone. “Now you will face what you tried to escape with your life,” Evans told Lane, who was taken out of the courtroom after the sentencing and called Evans a liar.

It was the first time I went to Justin’s concert (I had travelled 8 hours to see him) and it was his first concert in Brazil. I was really close to the stage and I could see him perfectly . When the concert ended, I went to my aunts house. Around 11pm I got a phone call from my friend Erika (@seniorforbieber) and she said, “Bianca, I won the bieberfever.com contest and WE ARE GOING TO MEET JUSTIN BIEBER AT 5pm TOMORROW”. I started crying. I seriously cried for two hours and I couldn’t sleep at all. The next afternoon, Erika and I went to the stadium where the concert was going to be. We got the meet & greet wristbands. Once we got into the stadium, we went to the meet & greet line. Around 5:30pm, we were in the same room as Justin Bieber. I saw him standing there, smiling. I walked and asked him for a hug. He hugged me, Erika and the other two girls that were with us. I was by his side, just looking at his face. I couldn’t believe that I was so close to him. He signed our shirts and we had to leave . We were with Justin for about 4 minutes. The best 4 minutes of my life by the way. T he whole experience was amazing. I went to 4 concerts, in 2 different cities, I met Justin, Scooter, Alfredo and Kenny. U.S. soccer star Landon Donovan may be facing a crisis much bigger than his team’s elimination from the World Cup this past weekend – a forthcoming love child. A newspaper in the UK will allege that a British woman is pregnant by Donovan, who is separated from his wife, actress Bianca Kajlich, but not divorced from her. His relationship with Kajlich became the subject of great interest last week after they shared an emotional phone call following his winning goal against Algeria. Donovan, who played for the Liverpool football club Everton this winter, blew her a kiss during an interview, fueling speculation that the couple might reconcile. “It would surprise no one if Landon and Bianca were back together very soon,” said one of her friends. “They have remained in contact and are very close.” Landon Donovan is separated from wife Bianca Kajlich. The fact that he may have fathered a love child with someone else may not aid his bid to reconcile with her . The identity of Donovan’s baby mama is unclear at this time, as is how Bianca will feel about his attempts to win her back if this love child rumor proves to be legit.
