Kailyn Lowry: I’m Nervous to Date These Quavo Doppelgangers!

Kailyn Lowry really wants to have a fourth child and has a very strong crush on the rapper Quavo. Combine these two facts and you get… … the veteran Teen Mom cast member returning to MTV this week by appearing on a dating show that sets up reality stars with those who look like their celebrities crushes. It’s confusing, we know. Or perhaps it’s just very, very stupid. Either way, however, the dating series Game of Clones premeres this Thursday and Lowry will be playing a major role on it. Game of Clones will feature MTV personalities Lowry, Pauly D, Cara Maria Sorbello, Kam Williams, Leroy Garrett and Nicole Zanatta. It will set these D-Listers up with strangers who have a passing resemblance to famous people over whom these stars have gushed in the past. In Kailyn’s case, that means Migos rapper Quavo — and, as you can see in the trailer below, the mother of three is very “nervous” to meet his doppelgangers. Game of Clones Trailer According to MTV, the contestants will be “forced to look beyond each identical face in hope of finding their perfect match.” The program will use a series of compatibility tests and dates as each “clone” does his or her best to stand out from the lookalike competition. Kailyn will end up on dates with seven men who kind of remind her of Quavo, but will she find love with any of these suitors?  It doesn’t sound that way. In a recent Instagram Q&A session, Lowry claimed she “wasn’t thinking” when she agreed to go on Game of Clones. It wasn’t really the best experience for her. However, despite her dismay with her participation, Kailyn said there were some positives that came out of filming. “Met cool people but [I’m] also embarrassed and wished I didn’t [go on the show],” she told followers. Lowry, of course, doesn’t have the best dating history, so we can understand why she thought producers might have been able to succeed where she has failed. The star has three kinds by three different men, which may be why she claims to be done with the gender overall . In the same Q&A session cited above, Lowry said she was happy with the dating show because has no real interest in being with “another man,” echoing a sentiment she expressed earlier in the month. “Heard ‘Game of Clones’ commercial came out. Let’s just make it clear I would never be with another man again so…” Tweeted Lowry after the first Game of Clones ad aired. Kailyn, however, doesn’t just talk this talk. She’s also been known to munch the carpet. The Teen Mom 2 veteran was previously in a same-sex romance with Dominique Potter . And even though it didn’t end with wedding bells or even long-term happiness, it’s apparent that Lowry enjoyed the relationship. She remains focused on boobs over bros these days. But not all people with boobs, that is. As documented in detail below, Lowry still have major problems with fellow Teen Mom cast member Jenelle Evans… and we don’t blame her one bit. View Slideshow: Kailyn Lowry to Jenelle Evans: You Need to Clean Up Your Act, You Hot Mess! Game of Clones premieres Thursday, February 21 at 9 p.m. EST with back-to-back episodes. Will you be tuning in for it?

Cops Kill People: Stephon Clark’s Family Files A Wrongful Death Suit Against Sacramento Officers

Source: Sacramento Bee / Getty Stephon Clark’s Family Files Federal Lawsuit Stephon Clark was gunned down in his grandmother’s backyard by two Sacramento police officers who failed to identify themselves and failed to seek medical attention for him according to a new federal lawsuit filed by Stephon’s family. According to CNN , the Clarks, like so many Black families across America, are looking for some level of accountability from police officers who wanton kill, dare we say murder, unarmed Black people. The lawsuit not only alleges that the unidentified officers used excessive force when they fired 20 shots without a single warning, but also that Stephon was racially profiled. Of the twenty shots fired, seven of them hit Stephon, three of those in his back according to the Clark family’s forensic pathologist. “When the facts are fully disclosed, we are confident that a jury will deliver justice that reflects how grossly the police land city officials failed Stephon, his family and the people of Sacramento,” Brian Panish an attorney for Clark’s children said in a statement. What does the city have to say about this? “Out of deference to the judicial process and because this is a matter of active litigation, we must respectfully decline to comment,” City Attorney Susana Alcala Wood said in a statement. Of course. SMH. We hope the Clark family can get some form of justice out of this murderous abuse of power.

Gabe Solis Dies; Ex-Husband of Trina Braxton Was 43

On Thursday, December 20, Gabe Solis passed away after a secretive cancer battle. He was only 43 years old. Now, his ex-wife, Trina Braxton, is addressing both fans and those who loved him — and offering a powerful apology. On the Thursday before the first day of winter, Gabe Solis passed away from cancer. He had kept his cancer battle exceptionally private. Even many members of his own family were unaware. Though it has been years since he and Trina ended their marriage, the two had remained close. Through his appearances on Braxton Family Values and beyond, Gabe had become famous. Some of his loved ones learned of his death through the media, rather than through personal notification. It fell to Trina Braxton to address the passing of the man with whom she spent 12 years of her life. “On December 20, 2018, a chapter permanently closed for my sons and I,” Trina writes on Instagram. “For over 16 years,” Trina continues. “Gabe Solis was an essential part of our lives.” “Like all families,” she notes. “There are good and bad moments that are endured.” “But,” she says. “Those moments, good or bad still made us who we are in the present.” That is true enough. She then addresses the very complicated topic of Gabe’s passing being publicized before everyone was notified. “Unfortunately,” Trina acknowledges. “Someone leaked the story before we could make everyone aware of his passing.” Any time that police or medics or hospital workers learn of a celebrity’s death, there is a chance that someone will cash in by calling in a tip. Many entertainment news outlets will wait respectfully until notifications have been made, but eventually, they can only sit on a story for so long. Trina continues: “and I apologize to those friends and family members for finding out through social outlets.” “I also apologize directly to the Solis Family,” she writes. “I do humbly ask for your prayers for our families,” Trina says, addressing her fans and followers. “But,” she writes. “My greatest request is that when you are posting comments, remember Gabe’s passing is a loss for our family.” “He was a father to my boys, a son, brother, and friend to many,” she affirms. “And,” Trina explains. “I would appreciate privacy and respect as we grieve his unexpected departure.” She concludes her heartfelt post: “@gabe_solis1234 I miss you, my dear friend.” We of course understand why Trina feels responsible for Gabe’s passing being publicized. She is a celebrity. It was through his relationship with her that Gabe himself became famous enough for his death to be reported. But that does not mean that she is responsible for anyone learning that heartbreaking news from the media. Trina and Gabe had their issues — from their on-again, off-again relationship to some emotional difficulties while they were together. In early 2018, the two went on Iyanla: Fix My Life to resolve their differences and old wounds with honesty. It was clear to everyone that they still cared a great deal for each other. Our hearts go out to all of Gabe Solis’ loved ones. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2018: In Memoriam
