Ed Hartwell Files Court Response To Keshia Knight Pulliam’s Abuse Claims “Heartless” Ed Hartwell isn’t here for Keshia Knight Pulliam’s claims that he’s on a mission to stress her into miscarriage of their unborn child. The former football star filed counter claims in court against his soon-to-be-ex-wife to squash the story she’s putting out about his intentions. Via UsWeekly : Ed Hartwell filed a response on Wednesday, August 17, to estranged wife Keshia Knight Pulliam’s claims that he is “plotting to harm” her unborn child. The former NFL linebacker, 38, said in court documents filed to the Superior Court of Fulton County in Georgia that he “emphatically denies that he has ‘purposefully misled’ anyone about [Pulliam]’s pregnancy,” as Pulliam had claimed in her August 9 filings. On Tuesday, August 9, the former child star, 37, stated in court documents that Hartwell had been finding ways to “obstruct [her] pregnancy,” including engaging in “certain underhanded and unusual conduct that [Pulliam] believes to be designed to cause [Pulliam] to miscarry her unborn child.” In his response, the athlete states that the Cosby Show alum “should be ashamed of herself for ever making such false and offensive allegations.” Hartwell additionally shut down any suggestions that he has been using the situation to gain media attention. Yikes…if things weren’t messy enough…

Fired Fox Sports Executive Files Discrimination Lawsuit A disgruntled African-American executive at Fox Sports who alleges that he was constantly looked over for promotions before eventually being fired after 15 years of employment is claiming in a recent lawsuit that his unfavorable experiences at the network were due to the fact that he was black. via Deadline The plaintiff Jerry Davis alleges in a lawsuit filed today in Los Angeles Superior Court that the Fox Sports Corporate Group currently employs 34 executives above the VP level – and not one of them is black: “Indeed, to the best of Mr. Davis’s knowledge, no Black person has ever held any position at or above vice president in that division’s entire 19-year existence. Representation of Black individuals in leadership positions in other sports divisions at FOX is, and always has been, similarly abysmal. [Davis claims that] Despite his repeated and express interest in the [Fox Sports VP of Music] position, his superior education, skills, and performance as well as strong support from senior-level colleagues of various Fox music departments and other FOX Sports departments, Mr. Davis was denied the promotion each and every time. Fox Sports denied Mr. Davis the promotion each time because, as a Black man, he did not fit neatly into the company’s corporate culture.” Davis maintains he did not receive a single promotion during his entire career at Fox Sports because of his race. The Fox network is no stranger to being known for openly throwing shade to minorities. Do you think Mr. Davis’ case will stand a chance in court?

Via TheSmokingGun A corrections officer has been charged with providing a 22-year-old female inmate with homemade chocolate chip cookies in exchage for sexual contact, police charge. According to a probable cause affidavit, Abner Canda–a 58-year-old guard at the county jail in Everett, Washington–engaged in several sexual interations with the inmate, who is only identified by the initials “C.D.” The woman told investigators that, “I showed him my breasts, willingly for some food” last May. After being released from the jail, she returned to the lockup in October and soon had another illicit encounter with the married Canda, who began working as a corrections officer in 2007. Canda, the inmate said, came to her room in mid-November and “kissed me and touched my breasts and also put his hand down my pants and placed his finger inside of [my vagina],” according to the Superior Court affidavit. On a subsequent occasion, Canda performed oral sex on “C.D.” The inmate told police that, “in exchange for the aforementioned sexual favors, Defendant gave her homemade chocolate chip cookies.” Says a lot about how bad jail is if folks are willing to stoke the C.O.’s wood just for a couple of cookies. “C.D.” said that she decided to tell investigators about her encounters with Canda because she felt “guilty for doing what I did,” adding that, “I’m ashamed for my actions that’s why I’m saying something.” In light of “C.D.”’s claims, detectives spoke with other female inmates, “at least two of whom suggested that they…had sexual contact” with Canda. One of the women “even claimed that she had been, in her words, ‘dating’ Defendant while an inmate.” Canda was charged this week with custodial sexual misconduct, a felony, for his alleged sexual encounters with “C.D.” Canda has been on paid administrative leave from his jail post since January. Under California law, an annulment will be granted only if the court finds that there was no validity to the marriage. In his Superior Court filing, Humphries checked the boxes marked “nullity of voidable marriage,” citing “fraud” as the basis for their split. If Humphries is denied an annulment, he is seeking legal separation, which means the former couple could avoid all divorce proceedings. Back in October, Humphries released a statement, saying he was committed to working on repairing his short-lived marriage. “I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce,” he told People magazine at the time. “I’m committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents and I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.” On October 31, Kardashian filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences.” “After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision,” Kardashian said in a statement . “I had hoped this marriage was forever but sometimes things don’t work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best.” Court papers released online state that Kardashian requested the court uphold the prenuptial agreement the two signed before the wedding, which guarantees that the reality star will keep all money earned during their marriage. Kardashian and Humphries married on August 20 in a lavish $10 million affair that was captured by E! cameras and aired in a two-day television special. Their relationship is currently being played out on this season of “Kourtney and Kim Take New York.” The news comes on the same day as Kim’s sister, Kourtney Kardashian, revealed that she is pregnant with her second child with boyfriend Scott Disick.
