Source: Bryce Duffy / Getty Florida Man On Trial Throws Feces At Judge Today in WTF news, a Florida man decided to scatter his stool all over a Miami courtroom, and the Judge was his target. 33-year old Dorleans Philidor who is currently on trial was sitting in a wheelchair next to Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Lisa Walsh before closing arguments on Friday when he reportedly “cast feces” in her direction. Philidor’s response during the whole ordeal? He yelled out, “It’s protein! It’s good for you!” Fortunately, his stool missed the judges, but some of the witnesses got hit with it. One of the witnesses, Allen Rios, told reporters: “It was intense. The corrections officers and police officers were swarming. Like 60 of them. They told everyone to leave and you couldn’t go back in. It was a hazardous area.” After law enforcement swarmed Philidor, the trial was moved to another room so the courtroom could be sanitized. According to the Miami Herald, closing arguments in the trial were set to begin after a lunch break, but Philidor defecated and smeared it all over himself and the holding cell he was in. On Friday, he was acquitted of the original burglary charge but will remain in jail as he waits to face another trial in a grand theft auto case. No word on whether or not he’ll be charged for spewing feces. Yuck.
Now that Jussie Smollett has been arrested for falsifying a police report, we have a much clearer idea of how the actor went about staging his own assault. Allegedly, that is. Smollett is Free on $100,000 Bond He was released from jail on Thursday afternoon and rushed to a waiting SUV, not saying anything to the throng of reporters gathered around him as he made his way to the car. 2. What Has He Been Charged with Again? Felony disorderly conduct – for falsifying a police report. The charge he faces carries a maximum sentence of three years in jail. 3. The Judge Comes Down Hard During Thursday’s proceedings, members of Smollett’s family were in the courtroom with him as the judge, John Fitzgerald Lyke Jr., said that he found the investigators’ account of the incident disturbing, especially the assertion that Smollett had used a rope around his neck to heighten outrage. 4. What Did the Judge Say? “We live in a country where you are presumed innocent,” he told the actor “However, if these allegations are true, I find them utterly outrageous. Especially the violent, despicable use of a noose, which conjures such evil in our country.” 5. As for the Details in These Legal Documents? They start with the letters sent to Smollett on the set of Empire. It remains a little ambiguous whether police believe Smollett sent them to himself, but they contained a powerdery white substance. 6. Was It Anthrax? Last fall, divorce documents exposed Shannon Beador’s insane spending . This week, she was back in court, battling it out with her ex-husband, David. This struggle has revealed Shannon’s income … and that David remains furious at how much support he is paying out. On Wednesday, February 6, Shannon Beador filed court documents as part of her divorce battle. RadarOnline got a hold of these papers and learned a lot about the RHOC star’s finances. Shannon says that, in 2017, she raked in about $423,000 for the year. Given her tax bracket, she expects to pay approximately half of those earnings in taxes. (Notably, tax brackets are a little more complicated than that, as different amounts are taxed at different rates, but that shouldn’t matter to the court) The breakdown of Shannon’s self-reported 2017 earnings is that, on average, she made about $37,767 per month. For her occupation, she describes herself as a “reality televison personality.” Yep. For Shannon’s monthly expenses, she says that it averages out to about $30,235 each month. Multiplied by twelve, that would bring her annual expenses to about $362,820. Additionally, Shannon notes a $10,000 expense for “filming preparation.” That is … super vague and could cover almost anything that costs money that she does as part of her role as a reality star. After attorney costs, credit card debt, and taxes, Shannon says that the total balance in her account is $45,352. Not all of those attorney fees are for her current legal struggle with David, however. Shannon is also embroiled in another costly court battle. In the court documents, Shannon notes the costs of fighting “against a defamation complaint brought by the spouse of a former castmate.” That is a reference to David Bellino’s lawsuit against Shannon and Tamra . Though a judge ruled that Shannon should be dropped from the civil suit, the ex of Jesus Jugs has appealed the decision. He claims that Tamra and Shannon maliciously spread rumors in a deliberate attempt to sabotage his business to the tune of $1 million. But Shannon’s real fight continues to be with David. The dispute is over how much support he currently pays her in spousal support and child support for their three teenage daughters. At present, he is paying Shannon about $30,000 in support per month. In late 2017, Shannon described David’s monthly income as $108,168. He has claimed that Shannon rakes in about $900,000 per year — more than twice what Shannon says she made in 2017. Though Shannon did launch a successful QVC food line recently, it’s unclear how David came up with that lofty figure. One thing is certain: David is pissed. More than once, he has tried to persuade the court to reduce the monthly support that he pays to Shannon. He has not been successful. RadarOnline reports that David Beador’s latest attempt, on Thursday, February 7, was shut down by the judge. As a result, David apparently stormed out of court in a fury. Not only has the court’s forensic accountant not advised the judge that David should be paying less, but David’s other gambit failed. He had attempted to get the court to order Shannon to not consume any alcohol whatsoever while she has custody. Shannon countered that David can’t stop her from drinking if she wants to. And the judge agreed. “I’m not going to make that order,” the judge said. “I will make an order that neither you nor Shannon shall be impaired during your parenting time.” “But as for consumption of alcohol, you are free,” the judge ruled. “We live in America and you are free to consume alcohol wherever you want.” Shannon had argued that David had only tried to push the order in order to embarrass her in their very public custody fight. David is also peeved that he and Shannon must wait another two months for their next appearance in court. Though the forensic accountant may agree that David needs to pay slightly less, in the mean time, it will be another two months of the current rate. David blasted Shannon in court for fighting over money, but he seems to be the one who reportedly grows furious after every defeat. But the heartbreak is all about Miracle’s case. It’s looking like she might be going to jail but hold that thought. First, we start the episode with Jonathan waiting to get some botox done. He introduces Sidney Starr to MariahLynn as they wait with him in the lobby. Two seconds after introducing Sidney, Jonathan starts with the mess. He prompts Sidney to explain her situation with Nya Lee to MariahLynn. Basically, Sidney Starr said she felt like Nya Lee was attacking her womanhood. Jonathan says he understands but doesn’t think Nya Lee meant to come off that way (it does seem like Sidney is being sensitive). Jonathan has a bright idea for all of them to get out of the city on the weekend. The plan is to visit a wine vineyard upstate and have a good time. Suuuuuure. This is going to go well. Let’s fast forward to the vineyard. Sidney Starr rides up with Kimbella and Cyn Santana, who are just meeting her. You know Sidney Starr can be intense, however, Kimbella and Cyn actually listen to her as she tells her side of the story and reserve their judgment. Jonathan didn’t tell Nya Lee that he invited Sydney, but luckily Nya Lee manages to not have a meltdown at the sight of Sidney. Nya Lee’s plan is to just ignore, ignore, ignore. However, things take a left turn swiftly when Sidney pulls Nya Lee aside to ask for another chance, but Nya doesn’t think she’s sincere and that she’s just trying to use her…since she’s soooo connected in the industry. Nya also isn’t ready to talk to Sidney so she gets annoyed by Sidney’s repeated attempts to get back into her good graces. It really just seems like Sidney is trying too hard to fit in but these low emotional IQ people can’t really see that. Let’s fast forward some more. At this point, the group is stomping grapes and Sidney just won’t leave Nya Lee alone. She says she misses Nya Lee’s friendship. Cyn messy arse chimes in, asking why Sidney bucked at her that time. Sidney said she bucked at Nya to make her shut up. That triggers Nya, and she starts yelling at Sidney and really coming off like a bully. She gets in Sidney’s face and says she wants to check her but Sidney clearly doesn’t want to fight. They’re finally separated and we try to move on. Jonathan, Nya Lee, MariahLynn and Kimbella are left sitting together now (Cyn went to check on Sidney) and MariahLynn and Kimbella randomly start talking about the Yandy adoption situation. Both women are bothered by it because they think Yandy is fake and doing this for attention. MariahLynn even tells Jonathan to take Yandy’s moves with this adoption situation with a “salt of grain.” A salt of grain. Um, what? And you know what? She paused long enough for someone to correct her. No one did. Jonathan is still cool with Yandy, feels no type of way about her, and really wishes they’d shut up about her. Kimbella gets irritated with Jonathan defending Yandy so she walks away from the conversation. Jonathan says if he has to choose a side he’s always going to choose Yandy. Mariah feels some type of way about that. Basically, Jonathan is speaking hypothetically, but MariahLynn feels like he actually just told her to go somewhere (which he really didn’t). Then Nya Lee says jokingly that he’s only going to be in a tough situation if he has to choose between her and Yandy. Again, this is all hypothetical but it triggers MariahLynn so she storms away in a huff talking about how she doesn’t need friends because she has herself. Nya Lee, taken aback by MariahLynn’s tantrum, replies, “Oooh child” and that sets MariahLynn off (to be fair, MariahLynn was already annoyed with Nya Lee from how she treated Sidney Starr earlier). They get to arguing. Mariah Lynn is irritated that Nya was so quick to try to fight. Nya is annoyed because MariahLynn was, “Trying to test her gangsta.” Yeah, they’re both goofy. Anyway, Jonathan says MariahLynn is at fault for this situation for taking something personal that wasn’t about her. It’s all good though because you know that bomb Love and Hip-Hop security got the situation handled. Meanwhile, Nya Lee starts crying because “She let MariahLynn get her out of character and that he’s embarrassed because she’s trying to be better. Self-control is free. Anyway, now we get to the heartbreak. Rich Dollaz flew down to Mississippi to be present for Miracle’s hearing. It looks like things aren’t going to go well. She doesn’t have to go in front of the judge at the moment because the judge said she’s not comfortable offering a plea deal right now. In other words, there is no plea deal so Miracle has to go to trial. If she loses, and she might, because you know how these things go, she faces 2-20 years. It’s the State versus Miracle, not even the man she shot most likely in self-defense. The lawyer says Miracle has a strong case, but Rich brings up a good point—the State is not about to waste all this money on trial and not get something back from Miracle. Danielle has a lot of fans; it could work Despite her controversial role on the show — where some saw her and Mohamed Jbali as a pair of villains who deserve each other — she could raise the funds. 3. But why does she need the money? She says that it’s because she’s in negotiations with the landlord of her trailer park over past due rent, and that she may need to pay to have her home moved elsewhere if she’s evicted. 4. She promises that she hasn’t misspent her 90 Day Fiance funds “I bought my home, bought appliances, did some repairs to the home, paid for a STNA class, put a down payment on a newer car . It was not spent foolishly. I have not received a tv show check in a year,” Danielle wrote on social media. 5. So how much did she have to begin with? We don’t know — but she wasn’t raking in the dough in the way that Real Housewives or even Honey Boo-Boo’s family does. 6. Remember David and Annie? When the world first learned that Josh Duggar molested five young girls and his parents helped him to cover up his crimes, it was widely assumed that everyone involved would fade into obscurity, never to be seen again. Instead, Jim Bob and Michelle quickly rebuilt their media empire, while Josh started filing lawsuits. Josh lashed out in many different directions after being exposed as a dangerous pervert, but he was particularly angry at the police department of Springdale, Arkansas. Josh felt the cops had violated his rights by releasing info involving his criminal record to reporters from Life & Style . The judge in his civil trial disagreed in hilarious fashion. The thing is, Josh’s lawsuit didn’t make any sense, and judges are usually pretty quick to pick up on that sort of thing. Josh claimed that the police broke the law by releasing the records of a minor, even though he was 27 at the time. He argued that he has the right to expect privacy — and later in the very same lawsuit, he claimed that the release of his records had damaged his ability to make money as a celebrity. Like we said, the judge wasn’t crazy about Josh’s interpretation of the law or, ya know, the fundamental laws of logic. “Josh Duggar notes that he has a ‘certain level of celebrity’ and that he engaged in public life,” the judge wrote in his ruling. “Yet he claims that by appearing in a popular reality television series, being a leader in national, political, and civic organizations, and engaging in public speaking, he somehow was conducting himself in a manner consistent with an expectation of privacy.” Today, the same judge laid another smackdown, and issued a public ruling declaring that the period of time in which Josh could have appealed the initial ruling has passed: “The time afforded by the Arkansas Rules of Civil Procedure for the Plaintiff to respond has passed and Plaintiff has made no responsive filing,” the dismissal documents read. “It is therefore, considered, ordered and adjudged, that this matter shall be dismissed with prejudice as to the re-filing of any claim, counterclaim, or filed herein.” So that’s it. Some hero cops exposed Josh Duggar for the child molester that he is, and they will not be punished for it. Looks like there’s occasionally some justice in this world, after all. Splash News Just one year after Nicki Minaj ‘s brother Jelani Maraj was convicted of raping his 11-year old stepdaughter, his defense team has aired suspicion of jury misconduct, which forced the judge to order an inquiry. According to Newsday , the Judge wrote in a statement, “There is a need for the Court to conduct a hearing to determine the nature of the material placed before the jury and whether that material created a substantial risk of prejudice to the defendant.” The defense alleges that one juror told other jurors that if Nicki Minaj did not show up to testify then Jelani was guilty. Some jurors also talked about the case against the judge’s instructions and noted how they couldn’t “wait for him to be found guilty.” Other jurors reportedly read blogs and watched The Wendy Williams show where the talk show host slammed Jelani for being guilty. Despite the inquiry, the judge still felt that evidence was “more than legally sufficient” to prove Jelani as guilty. The new hearing is scheduled for November 15.
Watch: Judge Chases Down Inmates Who Attempt To Escape Don’t let the robes and the courtroom jargon fool you — judges these days are really about that justice life. Like Lewis County Judge R.W. Buzzard who took off his robe to chase down two handcuffed inmates who made a run for it from his Washington state courtroom. According to the Daily Chronicle , it was 22-year-old Tanner Jacobson and 28-year-old Kodey Howard who bolted for the door and down a stairwell during their hearing. Jacobson was in the lead bounding down the four flights of stairs, but the judge closed in on Howard. The judge grabbed him just as he was about to exit the courthouse. Authorities apprehended Jacobson a few blocks away. Both Jacobson and Howard have been hit with a felony charge of second-degree escape.
In April, Mercedes “MJ” Javid and longtime boyfriend Tommy Feight were married after years of ups and downs. Now, this Shahs of Sunset couple has even bigger news. They’re expecting their first child! Us Weekly reports that Shahs of Sunset star Mercedes Javid is pregnant ! She and her husband, Tommy Feight, are expecting their first child together. According to the tabloid’s source, the couple first told Mercedes’ mother. They then told the rest of the cast of Shahs of Sunset on Thursday, October 4 while filming the reunion special. This is amazing news! Mercedes has previously spoken about in-vitro fertilization and the sensibility of freezing one’s eggs. “I really want all women who are single and 35 years old to run to their fertility doctors and get it done,” she suggests. This is, of course, only directed at those who want to have children. “I just think it’s really awful to wait and put it off until you’re over 40,” she confesses. Mercedes says that she feels this way “because you’re just increasing your odds and you’re just making it harder for yourself.” “And don’t worry about the costs,” she says, possibly forgetting that not everyone is rich. Earlier this summer, she had “almost completed the [IVF] progress,” sources said. “it is a lot of hormones that can make us feel crazy,” she admits, referring to the hormone injections one receives prior to getting eggs harvested. “The truth is that I have a lot of ups and downs,” she confesses. “Moment to moment, especially on the hormones from IVF stuff.” “You retain a lot of water,” she cautions those who would heed her advice and walk in her footsteps. “You feel really great one moment and then terrible another moment,” she adds. Yep. Hormones can make a person go a little nuts for a while. “That’s the reason why I share because,” Mercedes begins. She says: “In my Instagram Stories for instance, I’ll say, ‘I don’t feel good today, but I want everyone else to know not to beat themselves up, to be kind to yourself and know that those days happen to everyone.’” “That’s how we connect to people,” Mercedes explains. It always feels good to help others by using your own experiences. “If you’re going through something and you and I share that,” she reasons. “[That’s] how much we just closed the gap between the two of us.” Mercedes Javid and Tommy Feight have had, as we mentioned, some ups and downs during the course of their tumultuous relationship. So some may be nervous about these two stars in particular being responsible for a new, tiny, helpless human being. But it is the hope of fans that the fact that they decided to finally tie the knot is a sign that they had worked out previous issues and are a happier, healthier couple. This is amazing news. We’re just sorry that her late father isn’t around to meet this granchild. We can’t wait to watch Shahs of Sunset online and, hopefully, see MJ’s co-stars react to her huge news.
It’s a sad day for Jersey Shore star and reality TV icon Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino. As we reported earlier, Sorrentino has been sentenced to eight months in prison in connection with a string of legal troubles that began back in 2014. At that time, Mike and his older brother Marc were indicted for failure to pay taxes on $8.9 million in earnings. Additionally, the brothers were accused of covering up their crimes by filing false tax returns in connection to Mike’s business ventures. In April of 2017, Mike was hit with additional charges of tax evasion and structuring funds to avoid currency transaction reports. Under the terms of his plea deal, Sorrentino was only forced to plead guilty to one count of tax evasion, but that proved to be enough to land him behind bars. Mike’s attorneys argued that he played a minimal role in the financial conspiracy masterminded by his brother (who has already been sentenced to two years in prison). They also noted that Sorrentino has worked hard to overcome the substance abuse issues that plagued him as a young adult. Speaking on his own behalf, Sorrentino made a heartfelt plea for leniency that ultimately fell on deaf ears. “I am deeply sorry. I will forever regret the decisions I made,” he told the court. “I overcame my demons in 34 months,” Sorrentino added. “I was in almost a full year of treatment. I lost everything in a short period of time. I was immature. Everything came overnight.” Sorrentino joked that he “doesn’t even speed anymore” before listing the ways in which he’s served his community over the course of the past three years. “I have a new team of professionals helping me. I work at two rehabs to share my story,” he said. “I volunteer at the police department. I warn kids of the dangers of substance abuse. I want to continue to be a positive role model in my community.” But despite Mike’s obvious remorse, his good works, and the endorsement of his Shore castmates — all of whom were present in the courtroom today — the judge denied Sorrentino’s request for probation and a fine and his only penalties. In addition to jail time, Mike will be forced to serve 500 hours of community service and pay a $10,000 fine within 30 days. He has already paid $123,913 in restitution. There’s no word yet on when Mike will begin serving his sentence, but it currently looks as though he will not be appearing in the planned third season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation .
